This applies to mass releases too. 3. There is no rape or any kind of abuse in this novel. No cheating or third party or NTR. 4. My FL does not have a meek personality. She is extremely scheming and cunning. So there will be more face slaps. 5. This novel will be longer than CEO's woman. This will have more than 500 chapters but less than 1k. 6. Romance is ummmm... slow? There will be smut every 200 chapters. hahaha... kidding. FL is already 27 years old so she is already mature. If you are looking for a female protagonist who is neither a ridiculously violent type, an infuriatingly stupid and clumsy type or a so soft and weak a breeze could break her type then you have found the right book! The FL is not the most book smart but she definitely has common sense and business acumen in buckets. I find her characterisation surprisingly refreshingly particularly in how she is exploring her feelings towards the ML - as in, she feels what real women feel in bewilderment towards their contradictory feelings! There are also no ridiculous misunderstandings, she actually talks to people around her and clears the air well before it becomes stupid. She does not suddenly become distracted when she gets together with ML and she is not some shy virgin keeping herself chaste and pure for the ML only! It’s the other way around. Now I will say ML might be unrealistically perfect in the sense of his devotion to FL - but dang it I need that to cleanse me of the rapist and yandere ML’s that seem to make up the majority of stories around here. The ML has his flaws and hardships in life but he does not allow this to distract from his feelings for ML. He is a steady and dependable partner - and they are partners! This is not a case of FL suddenly losing all agency when they get together and ML just does everything. No, they get **** done as a team and it’s awesome. Other positives: - You can tell the author thought about many elements of the story in advance. It does not feel cobbled together or rushed or just going with the flow. There is a method there and the reveals are well timed and do not pull you out of the flow of the story. - There is a good balance of romance, thriller and action to the story. Not so soppy that I skip parts of too verbose that it insults my intelligence as a ready. Very well balanced. - The author is clearly sensible and understands her audience. There is no glossed over rape, no justification of gratuitous violence and the world building makes sense. Even where the author has had to deviate away from or make up frameworks existing in the real world. - The side characters in the FL and ML’s orbits are well constructed in that they clearly have their own personalities and motivations and back stories. I did worry that they would become a bit trope-y (particularly the secretaries and the best friends) but they do complement the leads well. I will say though that some of the villains started out strong (Yang Lina, Qin Fei) with good backstories and motivations but others became a tiny bit cliched and over the top. This goes for both male and female villains. However, I think they do have a purpose in driving some of the drama and it is not super annoying or obvious as in other stories where villains that should have been removed keep recycling. I will say that where they are now makes absolute sense within the context of the story. I rarely write reviews or rave about a story. In fact this is only the second story that has received this treatment. Definitely recommend! Great job, author!

If you have read this author's other novel, "The CEO's Woman", then you would know that this author writes well. I'm sure that this novel will also be full of surprises, satisfying plot twists, exciting cliffhangers and overall a great story. You would also know that this author works hard to give her readers regular updates and mass releases. So while she continues to write for "The CEO's Woman", let's be patient for her updates for this new novel. The title alone is already intriguing! So this is a female lead novel. She is a strong female lead but she also ends up being someone's wife, a villian's wife? Now that is a perspective that I have not read about before. Going to jump on this because I love how the FL is the tycoon rather than the male. There's plenty enough of that out there, and I'm way intrigued by the synopsis (which btw was really long 😂 I wonder if that should be cut down....but I did enjoy reading it!) and review of the author giving us more info/insight into what the story will be like. Based on what I know of CEO's Woman, I know when author says the FL will be strong, specifically cunning and scheming, it will be true. Jiang Yue was one of the better FL's I've seen on WN, so I'm really looking forward to Lily who screams attitude to me. And the fact that it also has no rape is a big positive for me. Trauma and hardship is ok because life isn't fair, but we need healthier relationships depicted in stories. I do find it funny though that the ML was the one being "taken advantage" of in this story though. 😂 Looks like the roles are reversed and now we'll have a (future) doting wife and hubby trying to catch his senpai- err wifey's attention lol. Two chapters is too short to really review the story at this point, but I at least wanted to express my excitement for the story as well as its promise of taking a spin on the 'classic(?)' CEO tale. (I don't remember the last time when I got moderately hyped up by the infamous CEO story >.<'.) Best of luck!

There is only two chapters out so far, so it's too soon to judge properly. But from what I've read so far.. •Captivating plotline, immediately drew me to the story from the very first chapter. It made me want to read more, so the opening is very good. The mysteries are laid out without much confusion, the incidence seven years ago - the interaction between the leads in the first chapter. I can't wait to find out more of the situation that lead to her leaving that cruel place. • The emotions of the female lead, this is very important. It's only two chapters in but I already feel bad for her and can sympathize with her situation, and I can feel her pain and anguish. The FL, just two chapters in but since the emotions are portrayed so well. I can already see this "independent" character, a story about a woman who through all her hardships and pain moved forward with her life 🤔🤔 my impression so far. Discliamer: I have not read it yet and won't until there are more chapters. Mainly giving it five stars base on the fact that I really like the CEO's woman by the same author and I want to help the author. The CEO's woman is very interesting, characters are well developed and the plot is gripping. Hopefully I will love this novel as much as I love the CEO's woman.

A Unique, Realistic and Sensible Lead Couple. After reading them, you will end up saying - "That is how a Woman Should be!. And that's how genteel her Man should be.!" A beautiful relationship, NO MISUNDERSTANDINGS WHATSOEVER, good amount of Face slaps and, The best part is - THE LEAD COUPLE! I am a loyal fan now.

Not yet done with The CEO's Woman, but having another to read while stocking SS is perfect. 😁 Lily, Liam Arison, Facci--non asian names makes the story more refreshing for some weird reason. I don't know why I pick up on this haha. The story of course is good even if you have not read Blip's other story. But I wish more was released but once a day is better than less. Really like the female lead teasing poor male lead. Will be supporting you!
