The black creature trying to fit in

As the line kept moving, a young lad suddenly walked up to her and greeted her. But wasn't noticed due to the ear piece conveying a music she is wearing.

"Good day" he greeted again patting Margie on the shoulder

"Hey" she replied as she realizes herself and pulled out the earpiece's speaker on her left ear

"Sorry I was carried away by the music" she apologized humbly

"Ok, I'm Peter" he introduced himself and stretched out his right hand for a handshake

"Nice to meet you Peter, I'm Margie" she responded as they shook hands

"I so much admired your beauty from my car over there and I decided to come and familiarize myself with this damsel radiating so much prettiness" he flattered "Can I get your phone number so that I can call and know you…" he requested smiling as he was suddenly interrupted

"Hey dude, let the lady be and come fill your fuel tank" the concerned individual said in a high tone

"Oh" he said as he turned to the direction of his car, turned back to Margie and said "Please I will be right back"

"Ok" she agreed smiling friskily as he rushed back to his car. Margie shook her head sideways as she laughed for what just happened. She filled her fuel tank and drove off immediately not minding if he was waiting or not.

The harsh entrance she made into Absolute Justice firm immobilized the doorman and walked straight to the receptionist reluctantly not minding who is watching.

"Good afternoon ma, how may I help you?" the receptionist requested with a soft voice tone and smiles

"Please I want to see Dorcas, Yeah Dorcas Smith?" she answered spitefully neglecting the nice voice and smiles

"Do you have an appointment?" the receptionist questioned as she went through her computer

"Yes, she knows I'm coming" Margie confirmed as the receptionist picks up the intercom caller to put a call through to Dorcas's office

"Your name please?" the receptionist inquired as she placed it on her right ear

"Margie" she answered impatiently

"Margie who?" the receptionist asked again irritating Margie

"Please tell her Margie is here to see her, she will understand" Margie replied starkly with a high tone

"Ok, ma please a young lady by name Margie is here to see you the receptionist said as she heard Dorcas's voice

"Please send her in" Dorcas permitted and ended the call

"Ma, take the stairs up, the first office by your right on the first corridor" the receptionist guided

"Thank you" Margie said meanly as she made her way to the stairs

"Hello" Margie greeted as she opened and peeped into Dorcas's office smiling "Please come in" Dorcas said as she stood up to welcome her

"Good to see you again after such a long time" she added as Margie shot the door

"Really, has it been long?" Molly asked as they hugged each other and separated "Yes of course, like 5 months now" she countered and noticed Margie still casts the doubt looks on her

"Come on, we saw last after Charles's birthday" she explained further

"I'm sorry I already forgot that" Margie apologized

"Please have a seat" she offered pointing to the client's seat

"Thank you" Margie appreciated as she sat down and dropped her purse and car key on Dorcas's desk. Dorcas walked back to her seat as she saw Margie seat

"I do understand how busy we can be" Dorcas affirmed as they laughed "You are not looking bad you know, Charles is really taking good care of you" she added smiling good-humoredly, turning her chair gradually in sideways direction as Margie quickly sat u on hearing that.

"For Christ's sake what's going on? you are the fourth person to accord that I'm beautiful today" Margie said as Dorcas laughed hard. "So unfortunate that I'm not seeing it" Margie lamented "I understand; you don't need to see it. But you are glowing girl" Dorcas confirmed amidst smiles

"Ok, thank you" Margie gave in shyly as she leaned back on the seat "How is Shirley?" she asked interestedly "I miss her small mouth" she added as they laughed

"Shirley is fine, and Charles?" Dorcas questioned

"He is glowing like me" she answered as they laughed again

After a brief discussion on how their families are faring. Margie quickly announced why she came

"Uhmmm, I'm here because of Molly"

"Oh, it's true. I saw it in the news this morning" Dorcas said, paused for a while as Margie nodded unhappily and she drew her seat closer to her desk to make a committed statement "Indeed, so far our hearts still beat and our eyes still blinks, wonders will never cease to happen" she added miserably

"Yeah, that's why I'm here to seek for your help in hiring a good lawyer that can combat Vanessa confidently" Margie stated with so much seriousness

"Ok, I will" she accepted "That wouldn't be a big deal, so do you have anyone in mind?" she inquired as she leaned back on her seat

"Yeah, I was thinking of Patrick Bee but his specialization makes me doubt if he will stand in for Molly" Margie answered placing her left arm on the desk

"Asides that, Patrick is not in town" Dorcas revealed "Wow" Margie chipped in "Yeah, most lawyers are out of town for one of their conferences in Stockazul island" she added

"But Vanessa is in town?" Margie hurriedly asked inquisitively

"Yeah, stories have it that she has some controversial scores to settle with them that's why she didn't go" she explained

"I see" Margie asserted as Dorcas swiftly sat up on her seat

"But I know a good one who can handle Molly's case" she assured

"Really, who's that?" Margie asked interestedly

"Ginika Emechelu" she answered smiling

"Gini what? What's that? Margie asked again in confusion

"Ginika Emechelu" Dorcas repeated herself "She is black" she added to clarify her

"Black?" Margie questioned as she laid back on her seat frowning in disappointment "What's wrong with it?" Dorcas asked immediately, fixing an intent gaze on her

"Dorcas I need a capable lawyer who can stand Vanessa and not some black creature trying to fit in" Margie stressed on her opinion aggressively

"Margie really, so you think her complexion and race makes her incapable?" Dorcas asked but got no reply

"You really need to shake that mindset off your being" Margie cautioned because she least expected such response from Margie

"As far as I know and from experience of working with her, she is one of the best here and readily available one to handle this case" Margie advised meanly

"She should be in the conference right?" Margie smartly asked

"Yes" Dorcas sluggishly replied as she held up the pen in her right hand, turning it vigorously

"So?" Margie questioned again sowing her right palm

"Because of this same thing you are doing right now" she replied pointing the pen at her angrily and leaned back on her seat

"I get it" Margie replied looking gloomy and spoke up after some seconds "Dorcas, all I am doing is for Molly. I can't imagine the worse befall her on this, that's why I'm being so sensitive about getting a skilled lawyer"

"Trust me Ginika is capable of whatever you want in that law court" Dorcas assured pointing to her left as if the law court is at her left

"Alright, I will think about it and get back to you tomorrow morning" Margie requested

"Ok, that's ok." She concluded "I think I will go sign out and we go together" she concluded

"But it's not yet time?" Margie quickly reminded

"Yes, the dismissal time is 4pm. I extended the time so you can get here and also have enough time to discuss" she answered smiling as she stood up to get her bag

"Really, thank you so much" Margie uttered happily as she stood up and collected her purse and car key

"You are welcome" she replied and kept picking her things one after the other
