Chapter 1World Destruction

Bonk!

A sound of the sword hitting the monster's head echoed. Then the deduction of 1 point could be seen from the monster's health point. Accompanied by it was the monster's cry.

Ack!

"Geez! This wooden sword does little damage!" A young man grunted.

He clenched his teeth and fixed his stance once again. In his mind, he was grumbling for his low damage output. 'Dammit! This crappy sword deal little damage.' He didn't have enough money to buy a better one.

Meanwhile, the monster health points are 99/100. His attack could only deal 1 damage to it. He did all that he can to kill the Pale Toad monster, but his damage wasn't high enough to kill it fast.

Although the monster was only level 1, he was so weak that even killing this level 1 monster was a difficult task for him.

On the contrary, most of his peers could easily kill these types of monsters.

"Shit!"

He grunted and swung the sword in a wide arc. His attack failed to land on his target this time. The monster was able to step back.

He gnashed his teeth and thought, "If only I am a little stronger, I can defeat it in the blink of an eye!"

"I need to get stronger! I need to become a strong Magician for me and for my sister!" He shouted as he gasped for air.

Right now, his peers are already at level 2 and above. Yet, he was stuck at level 0! Level 0?! What kind of dogshit level is that!!!

What a shame! He mused.

No, actually, he didn't care about shame anymore! All he wanted at this point was to become stronger.

To earn money, to buy medicine for his ill sister.

If only the beginner's skill he acquired was an attack-type magic skill, he could probably kill the monster much easier.

But too bad, he got a self-healing magic skill. This magic skill although not bad, wasn't a good skill for starters.

It couldn't even be used to heal his sister's illness as it was a self-healing only. So to speak, it is also useless in a group hunting. That's why no one wanted to invite him to their party simply because his skill was useless in a group battle.

Fwoosh!!

The Pale Toad flung its 1-meter tongue towards him. He jumped on his right side to avoid the attack that was fast approaching.

It passed at him with a whipping sound!

After he successfully avoided the attack, he slashed it as many times as he could.

The enemy's life points decreased with every hit of his sword.

Bonk! Bonk! Bonk!

He waved his wooden sword again and again at the monster's body, trying to kill it as fast as he could.

If he didn't maintain the amount of power he was applying in his attack, there was a tendency for the damage to become zero. So, it's literally bad.

Currently, he was at the pond fighting the Pale Toad. This pond is outside the town where he lives and near a Trove entrance.

The current health of the toad was at 96/100 HP.

His brows wrinkled and he felt his breathing was out of order already.

Their class will start on Monday, so it's better to gain more experience before it.

Speaking of experience, it didn't mean the experience like in video games that you will receive after you killed a monster. No, no, nothing like that.

The experience mentioned was the actual combat experience.

If you're wondering why he was fighting a monster outside the town, then let us turn back the time to where it all started.

About three and half centuries ago, the whole world came to an end in a devastating apocalyptic cataclysm.

In the last report of the astronomers, it was stated that the real cause of destruction was the abnormal force that pulled down the residing meteorites surrounding the earth planet.

Those meteorites were being pulled on the earth's surface and caused the rain of meteors. Thus, it was followed by high-intensity earthquakes and destructive tsunamis.

Thanks to the advanced technology at that time, the earth was able to escape the immediate end.

However, these calamities were not just the reasons for the world's brink of destruction.

One month had passed, humanity thought that the calamities had ended.

However, something unbelievable happened next. Before they could grief upon the loss of their properties and especially their loved ones, another tragedy had started to peek out from the shadows.

The whole world was shrouded by mist. From this mist, grotesque and vicious-looking creatures came rushing to feed on humanities. They were mutated beasts of different types of animals.

Once again, humans were drowned in sorrow and despair.

At night, the cries of humans and howls of these mutated beasts were the only distinct sounds that could be heard. Humans had no way to fight back this horror. Even modern weapons were useless against them.

Many days passed by, and the human population plummeted to 1/5. Yet, their suffering was far from over. Even though nothing had resolved yet, with all the calamities that had happened, a new predicament had started to bud.

Pandemic!

Humanity was pushed to the brink. A new kind of disease had spread. It killed millions of humans in just a month. No one comprehended the cause of the pandemic. Not even experts discovered the cause. Mostly, the cause of deaths was because of Cell Deficiency.

Many years had passed since the calamity. The monsters from the mist were still causing havoc and the pandemic was steadily spreading.

When humanity was about to give up, a ray of hope finally brimmed.

