Chapter 31: Party (part 2)

My ex-best friend is here.

Lilith's eyes met mine. She avoided my gaze and took a seat with the guy I saw before in the cafeteria.

"Girls, I gotta go and drink some water" Lindsay and the others nodded. Music blaring through the speaker. Girls and boys dance as I walked myself through the crowd. Red cups and some foods scattered in random places, few girls were gossiping as I entered the kitchen and walked out as they saw me.

I had a sudden urge to throw up and decided to throw all the contents out of my mouth on the sink. I wiped my mouth and grabbed a bowl of popcorns that was on the table and munched it. I just don't want to drink another cup of beer.

"Hey" a male voice is heard. "Nice to meet you"

A chestnut brown haired guy with thick eyebrows and a bottle of beer in his hand.

"Dooo... I know you?" I asked, chewing my popcorn. He let out a chuckle, "I'm Cole" he said, reaching his hand out to me.

"I'm... Ivy" I said as I took his hand and shake it. He replied me with a smile. "You don't need to tell me your name, Ivy. I already know you…"

"Know me?" I let out a laugh, "You must be mistaken me of someone else and..." pointed on his bottle.

"You're drunk"

He lift his bottle of beer and looked at it. "Why would I mistake my crush of someone else?" and looked at me. I stared at him for a second.

"No, you must be really mistaken me of someone else" I said, glancing down.

"Ivy, the girl that wears thick black rimmed glasses and now changed herself by wearing some makeup" he said as he sits next to me. "Sorry, I'm about to get some water here and luckily, you're here. My crush is here" he said as he put his bottle on the table.

"I don't have really the guts to talk to you. You presumably think that I'm into girls who wears makeup and wear sexy outfit. But... I'm not into that. I'm into you"

A tint of pink shade on my cheek. I always think no one likes me because of my looks. I'm not always confident of how I look, I'm always insecure of myself. I'm always that typical girl that don't like to be on a party and just like to be alone.

"It's just sad that you changed into a girl that wears makeup but... that's okay. You are still the Ivy that I have a crush on." Due to the embarrassment, I avoid his gaze.

"Did I say something wrong, Ivy?" he asked. "I..I didn't know a guy would like me and looked at me from afar. This is actually embarrassing" I said and walked away but he grabbed my wrist. He turned me around and looked at him. His lemon colored eyes, looking at me.

"Ivy.. I admired of how dedicated you are."

I slowly step backwards, avoiding his gaze. I glanced down and his hands is still on my wrist.

"I know on some classes you've got good grades. Your name is even posted on the school bulletin 2 months ago as one of the students that writes the best essays."

I feel my cheeks were burning.

"You like being with Lily and always being treated with food. You like Mathematics and like to solve them when you are bored. You like to buy and read fiction romance books"

I step backwards till I'm against the wall. His face is so close to me along with his lemon eyes. My heart beats fast. "I like you, Ivy Inri Stewart"

I'm stunned of his confession, a guy confessed to me in a party. A house party, not that romantic I can say. I've read a lot of romance fiction books where they've got a lot of confession and how they respond to it but I don't know how to respond a confession.

"I…"

"Hey!" A male voice was heard. I took a glance on my side and saw him again.
