I love that you made a Pokémon based novel and sorry that I’m using this not for review but to ask my own question. In my opinion Pokémon are dangerous and powerful beings that can kill humans with relative ease even with weak moves like nuzzle or poison sting. This always baffled me but, It is hard to imagine that the people would let their children go on a journey to become Pokémon master when even a little bug Pokémon can kill them upon encounter. Sure the human can make friends with Pokémon to help fight other Pokémons but the power they displayed during fights could stray from their path and hit you or your Pokémon kill you accidentally while playing either physically or through super power abilities like ash and pikachu when pikachu shock ash like literally every episode with the force of a lightning bolt or maybe a machop wanted a hug and crush your spine by accident cause they are very strong in comparison to humans. Reply if you have any opinions

LIKEOk, so most Pokemon actually aren't capable of killing people that easily, most of the poisons aren't lethal and a lot of the attacks aren't either. Now if a Pokemon were to attack with the intention of killing a human and the human had no way to defend themselves then the Pokemon would most likely be successful, but a stray attack won't be deadly.
Dude even a small electric shock has the potential to kill us if it runs through our hearts, let alone a lightning bolt. We be fried humans, intentional or not. And the poison sting is a weak move like I said and it can’t kill you right away, but what would happen if they use string shot or something to tie us up and then use poison sting multiple times or just straight up eat us. I know that I’m killing your childhood memory by saying this, but you got to admit that there’s truth in what I said

This is not the real world. The attacks of Pokemon are indeed deadly to us such as fire electric and other attacks but they are not to the inhabitants of that world. they have certain resistance to the attacks which will be later elaborated as the story moves on. And the answer will be explained via scientific research by a professor in this story.
Nah man the cartoon is whack. I love it but it’s whack. I mean the people in Pokémon are pretty much immune to Pokémon attacks yet they can still be burn when cooking

Like Banette is literally made of the spirits of resentment of abondoned dolls and seeks vengeance on the children who abandoned it, but everyone is just chill about it. Like wtf.

I don’t think humans from our world are the same as humans from the Pokémon world. They have displayed numerous times abilities not present in reality like psychic power and and aura, so I think it’s safe to assume people in the Pokémon verse are much more durable and strong then in our regular reality.
There’s no difference dude. Maybe some have psychic ability and aura ability but those are purely based on the mind, not the body. I mean are you seriously telling me that their body can whithstand a flamethrower that can even melt steel yet they can die from being stabbed?

Pokemon lore actually has a small child evolving into an abra and pokemon and humans "we're once the same" and interbred, so no, they are not the same. Similar? Yes. But they interbred. If a psychic pokemon is your ancestor you are decidedly not base human.

humans themselves are basically pokemon in that world. Max, May's brother jumped completely across a really wide River. Ash was throwing logs twice the length and probably more than double the weight of himself like they were sticks. if you watched the show or read the mangas, you'd see multiple instances of humans(children and adults) performing feats that humans can't normally accomplish.

Like how team rocket survive explosions and survive falling from great height after “getting blasted off again” by ash and his crew