A specialist doctor accidentally discovered a foreign cell inside one of the patients. The doctor was known as Dr. Eman Pablo. He said, "The cell is exceedingly vague, almost invisible from microscopic devices. This cell exuded a negative kind of energy. And this energy causes damage to other cells in a person's body."

Thereafter, many experts began to search for a way to stabilize the foreign cell. Later on, they called the cell a Hollow Cell.

Ten years had passed, a foreign researcher known as Prof Mana Gram, had discovered another type of energy from the fallen meteorites, which was the positive energy.

After so many years of extensive research, they finally found a way to stabilize the Hollow Cell, it was through resonance with the positive energy from fallen meteorites. They later named the meteorites Gram Metal.

With the resonance of the two opposite energies, the Hollow Cell had finally stopped destroying other cells. But before they could rejoice for this success, later on, they discovered that the patient's stability was still far from it. These two energies were too strong for the human body to handle; therefore, another comprehensive research was established again.

Finally, after many years of research, they finally succeeded in curing the pandemic. They invented a gadget that could break the limiter of the human body. Only by breaking the human's limiter could the patient handle the toll brought by these two powerful energies, the Hollow Cell, and the Gram Metal.

With the help of the new gadget, everyone with the symptoms of Hollow Cells could level up their bodies to become stronger. Every level up was equated to a 1% breakthrough to their limiter. Now, the gadget is known as System Deity.

Not just humanity had stopped the pandemic, they also now have the means to fight back these mutated beasts.

Three and a half centuries had passed after the world's destruction.

Back to the current era.

Numerous things have changed. One of the biggest changes was the world geography, from a big to a small country.

On the outskirts of a small town from the Middle Region of the P-country, a young man was currently fighting a monster.

This young man was known as Yman Talisman.

Almost 2 hours had passed since he was fighting the level 1 monster known as Pale Toad.

Currently, he flung his wooden sword in his hand to the monster at the front.

Heyah!

Bonk!

"Dammit!" He swore under his breath.

But no matter how hard he flung his sword, the damage was still 1. Since the wooden sword has a +6 attack and his base attack was 5, it means that the toad had 10 total defenses.

In truth, these status numbers are just a measuring tool. They were insignificant. What was the most important was the person's ability on how he handled the fight.

Armipotent

This is a work of fiction, any names, characters, stories or events, are fictitious! (Even the country in the story is just the author's fantasy as the author never visited those countries in the story) Armipotent is an archaic adjective meaning "strong in battle." Basically, it refers to someone who is physically tough in war. Originally, it was used to refer to the Roman god of war, Mars. ===================== Tang Shaoyang, an orphan who dropped out of the middle school to fight on the street as he found out school was useless for a penniless orphan like him. Tang Shaoyang dropped out of his school, fighting on the street, and made a name for himself. Berserker Tang from Youyouliucun. Afterward, Dragon Wing triad recruited him and everything was good for him. Even though the public deemed him as a tumor of society, Tang Shaoyang was having a decent life. Until one day, everything changed as an absurd and strange game started. "... Game starts! Stage one: Survival for The Fittest!" After the game started, zombies appeared out of nowhere. ... Ding! "You have killed 1000 zombies less than 24 hours since the game started! You gained 3 Talents!" Dong! "You may choose 3 Talents! please choose carefully!" Tang Shaoyang held his chin and mused what Talent he had to choose. "With Zombies appear everywhere, I need an infinite strength... this is one, I still need to choose 2 Talents more..." Then a lewd smile formed on his lips. "I want an infinite strength, charm and charisma to conquer women, and the last one, I want to upgrade my **** so I can please my women!" After saying this, Tang Shaoyang laughed aloud. "Hahaha, there's no way such talent exists... ehhhhh?!!!" Ding! Dong! "3 Talents are consumed! You have been granted Divine Body! Good Luck, Gamer Tang Shaoyang!" Tang Shaoyang immediately checked the detail of Divine Body. After a brief silence, he muttered unbelievably. "Such Talents really exist..." Young Master's PoV: Woke Up As A Villain In A Game One Day

