Barbie road

"Hey" the unknown greeted patting her shoulder

"Hello, hi" she muttered in confusion as she turned shockingly

"Sorry to startle you, I'm Felix but my friends call me Fex" he introduced himself smiling boldly as he stretched out his right hand for a handshake

"Cool, I'm Margie" she replied with forced smiles as she fitted her right hand into his in return.

Margie tried as much as she can to control her incoordination because of the amount of shocks she has received for the day. "My blood pressure for this past few hours will definitely be high" she thought as she breathed in and out, pushing her shoulder up and down

"Beautiful name" He praised and continued "I came around to see my brother who was arrested for murder, he is an anesthetist. He got arrested for being part of a cloning trial that went wrong due to some medical complications that arose during the trial"

"So sorry, I came to see a friend too" she replied shallowly notwithstanding her friend's predicaments. With the mention of an anesthetist she figured out it is for Robin's case.

Suddenly, Fex's phone rings, she thought he will walk away and save her the long stand. Surprisingly, he ignored the call forcing Margie to speak up.

"Please take your call" she pleaded tranquilly

"Don't mind that" he replied reluctantly and pushed his hands into his pockets to assume a better standing position for discussion

"Ok" Margie replied making fastidious eyes contacts showing discomfort. Unfortunately, considering her behavior isn't what Fex is out for.

"It shocks me how people can be so insensitive to another's emotions and welfare. The human subject that was used for the so called cloning trial died in the process of the trial. Unfortunately, he is an only son. His mother took to her stand to drag everyone involved in the trial to court because the medical consent was signed without her knowledge. Unimaginably, she approved the arrest of her own daughter too, can you believe that?" he narrated grossly

"Yeah, it's on the news" Margie affirmed as she keeps standing on her toes and falling back on her heels in discomposure

"Good, what kind of a mother does that? She also went ahead to hire one of the…" he continued, pulling out his hands from his pockets to illustrate better

"Can you just stop talking and let me go!" Margie acclaimed in her mind as she scratched her left ear frowning

"Are you ok?" he slowly queried when he noticed Margie's gestures of discomfort

"Yes, I am fine" she answered with unprecedented smiles

"Cool, as I was saying" he continued as Margie looked up to a neem tree near by hopelessly "She hired one of the most influential lawyers in Gozax against her own daughter, she…"

"Yeah, I think…" Margie interrupted immediately to cut the foreseen epistle. "She has the right to do whatever she wants; we keep praying she doesn't win" She added feeling clever enough to have maneuvered the situation

"Cool, by the way. You look so lovely" he admired as he casts lustful stares and smiles on her

"Thanks, please I have to run" she requested as she speedily opens her car

"Can I at least get a hug or your phone number?" he begged hoping to get one of the two

"No thanks" she said faintly as she entered and slammed the car's door. Margie's response froze him for some seconds, he least expected a snob from her.

"Arrogant bitch" he commented angrily and walked away

"Hmmm" Margie breathed out as she watched him walk away from her side mirror and dropped her purse on the first passenger's seat. As she tried to insert the key into the ignition point and start the car she remembered Dorcas works in a law firm as a psychologist and will be of great help to hire the best lawyer Molly needs.

Dorcas and Margie were compelled to become friends ever since their husbands started being friends and made the best out of it. Their friendship isn't so intimate because they don't share most things in common but never hesitates to help each other when called on.

"I think is should give her a call" Margie muttered as she inserts the car key into the ignition point. She grabbed her purse, unzipped it and brought out her phone. Still holding unto the purse in her left hand, she pressed the separate button by the right side of her phone with her right thumb to on it.

"Wow" she acclaimed at the sight of the time which declared 2:36pm. Then she realized she spent almost three hours with Molly and Olivia. Although, the duration seemed brief but still quite long for cell visitation. She quickly dialed Dorcas's number and placed the phone on her left ear hoping she will pick her call.

"Hey, good day" she greeted as she heard Dorcas's voice

"Good day, Mag" she replied "How are you doing?" She quickly asked in a friendly tone

"I'm fine dear, please are you still at work?" Margie speedily inquired to cut the exchange of pleasantries short

"Yes, hope there's no problem?" Dorcas questioned "Not at all" Margie answered shaking her head sideways in disagreement and continued "I will be with you in few minutes, when is your closing hour?"

"5pm" she replied "Ok I'm coming" Margie said as she quickly drops the purse on her left hand where it was and turned the key to the right to start the car.

"Alright, I'm expecting you" Dorcas concluded as Margie hung up the call

Her left hand handled the steering wheel while she dropped the phone on the same place it was with her right hand. She pulled out of the parking lot and drove out of the police station hurriedly.

She made a left turn into Mamieu-Beet when she casted a quick glance on the fuel gauge.

"Shit" she said frowning her face denoting she is running out of fuel. It came to her mind that there are no fueling stations in the streets which entails she will have to go back to Barbie road which is a major road to buy fuel.

She hastily took the next chanced left turn into the other lane and drove back to Barbie road.

Margie pulled in her car into the least populated fueling station she saw and queued on the line awaiting her turn. As the line keeps moving sluggishly, she pulled out her head from the window and discovered it will still take time to get to her turn.

She comfortably brought her head into the car and unzipped her purse. Surprisingly, she found her hear piece in her purse and happily launched the speakers into her ears, turned on one of the music in her playlist and inserted the pointed pin in the earpiece into her phone's earpiece point and listened to it, nodding freely to its beats.
