Ariel's plan

"Ariel, you can speak?" Aiden mumbled with a shocked face. As he spoke those words, he also inspected the area he was standing to see if Ariel was there or not.

"Of course I can speak to you!" Aiden could feel Ariel rolling her eyes at the other side.

"Where are you then?" Aiden asked as he looked around him.

"I am in your spirit space, dumbass!" Ariel chuckled and said.

"Then how—" Aiden was about to ask how she was able to speak with him from his spirit space. Yet, he was cut short by Ariel.

"I am using voice projection!" Ariel said.

"Voice projection? What is the difference between that and voice transmission?" Aiden asked.

"Voice projection requires a high mastery of Voice transmission to understand!"

"Oh, I see... " Aiden nodded not bothering to ask any more question as he could tell that Ariel was unwilling to talk about it.

"Why did you speak now though? You have been very silent all this while. Could there be something you want me to do for you?" Aiden asked.

Ariel had been silent all this while. She was silent even when Aiden was in danger and Aiden had mostly forgotten about her.

For her to speak by this time, it meant she wanted to say something to him or she needed something from him.

"Oh, you were able to catch up so fast... Hmm, I just wanted to tell you that I could teach you how to cultivate if you want!" Ariel said.

"Cultivate? You can teach me how to cultivate?" Aiden asked with a surprised expression on his face.

"Of course, I can help you master your elements too..." Ariel said with a slight smile.

"Really? Then I shouldnt have wasted my time doing all the research about how to cultivate all the stages of the Mortal realm!" Aiden said with a sigh. He just realized that he had wasted his time all this while trying to learn something that some he knew could teach him.

"HM, I was surprised that you didn't even know the stages of cultivation," Ariel said with a giggle making Aiden smile in embarrassment.

"Okay, okay, I have heard you. But what do you want back?" Aiden asked after a while. Even though he was initially happy that Ariel wanted to teach him how to grow stronger, he later realized that someone like her would never do something like this for free.

Not even in her dreams.

"Sigh, I am not doing this for you, I am doing it for myself!" Ariel said.

"What do you mean?"

"Actually, even though you have the larger power source I have seen, you can't provide me with enough power to live or even recorver my memories."

"You mean my power source can help you recorver your memories?" Aiden asked in pure surprise.

"Yes... somewhat," said Ariel, "The truth is, I didn't want to tell you this but since you will most likely find out anyways, I decided to tell you."

"Although your power source isbig, you aren't strong enough to control it. And if you can't control it, I as your summoned spirit can't control it either. It is only when you grow stronger can you control it. By then, your power source would have grown stronger and larger and you would have also gained the ability to control it."

"At that time, you would be able to give me the large amount of mana that I need to recorver my memories. However, to be able to do this, you would have to grow stronger first and that is why I want to teach you. Get it?" Ariel concluded.

"I see!" Aiden nodded. If it was only that then what Ariel was doing was the smart choice. By making him stronger, she recovers her memories. It was a simple duo advantage situation where they both benefit from the contract.

"I agree!" Aiden said.

"HM, we will sign the contract later!" Ariel nodded her head nonchalantly.

Aiden also nodded, but then a confused expression appeared on his face.

"Come on, you can ask.." Ariel's voice sounded in his ears.

"You, how did you?"

"The link!" Ariel simply said.

"Sigh... I was confused. Didn't you say you lost your memories? How did you even learn cultivation then?" Aiden asked.

When he first met Ariel, she told him that she had lost her memories and only remembered a bit of it.

However, if what she said was true, then how did she learn cultivation then?

"I just remembered it after absorbing some mana from your power source!" Ariel said with a giggle.

"You!! Liar!" Aiden rolled his eyes. He could tell that Ariel was lying from the link. However, he decided not to stress on it since he could tell that she wouldn't tell him even if he did.

Folks note that the second volume of this book is coming soon. Just as I said in my review, the first volume didn't contain alot of fight scenes and twist. However, be ready for alot of twists and fight scenes in the second volume. There would also be a little romance too. I have already typed a few chapters and trust me, it's going to be good!
