Chapter 49: Probing

" Swoosh" " Swoosh"

He dashed from one place to another, avoiding the claws that wants to rip out his flesh.

Panting. " That was close" he said and ducked to avoid a swipe to his head.

" You guys aren't giving me a breathing space at all !!!" He shouted

Moving his leg in a bent manner and balling his fist, at the right time he swung his fist right into the gut of the beast.

'Bang'

A loud bang resounded which showed how strong the blow was , unfortunately it wasn't able to send the beast flying. A white energy swallowed the force from the blow, accompanied by the sturdy fur of the creature.

' Bam'

He was sent flying into the distance, while crashing into trees.

" Damn it, that hurts." He cursed while holding his side which receive the hit.

A shadow came over him and before he knew it, he was up in the air while another hit sent him back to where he was previously.

" Ahh....." He gasped due to air being knocked out of his lungs.

He struggled to stand on his feet, when suddenly the air around him froze and started moving in circles around him. He couldn't keep track of the speed due to his fozy eyes, all he did was close his eyes and bear through his foziness, he gritted his teeth while gulping loudly.

The wind stopped and everywhere became silent, he dropped to his knees, gasping for breath and clutching his head tight. Claw marks covered him on different part of his body and blood was oozing out of the wounds.

The wind settled in the distance and out if it, appeared a wolf beast. It's furs are ash like, it's canines snarled at the wounded figure, ready to devour him. Right at the side if the ash like beast, a shadow crawled to it's side and out of it, another wolf beast popped out of the shadow.

It has a black curly fur that glitters under sunlight, it's eyes were glowing a purple shade, it also snarled at the wounded figure.

The wolf beasts looked back and created a pathway for a third beast, which walked forward majestically. It is larger than the wolf beasts, it's furs were pure white up to its strong legs, it's mane were white and milky in colour. The lower part of its tail glowed a gold shade which dimmed and brightens as it moved.

Unlike the others, it is a lion like beast, it growled at the figure, awaiting his next move. It's surprising how different species of beast with different abilities in the advance tier, bond together to take out a single person.

" Ahhhhhhhh.....you are meant to protect me, but her you are, trying to kill me ." The figure said with a loud tone.

" You are too weak, how are we meant to live with you, we have our prides. We will rather kill you than have you killed by someone else and render us locked forever in this space." The lion growled.

" What is the difference, even if you kill me, you will still be locked her forever." The wounded figure said.

' Dummy, if they kill you, they will be free and they will go into the outside world. Before you know it, they will be at the peak of the food chain in the beast world. Do not underestimate the guardian beasts.' a voice said to the figure.

' I see, but unfortunately for them, I'm not dying here, I have a family that needs me out there, I have multiple reasons to survive.' he thought to himself while standing to his feet.

" I'm going to pull through and scale through, that will be in victory." The figure said.

He closed his eyes and tried to summon the swirling energy in him, it shook violently and tried to unfold, but the pull isn't enough and the beasts ain't going to stand still.

Sensing danger close to him, he opened his eyes to see a claws swiped at his face, immediately he dropped down and rolled to avoid another claw to his head. The claw hit the ground and dug deep into it.

" That would have ripped my head off." He muttered

He jumped on his feet and immediately ran toward a shadow crawling straight at him, when close enough,he lept in the air and balled his fist which swirled with flames.

" Gotcha!!!." He shouted and slammed his fist into the crawling shadow.

Flames erupted and covered the area, a loud bang resounded, but that was all. When the flames cleared, the shadow could be seen. It rose and out of it came the black wolf beast, baring it's canines, it bite down on the figure.

The figure jumped back, avoiding the canines, he balled his fist and this time fire moved vigorously on his fist, he punched the beast.

' Bang'

His fist connected to the side of the beast, pushing it few metres back.

' That did well, but not enough." He thought. ' let's check what my other abilities can do.' he smiled and ran toward the beasts.