"Now you see?" she shouted in a mix of annoyance and disappointment. "You can't outsmart Scrients! They're the most intelligent beings across the two realms." "You're right," I muttered, averting my gaze with a heavy sigh. "I made a mistake. I was too arrogant to think that a mere human like me could fool them." —BOOM!! "Heik! Wh-What was that?" "Hmm? I'm not sure. Maybe you should go and ask the most intelligent beings across the two realms. Oh wait, you can't. I killed them all.” ______ My name is Samael Kaizer Theosbane. On the last day of high school, I got into a fight with a kid I used to bully. It was a stupid, pointless scuffle, and in the middle of it, I tripped and hit my head on a rock. That’s when the memories came flooding in - the memories of another life, of a different world. Suddenly, everything made a twisted kind of sense. I realized two things. First, I was in a game I used to play in my past life. Second, I was a villain. A villain! Not the cool and mysterious kind, either. No, my destiny was to be manipulated and die a dog's death! I was the worst type of cliché: an ungrateful, privileged, insufferable young master. The sort you'd find in those poorly written fantasy stories. The kind everyone hates — a snobby brat from a powerful noble family who thinks he owns the world just because he was born with a silver spoon lodged in his mouth. You know the type. The one the hero beats to a pulp to prove his worth. Yeah, I was that guy. And the hero? The hero was the kid I’d been bullying all this time. The same one I got into a fight with. He was the supposed savior of this damned world. A world teetering on the edge of destruction, beset by wars, calamities, and a grim future that only I knew. And at the end of it all, the final antagonist of the game, the undefeatable boss… the Spirit King, was waiting. But could I even make it to the end? Could I conquer a game where defeat was the only certainty? A game that was now my reality! “Ah, fuck it.” I had no idea if I could, but I sure as hell was going to try. Extorting extras, manipulating main characters, twisting the story to my advantage, stealing the hero’s cheat items, killing villains before they could become threats - nothing was beneath me. Would the main characters be affected? Who cares! Would the story change? Even better! All I cared about was me—my survival, my life, my choices. “I will live this life with no regrets.” …But as I soon discovered, fate was not easily changed. And the price of altering one's destiny was steep.

my review for this novel(im not a hater, contains mild spoiler, I've read till chp 16) caution: read this novel if you doesn't care for faulty power/combat/levelling system and quite brain dead mc the story starts with how apparently weak the mc was. due to reason i'll not say, he arrived last at the school when they are giving free skills for first timer, making mc only get the last skill left that is self healing. nothing is wrong right? it was said that people can train to get attribute points and skills. with self healing, the amount of time mc could train the body is many times longer and receive benefit faster than other people, yet he never does this. mc is actually quite a clever kid, he managed to create an arrow almost as good as a b rank wood arrow by using a c rank wood (cost much lesser than b rank wood) + slime urine which is practically free. he also manage fool the guard by selling the c rank arrow at the price of higher than a b rank arrow. oh so you readers may wonder why do i said the mc is brain dead and the system in this novel is busted right? now here is the problem, the first chapter is showing how mc, a lv0 human fights a lv1 frog monster. you would see nothing is wrong here right? casual fighting monster 1 lv higher than you right? well, all is well until you see mc damages is only 1dmg when the frog deals like 30 dmg from normal attacks. the reasoning why his dmg is so low from the novels is that mc have no attacking skills (mc have benn whining how he have no attacking skill for all those 16 chp). but wait, you would think that stats influence the effect of normal attacks and skills. if an attack skill let you increase damage by 10%, with mc damage(that is 1 dmg), he could only dish out 1,1 damage which is way worse than his self healing which can heal his health for quite a good chunk. so the way i see it, he gaining self healing is way better than having attack skills. but than i notice something, you use magic skill by draining stamina? like wtf!! in the novel mc doesn't even have mana. if so, how the f other people gain mana then? its not like there is no poor people other then mc right? is gaining a magic skill unlocks mana? that can't be because he already have magic skills. why don't mc change his skill to a physical one then? he could always barter with other people for an attacking skill outside the school. honestly, the author is making level gap a big of a chasm. a lv1 monster can deal lots of damage against a lv 0 human is honestly mind boggling. its not like a monster gain 3-5x the amount of stats human gain when leveling up. if his damage is already so low, wouldn't it be better for mc to just chuck rocks from a safe distances using hands or slingshot, at least it reduces his chances of receiving dmg. besides how the hell mc as clever as he was never tried to team up with anyone else? even if he have low dps, he could be a tanker because his self healing. if his class is his enemies, he could go to other class to team up right? its not like everyone is an evil bullying bastards. he could also report to the teacher that he was close to for all his bullying which he never do. you could argue that mc is a loner/introvert but even i as a loner/introvert could report and ask help from others. he also have a very sick sister, which he very desperate to cure. so there is no excuse at all for him not to team up with others. his attitude for not seeking any help in all that condition is honestly just sheer arrogance and brain dead in my eyes.
