Stopped at Chapter 25. Introduced best friend and some side characters but due to the fact that he's actually a 30+ year old transmigrator douche-bag, they get pushed to the side simply because he was too "mature" for them. Don't introduce characters in detail and with significance, especially "best friends" then dump them 10 chapters later because he's too grown for them. Lazy a$$ writing. And makes for a very unlikable MC. Verdict: dropped.

Moreover, they were introduced, most likely, for future events; unless you are the typical guy that likes to have characters introduced instantly when something new happens

You think this makes a novel bad? In fact, I think the opposite. If an author is too lazy to introduce characters other than the main characters, it makes the novel extremely predictable. Would you rather watch Game of Thrones, where at least one or two characters die per episode, or some indie series, where the director didn't have enough money to have any side characters due to money constraints? You seem to be very easily satisfied with bottom tier, cliche plots, which is probably why you might be having trouble enjoying something just a little bit more complex.
My opinion is more balanced in this actually, first is keeping some relevance to past characters, not to all but some and of course they doesn't have to be MC friends/enemy or no connection to MC at all, I am just saying is make some sub-protagonist characters so that I won't feel that I wasted my time reading those chapters and instead should have started reading from where MC reach higher realm. There are also some disposable characters which are made so that they can hive an better world view and help is world building. Second, the hidden slice of life it what make MC feel more alive but most of the time it leaves me disappointed because what most authors do is put much effort is the early 100-200 ch that it becomes boring to read and when you reach at stage in novel where MC has acquired some reputation and strength it when authors just completely wraps it up in chapter or two. And most this novel have an absert end where MC just starts to gain power after power and defeats the final boss. This problem is everywhere as where author is very energetic at start of the novel and overdo everything and while the novel progress slowly starts to fall ill where we can see he starts to break the rule he himself created in the early chapters and at the end of the novel he is like an old man at end of his life doing everything to complete the novel soon as possible as if he will die now or then
