Reaching Out

A boy left all alone in the world after being abandoned by his mother in a poor clan that treated him harshly because he started showing signs of being different from other kids and the people around him. Though that plan never worked out for him and, in the end he was left to strive on his own as best as he could in the environment he was left in. He explored the towns library and any books he could find in his Clan even if they were useless. Years on years of doing such things eventually led him into stumbling across a book that would help push him towards the thing he wanted the most. "The Basic Guide To The Astral Path" This book may not of been special to anyone in the long run but, it was to him because, it was his new beginning. With this new path available to him would he be able to push through all the obstacles and hardships waiting for him or in the end will he stumble and fall? The Things That Haunt You

Jumping on one their back he thrashed and struggled to try and stop them but even with all his hopeless struggling he didn't do anything but further annoy them and what made matters worse was that instead of taking their anger out on him they increased their beatings on the girl who was still lying on the ground. Watching as the ones he didn't jump on held her down the other brought his leg up and stomped on her leg.

*Crack*

Trying to jump off and stop them he realized he couldn't because the one he was on grabbed his arms and prevented him from getting off. Powerless he could only watch as he repeatedly smashed his foot on her leg until eventually she screamed out as he saw her leg practically snapping in half with massive amounts of blood that spewed out. So much so that some even landed on his face and on his clothes. Seeing that he was pretty sure it was broken and most likely unrepairable at that point. Watching that Xilo felt so incredibly powerless at that moment and if anything was blaming and hating himself the most at the moment. Maybe if he didn't interfere it wouldn't have gotten to such a point but now it was already too late. The damage was done so the least he could do was continue trying even if it was pointless in the end.

"STOP It."

Shouting at the top of his lungs he was able to eventually rip himself off the back of the boys as he charged at the one who broke her leg. Tackling him full force he managed to push the boy back and cause him to stumble a little thankfully.

"Would you look at that?"

"Such a wild animal."

The other two watched their buddy stumble but didn't interrupt them because they knew no matter what he did Xilo was absolutely powerless in front of the three of them. Instead they walked up to the girl on the ground and checked if she was still conscious. Slapping her around a bit she eventually woke up as their leader crouched down and grabbed her face and turned her towards Xilo.

"See that?"

"..."

Of course she was in so much pain she couldn't respond at the moment or even struggle to look away. All she could do was look up at Xilo and watch as he kicked and thrashed with everything he had at their friend.

"Isn't that just adorable, He tried to help you but what look at where that ended up for him and you. Isn't that just perfect. I think so."

"In fact if he wasn't here maybe you wouldn't be in this position you know? Don't you just hate him for that. It's his fault your like this you know. Ahh the irony of it all I Love it.

Laughing at his own joke the girl in his hands tried to bite at him and force herself away but she was too weak to do anything to stop them. Watching from the corner of his eye Xilo was getting more and more frustrated with the way things were turning out. But now his only hope was that somebody would come and help him because if they didn't he wasn't sure what would happen anymore and he didn't want to see it either. Sadly though his words were also effecting him which made it harder and harder to keep trying but seeing the look of defiance in the girls eyes he still struggled on for all he was worth. Continuing to throw punches where he could. Maybe if he did enough damage to their friend he could catch them off guard and actually do something.

"Zelfin Why are you doing this."

"Gross. It knows my name."

Xilo called out the boy's name in hopes of distracting them with a conversation as he continuously tightened his hold on their friends back but nothing was working still.

"Why?"

"Why, you ask? SImple. It's fun and I hate the both of you. Unfortunately under normal circumstances I can't do anything to either of you. But it must be my lucky day today because you've both ended up in a place where no one will come to help. Isn't this fun. Oh wait. you probably don't know what that is."

"And I'm emotionless?"

"Say that again you little fuck."

"And I'm E.m.o.t.i.o.n.l.e.s.s.?"

Struggling to get those words out while fighting he finally hit a nerve just not the exact one he was looking for unfortunately. Zelfin seeing that thing everyone saw as a monster continue to pester them and fight back was finally sick of tired of leaving it in his sight especially after that last comment. "Damn Beast. What do you know." With his anger rising he signed to his friend who was messing around with that thing and told him to get serious. If he didn't want to get his hands dirty he would have already done it himself.

"Got it."

With that voice entering his ears he vision went blank as he was flung into the air and landed against a hard surface that scratched his back as he banged his head off the floor. Lying next to the girl he wanted to save he felt his vision go blurred and attempted to wipe his eyes so he could see clearly again but in the process something entered his mouth that caused him to cough a couple of times but at least he could see properly now. Though it wasn't a pretty sight.

Standing above the two of them the three walked closer to their position as Xilo felt his heart racing faster and faster with each passing second.

"In Trouble I see, Little boy. Let me give you some advice then. With me, know this.

You'll never have to be afraid ."

The next second he felt a woman's hand gently wrap around him.
