The strange man

Dorcas carefully zipped her handbag after putting all she came to work with. As she collected her bag to leave with Margie, she remembered the computer on her desk is still on.

She quickly took a step backwards and bent her waist slightly to align her eyes with the computer. She kept casting hasty glances at each tab that pops up, following the due process diligently, until she shut it down.

"Let's go please" she said as she turned to Margie

"Ok" Margie agreed and walked towards the door but noticed at some point that Dorcas wasn't coming after her, she quickly turned to know what must have drawn her back and discovered she wanted to pull the window's curtain to the other side in an enclosed form. She patiently waited as Dorcas battled with the curtain.

Dorcas still made her way to the right side of the wall where the air conditioner stood to switch it of as Margie slowly draw backwards towards the door and held its handle.

Margie quickly opened the door as soon as Dorcas switched off the air conditioner. The door's hinges made some noise sequel to Dorcas's pointed heels sounds as she walked towards the door. The hinges sound ceased as soon as the door got to its stop point by the right. Margie stepped out and stood on the corridor as Dorcas cautiously placed her right hand on the bulb's switch by the right side of the door's frame and switched it off.

The office became so dark that one can hardly pin point anything in it. The office equipments stood still humbly, awaiting Dorcas's return for work in the morning.

Dorcas held the door's handle and drew the door to the left, making the door's lock to face her directly. She diligently pushed in the key into the lock and turned it to the right to make a kpaa sound confirming that it has locked. She pulled out the key, unzipped her side bag to put the key and turned as Margie progressed to the stairs.

"I think I have to change the brand of heels I wear" Dorcas asserted as she held the stairs reel and carefully watched her steps through the stair in order not to fall

"Which one do you patronize?" Margie asked interestedly as she looked back at her to ascertain if the brand is a good one or not

"Shy brand" she replied and stopped on the plain ground before the next stairs prompting Margie to stop too

"Shy?" Margie ascertained surprisingly expecting no response as she turned back to face her "I wear Shy brands too" she added as she held unto the reel with her left hand and place her right hand with which she held her purse on her waist, making her left knee joint to bend backwardly to compensate the standing position.

"It hurts the back side of my ankle" Dorcas complained as she slants her right leg to the left to enable Margie see the already healing wound she incurred from one of her heels. Margie bent down a little to see the wound "This may be caused by extremely tight heeled shoe's edges" Margie assured as she stood erect

"Definitely, my shoes are tight on me but not extremely tight. Despite that, I still get this irritating wounds" she complained sadly

"Anyway" Margie said as she turned to continue walking down the stairs. "I wear Shy brands too but don't get such wounds" she added and stopped again to make a point "I advise you change them and watch out for outcomes of other brands and try to avoid tight shoes. Instead, buy loose shoes and add tissue paper at the toe point to make up for the remaining length" she recommended keenly and continued walking down the stairs.

"Ok" Dorcas accepted willingly

When they got to the reception, Margie recalled her ordeal with the receptionist and casted a friendly smile at her to reimburse for the unfavorable encounter she had with her. The receptionist understood what her smiles meant and waved at her to buttress a friend zone between them.

"This way" Margie directed pointing to Charles's car as they stepped out of the firm

"Charles's car must have performed a whole lot of work today" she said as the laughed and walked down to the spot Margie parked the car "It has taken me to countless places today. Thank God for technology" Margie confirmed as she opened the car's doors with its remote.

"I can imagine how tough the day has been for the helpless car" Dorcas said and laughed teasingly

"Yeah" Margie affirmed as they both entered the car at the same time

Margie started the car and kept looking backward through the back glass to enable her see what is behind her. She pulled out of the parking lot carefully, managing the limited space the firm has to turn and drive out.

The common challenge most workers in Tokex has is morning and evening hours' traffic jams. By the time Margie drove out of the firm, the streets were already congested. The evening rush of the streets and major roads was already at its peak. The pedestrian lane is overwhelmed with thousands of people on it. Each passer by wouldn't mind pushing down its counterpart to get to its destination.

The road side sellers contribute greatly to this jam because of their routine evening business transactions with their customers which drastically slows down the movement frequency on the roads.

The government efficiently in situated traffic lights on major roads, busy streets and junctions to enforce smooth movements on the road during morning and evening hours. The present government also progressively provided robots that that ensures order by signaling traffic commands during these busy hours.

The robots and traffic signs are never found incompetent or malfunctioning but the road congestions always renders them invisible. Over time, Gozax's advancement in technology has devised a means of using the kinetic energy produced by the friction of the foot wares and vehicle tires that pass on busy roads during these hectic hours to generate electricity.

Car horns keeps blowing, high vocal tantrums stroke at any end it can reach and unmanaged movements of the pedestrians kept the street on a motion of chaos.

Margie had gotten use to the streets and kept maneuvering junctions with traffic congestions. Unfortunately, she got to Alumzy junction which leads to Mamieu-Green where Dorcas resides and couldn't help it but join the queue.

"You are indeed good in this" Dorcas confessed "I can't believe we are here already" she declared as she kept staring to and fro in amazement

"Thank you, I will negotiate with Charles to establish a driving school" Margie chipped in playfully as they laughed "Exactly" Dorcas affirmed amidst laughter and suddenly stopped when she involuntarily moved forward and backward calculably

"Wow" she declared with her eyes wide open glittering enormous anxiety when Margie quickly matched on the brake to stop the car from moving as she nearly hit a stranger. If not for Dorcas's seat belt she could have hit her head on the car's air vent due to the force at which the car stopped

"What's wrong?" she asked curiously as she breathes a bit hard

"I nearly hit that man" Margie reported pointing at the man, who stood still in front of the car, checking himself to ensure he has no scratch "Buh he was on my way" Margie defended as she turned to Dorcas breathing hard too

"Oh my God he is coming to your window" Dorcas asserted in fear as Margie quickly winded up her window's glass to a level the man can't reach her. As he got closer so he displayed aggressive moves with incomprehensive language.
