Alex awoke at the crack of dawn ready to go. Slowly slithering through the forest that seemed to be a buzz with sound, literally.

I take this morning stroll to scout out the competition in the surrounding area. I slither around and slowly find a few types of creatures that seem to be quite abundant. There seemed to be a plethora of bugs and small rodents like mice and the such. After a little more surveying I find a few birds slowly leaping from tree to tree, but after a couple minutes watching the birds I feel this vibration pounding through the floor.

I quickly activate stealth and lie low looking for any form of heat source around me, and slowly I see a hulking ape slowly making its way through the forest. A few small monkeys seem to be attaching itself to the huge ape as he slowly moves through the forest slowly picking berries and feeding them to the small monkeys on his back.

I slowly feel more vibrations, shrunk to the ground in fear I see another behemoth shaped creature coming forward. A massive bear slowly took form, this creature without children climbing on it. The Giant Ape quickly looks that the incoming threat and with a shriek the monkeys on it jump off and slowly fled away, the monkey then began to bang on his chest repeatedly and slowly started to charged towards the bear who was also going for a charge.

The two creatures quickly met and there fists met creating a tremor in the earth around them while they fought. I didn't realize at first but slowly the bear seems to have grown its fir to an almost rock like consistency while the ape seems to have quickened with each punch, air arcing off each fist in a secondary blast of damage. Howling increased as they continued to fight each of them barely being able to make it from the others attacks seemingly at the same level of skill.

Finally the bear reared back and a huge stone seemed to form in his hands as he crashed it down upon the skull of the ape cleanly killing it. The bear slowly huffed and puffed and then crashed to the ground exhausted from the extensive fight. Only a few moments later the bear felt a sting as something seemed to have latched onto the back of its neck.

Alex bit the exhausted Bear with all his might trying his hardest to get the kill. His poison seemed to almost be useless against this huge behemoth and then Alex almost unconscionably slowly slipped his body around the throat of the beast chocking and ripping into its flesh at the same time. Alex realized quickly that something was wrong as his body seemed to weaken greatly.

The feeling of fatigue slowly increased as I remained but just as I was about to give up a the bear slowly fell and seemed to become unconscious. A few minutes passed that felt like an eternity and then I slowly released as I felt the rush of newfound excitement at the new system page in front of me.

Pure ecstasy followed at the pure amount of rewards from the system for his risky maneuver, he slowly crawls away but before he can manage to crawl even a meter away a horrible trembling began once more as the once dead ape slowly Got up and ate the corpse of the bear, slowly recovering from its injuries, as it eats multiple small monkeys move forward and tear at the dead beast as the ape seemed to be revived. The Ape slowly finishes regenerating and looks at me with respect. Slowly bangs his chest with a look of pure happiness in his eyes as he rips off the bears leg and tosses it at me almost as a gesture of good will. I slowly eat the meat that was offered to me by the hulking bear.

I slowly ate and regenerated stamina while carefully looking at the Ape. He seemed to be happily eating the carcass as I sat there sullenly watching him confused if this type of behavior was normal among beasts. Slowly the Ape finished the food and banged its chest and looked at me gratefully as it slowly left with its little swinging monkeys that clinged to its body.

I ate what I could of the massive bear arm and slowly headed back to base thoroughly stuffed. On the way back I got a notification from the system.

I rejoiced in happiness, this day seemed to be filled with surprises. As I return home I settle down to see what this evolution thing was all about.

The rewards were just two large this time, I barely know what to do with all these points. I think maybe I should put the AP points into strength as that would have let me kill that huge Bear a lot quicker than sitting there for ages. So I decided to add two points to strength and two more points to Endurance.

The vast increase in options seemed to have decreased with the previous spending spree. Whats with these over priced abilities?! Gliding is cool and all but seriously, you think i'm gonna pay 10 points of my preciously earned Evolution points on something like that. I look at the list and slowly determine Improved Venom would be the best. It seems the stronger the creature the more immune to my venom it is, so by upgrading that it would increase my ability to kill in a prolonged battle.

I look at my mission and realize that it only went up 4% even though I spent a whole day going through the forest. It seems this forest is truly huge, or I'm just truly small. I slowly look at the large red button that seems to shout Evolve and press the button.

The words seemed to be jangling in my head, I can no longer feel my body in this weird space. Its the exact same one from when I first turned into a creature.

I slowly look at the list and realize that these are just specializations of what I can already do except for the weird Intelligent snake. I look through the list and look at the Adult snake first, its pros seemed to be based on its increased strength and seems to have the most upgrades, but all the other ones are a bit weird. I don't even know what a poison type is let alone what mana would do for me, would I be able to cast spells like the ancient wizards in fantasy books? Or maybe it would be something like what the bear and ape did. Either way mana sounded pretty cool though the poison one intrigued me quite a bit I slowly picked The Intelligent New Born Snake.