Different abilities in his disposal were being used, abilities like sword arts, fire, water, earth, dark blast, light blast. The most effective so far as being the light blast and the purification. The purification incinerate whatever it came across to nothingness. The beasts did well in protecting each other and as well doing enough damage.

They made sure to avoid the creamy liquid that is being generated from purification, few drops touch them though, but their top notch regenerative ability kicks in almost immediately, even when they are being hit directly, a multicolored energy covers them and takes away the creamy liquid.

" Damn it!!! Won't they get tired??" He cursed

Blood flowed from his body while his breathing were heavy, he couldn't summon any strength to fight again, everything he tried seems not to work.

" First, I am stuck in an unknown world. Secondly, I am being locked up for no reason in the same unknown world and now I am going to meet my demise in a separate space." He said while giving voice to a loud laugh.

Looking up, he stared at the body of the beasts which had few fist, burnt and palm mark on them. They moved closer to him, ready to finish him off, once and for all.

They surrounded him and blocked his escape route, making him stuck. Raising their paws and bringing it down with force, the beasts intend to cut him into several halves.

Suddenly, everything freezed, the claws were suspended in the air, something within the figure was shaking vigorously, trying to let loose. Light shrouded it and boom it exploded outward, pushing the beast away and destroying everything around.

The light spread out until different direction, destroying everything in it's part and pushing the beasts further, then suddenly it stopped and begin to retract. It converged on the figure for few seconds before disapearing, what came into view made the very existence of the separate space hum.

A being with wings like that of a dragon, eyes clothed with brimming white gold shade, sharp claws appeared on both hands and legs and finally a tail, the tail and the wings looks small like that of an infant dragon, the end of the tail has hairs like that of an infant lion.

It's body is covered in scales like that of a dragon, it's muscles like that of a lion, the wings were covered with furs and feathers that seems alive, its colour white gold. It's canines bared, they glitter and are sturdy like that of a matured lion.

He growled at the beasts, sending chills into their spine, the air around him was suffocating. An invisible pressure pressed down on the beasts, but it wasn't enough to make them lay flat, they were able to bear thorough it. Steam came out of its nostril like dense air.

' Swoosh '

He dashed and appeared at the side of the lion, the next moment he was at the other side if the lion with his claws digging deep into it's sturdy skin, a claw mark appeared on the previous side of the lion's body. He removed his claw and lept up, while midair, his wings flapped and generated a little force, propelling him down with force, he balled his hand and swung it down like an hammer.

' Bang'

The lion's head dug deep into the hard surface, blood poured out from it's wounds. The wolves were agitated and couldn't watch the lion get beating continuously, they decided to jump in. Seeing this the being held the tail of the lion and swung it In circles before throwing it into the distance, he immediately ran after it. The ash wolf intercepted him with it's claw, the being bent his knees forward, pushing right up, he swung his fist and delivered a punch into the ash beast's gut, sending it into the air.

Trying to follow up with the punch, a claw hand whacked him away.

' I won't let you hurt them.' the black wolf growled , it's eyes were glowing, the purple shade was emitting a strange aura as if it is alive.

Shadows spread over the place, shadow portals appeared around the being, the shadows on the ground touched the being's feet and he immediately sinked into it and appeared right at the swinging claw of the shadow beast.

The being crossed his arms to block the claw, but was still sent into the ground, he sinked into another shadow and was hit by the ash beast at his side. He kept on sinking into the shadows and appearing in different places, and been clawed at and whacked into another shadow.

The shadow beast decide to stop and let the ash beast give the finishing touch. The figure crashed into the ground and dug in few metres, he crawled out with his claws and fell face up on the floor, battered and bloodied.

Suddenly the air around him began to swirl, he knew the feeling and immediately fold himself while using his wings to shield his body. Claws ripped through his scales and his wings, wounds keeps piling up on his body.

Anger was rising in him and when he couldn't contain it anymore, he gave voice to a loud roar. His anger burst out in the form of energy, pushing the beast away from him and destroying the shadows around.

