The Monster On The Other Side.

At the same time that voice was entering Xilo's ears Althea was sleeping herself in her room when a couple of minutes later she woke up. Looking around the room she wondered why she was awake so suddenly as she began to wake up. But now that she was up anyway it didn't matter anymore Though she soon got her answer with her mind clearing up and vague memories from her dream soon followed after that which she didn't quite understand or remember clearly anymore. However one thing remained perfectly clear to her at that moment. She Felt her body and soul pulsing as if a connection had been formed. Not quite used to the feeling since this was the first time it had ever happened to her in her entire life it took her a couple seconds to adjust to it.

"What a wonderful Feeling."

It seemed the boy she had chosen had finally succeeded something everyone else she had chosen had failed to do. Thinking that brought a smile to her face as she basked in the pleasant resonation of her body as she laid back down.

"Don't fail now. Not after impressing me so much already."

Soon words she'd never spoken before leaked from her mouth but after the initial surprise she began to feel comfort in them soon after

"Just know you'll never have to be afraid..."

That one phrase played in her mind on repeat as she stared at the ceiling waiting for the sun to rise.

feeling groggy and lightheaded he didn't quite understand what that voice was telling him even to this day but at that moment he stared up at the three boys approaching them. His heartbeat was racing hundreds of beats a minute as he felt his blood rushing all around his body as a pleasant warmth spread throughout him.

"It's truly a pity you know that?"

Unable to respond to Zelfin he continued feeling his body's changes until something unexpected happened. He began to feel an anger and rage inside him that he had never felt before in his life. Figuring he was probably just fed up with this whole situation he ignored it until it started to grow stronger and stronger almost as if it was out of his control. Panicking at his rising anger and impulse to move he tried to suppress himself as best as he could but no matter what he thought or tried it wasn't slowing down in the slightest. He felt like he was choking on his own oxygen with all the rage he was currently feeling.

"You're listening right? Come now I'm wasting all this time and effort on you and you're not even going to listen? That's quite rude you know."

Seeing the two refusing to acknowledge him he decided to kick the girl in anger as he stared at the boy with blood dripping from his mouth who had his eyes fixed on him. But something was different when he looked at him this time. Unlike before instead of seeing an unbridled spirit and the chilling cold that was starting to form he only saw darkness in his eyes now. Seeing such a change caused him to pause for a second from surprise but stopped himself soon after. Scolding himself for having a second of doubt he looked down at the boy again to ensure himself.

Except this time he felt even more worried than before even though that feeling was gone when looking at him. Trying to relax himself he tried to inflict as much pain as he could to the girl in front of him. It was a good thing he didn't want to kill her or else she probably could have died 10 times over by now. Why he kept her alive though was simple.

Obsession.

Distorted Obsession that wanted to break her and see her defiant attitude bend to his will as he enjoyed torturing her. He hated the way she acted and never gave in to his demands like everyone else and he hated seeing her the most when she was beside that thing everyone considered a monster. It disgusted him immensely since he considered her as his. That slowly formed into his desire to break her and Xilo with any means necessary. Especially Xilo. He took what he loved away from him so his hatred for Xilo was far beyond him merely being a monster.

"Gauh."

Completely forgetting about Xilo who was on the ground he immersed himself in her screams of pain as he enjoyed himself.

"Come now. Not so tough now are you."

"AHhhh.."

"He can't help you now can he. Hahaha. LOVELY."

Scream after scream that left her mouth soon drowned out any other noise from his surroundings as he continued to kick her around on the ground. Meanwhile his two friends took a step back and just watched it all happen without a care in the world. Now that they were both in such a condition there was no point in them doing anything anymore. Until they looked at Xilo on the ground but instead of seeing the same thing Zelfin saw they watched as his silver eyes began to turn more and more red.

Xilo himself hearing the screams continued with his struggling but he was slowly losing control. Even worse he started to feel like he didn't want to keep fighting back the feeling and instead let it loose. Maybe that would help calm him down. With that thought solidifying in his mind his eyes and even his hair now was turning more red without himself or the others noticing. Again that same woman's figure embraced him as he was getting closer and closer to losing himself.

"Are you ready? Can you handle it? Will you walk such a path? Or die here."

He watched as the woman slowly rubbed his cheek until eventually she disappeared. Once she was gone from his vision Xilo felt his entire mind and being go blank. Zelfin, still beating the girl on the ground, eventually got tired of it as her screams died out and she fell back unconscious again. Turning to Xilo to start his fun again he finally noticed the changes on Xilo.

"Really is a freak of nature eh."

Figuring it wasn't a big deal he ignored it and walked up next to Xilo who still had his eyes close. Unable to see his eyes like before, Zelfin didn't pay it any mind as he began to kick Xilo only to be interrupted in one of the most grotesque ways he had ever seen or thought possible. He watched as Xilo's back ripped itself open as something resembling a broken single wing dragged itself out of his spine opening up into only bones with blood flying everywhere around them with a force that covered everything in seconds. Watching the newly appeared wing open and flex itself a little bit he finally turned to see Xilo open his eyes and face him.

Enjoy