He stood up with his eyes closed, while relieving the feeling of his body which was healing at a very fast rate, when done he opened his eyes but instead of the white gold colour, it's now glowing red.

Looking at his hand, shadow appeared on it, he studied it for few second before throwing it forward and running into it.

He appeared right under the shadow beast and raised it up before slamming it forcefully into the ground, it's bones could be heard breaking on impact. Just one strong hit made the shadow beast incapacitated.

He raised his claw and prepared to claw at the beast, his ears peaked and hands made of shadow emerge from the floor and held the ash beast, who was trying to sneak attack. The shadow hand pinned the shadow beast to the ground, holding it tight..

After making sure that the ash beast wouldn't interfere, he decide to finish what he has started, swinging his claw straight at the neck of the shadow beast. An unknown energy from no where hit his hand away, making it miss the beast's neck.

" Stop it!!!" Two voices shouted simultaneously.

The first voice appeared as a blade in the air and the second voice appeared in the form of an emerald.

' what do you think you are doing, you numbskull??" The emerald scolded.

' lad don't kill the beast, you will regret it.' the blade said with a soft tone.

The being didn't seem to hear them but decided to process with his plans, the new entities had no choice but to take it upon themselves to stop him .

The blade emitted sharpness in the air which immediately went into the being's nostril and began detaching every connection it has with this form.

The emerald glowed a crimson colour and sent a red energy that converge on the being and aid the sharp energy in suppressing the energy enforcing the form.

The energy battled with the blade's and the emerald energy, it threatened to extinguish the duo's energy, but they infused more energy into him and successfully suppressed the raging energy in him.

The figure calmed down and his red eyes became white gold again, he looked around at the damages caused by their battle. The trees broken or detached from its roots, craters everywhere, even the air feels distorted.

' Hey blockhead, you have to use your energy to heal them, especially Leo( the lion. It is badly injured and might die due to it not healing from the wound caused by you. ' the emerald said.

" Why should I heal them, they tried to kill me." He complained.

' It was just to probe you, you don't expect them to be tied with a weakling for the rest of their lives. Hurry you don't have much time, decide now if you'll heal them or let them die.' the emerald said and disappeared.

' You're needed in the Gohu's world, you need to recover your energy before going back.' the blade said and also vanished.

" Sigh , do you guys need saving??" He asked but got no response.

He then moved to the ash beast and released a milky energy ( energy generated from his form).

Note: no one aside him can heal a wound caused by his true form, even the smallest of wounds, it can only be healed by the forms milky energy.

He placed his hand on the shadow beast( noir) and released the milky energy on it's body, immediately the broken bones started to heal, he then went to do the same to the ash beast (ash), before running to find the last one Leo. Who was embedded into a huge rock ( big as a small mountain), the spiky part of the rock pierced deep into it.

He with the help of the other beasts, brought out Leo from the rock, Leo's eyes were closed, it's breathing were very slow, life was slowly leaving it. Blood was gushing out of it's wounds .

The figure placed his hands on Leo and released the energy again, the wounds began to heal and after sometime it healed up, but the beast didn't wake up. The other beasts seeing this gave voice to a low howl.

" This is all your fault, if you hadn't chosen to go against me, this wouldn't have happened. I hope he survives." The figure said to them.

He felt exhausted and his transformation cancelled.

' Quick you have to refill your centers of power, you don't have much time left, don't worry about the beast, it will heal fully with the space's energy. But it will deplete the energy sustaining the separate space.' the emerald spoke while appearing at his side.

" Then what am I expected to do, the depleted energy from the space will make it collapse eventually." The figure said.

' All you have to do is submerge yourself into a pool of higher energy, then a passage will be created which will make the space suck in the energy. That's all, so start recovering, you have five minutes to go.' the emerald said

' Meditate near the beast, they will help you draw more energy from the space and it will accelerate both your recovery and the beasts full recovery.' it added and disappeared.

" Now I'll be the one being punished and carrying the burden of something you all caused..... pathetic." He muttered.
