Chapter 30: Searching the Ancient Birkia Island

~Kuro POV (10 years old) ~

I see that the flashing lights were done to reveal two large islands floating around the tower while getting the surprise of the others nearby me while I was smiling at the islands ahead of us.

When all the flashing was done, I revealed to my group the two islands we now have, "Alright guys from what we have here are the two islands I picked from the shop when I had two missions ago. I never found a good reason to get them ready yet but till now we now have two islands that will be useful to us."

They clearly looked surprised at the sudden islands but I wasn't done yet I explained to them the islands, "The first island we have is the Hungry-La Island filled with Gourmet Beasts with never before seen food and animals that are worth getting to savor once in a lifetime from meat trees, pancakes butterflies, Ice Cream Mountains, Cream River and I wish that I was making this up!"

When I gave out some examples to them, they actually looked intrigued at the idea and Nora suddenly rushed towards me with an excited smile on her face, "You mean that are Pancake butterflies that are actually made out of Pancakes?!"

Well should have seen this coming from Nora well at least I don't have to worry much about her Logia ability I think I should worry more about the Gourmet desserts they never stood a chance poor animal.

I nodded at that to Nora but I also gave her a warning, "Yes, but that will be a perfect place for us to train our new fruits as well as learn to hunt your own food but make sure to bring along a friend with you since these Gourmet creatures are defiantly stronger than Grimm ok."

When they heard me say that they were clearly surprised at my sudden proclamation of them being stronger than Grimm I mean they are strong in a sense and the food they provide will also help us grow strong as well.

Then Neo says with a voice of doubt as well expressing confusion, "Are you sure there stronger than Grimm Kuro sir? Sorry, it's just I find that hard to believe?"

I see that the rest shake their heads in agreement with Neo, well I guess considering this world only has fought against Grimm this is understandable since this will be different for them to hunt something other than Grimm.

I shake my head then I stopped as I look towards the girls, "Well from what I got the island should only be Lv.1 so maybe not but it's wise to not underestimate them. Oh, another thing to mention is that you don't have to worry much about the wildlife there won't leave their home and they will respawn again after 10 days so go wild hunting them ok Nya~?"

They nodded their heads at that but then Rem was the next to speak about the next island while I smirk at her and reply smugly, "We'll remember that we have Kagero as our robot ally? Well, this island here has some lost technology that is Non-Dust used ready for the taking but it required me to have the Goro Goro no Mi to activate it and have a small personal army of fully emotional automata at our call."

When I finished saying my sentence, they were all immediately surprised at the idea of technology not using Dust since in Remnant it's the major source of how technology is used in this world.

With the Birkia technology which is supposedly advanced enough that require the World Government to use all 20 Kingdoms to finally have them defeated, but in this world, we will have the technological advantage in the use of not using Dust as the main resource fuel instead will use electricity.

Hah! Take that you Atlas assholes bet they didn't think they were beaten by a Faunus in the technological department!

Hah! Today is a good day to be a Faunus… but I digress this for now.

With that, I look over to see the rest of the girls but only to see that Rem was looking at me stary eyes filled with excitement wanting to look at the Ancient Birkia Island, "KURO SIR! WE HAVE TO GO RIGHT AWAY I WANT TO SEE THIS ISLAND OF TECHNOLOGY AND MEET THE AUTOMATA'S?!!"

Ow! Ow! OW!!!

My ears are in pain from Rem screaming at me close to my face! Damn it Rem I know you like sci-fi robots but take a chill pill girl?!

Then I see Ram getting Rem off me holding her with her shadow while apologizing to me while I rub my poor cat ears… ow… "Sorry about that Kuro sir, I'll make she controls herself at the very least, but will we do exactly sir?"

Now that is a good question hmm…

I guess they can go to the Hungry-La Island while me and Rem go to the Birikia Island to jumpstart the automata's into action and see where we stand exactly in the technology side of things while the rest hunt to see how strong they are.

I look towards my group with a smile on my face and say, "Well then I guess Rem wants to see the Ancient Birkia Island so me and her will check it out to see what they have and that island is also Lv.1 so we may get some better things in the future just like to point that out."

They all nodded at this then I look on over to the rest of the group and say to them, "As for the rest of you. You guys have full permission to visit the island and hunt any food inside as well give a status report on what you found on the island alright."

When I was about to leave while holding Rem, I almost forgot one more thing, "Oh! One more thing make sure you guys are together and not separated ok? Also, Kagero and Cindy you guys are in charge in searching the Hungry-La Island."

The two nodded and with that me and Rem went off to the Ancient Birkia Island to see what we can find in this island.

~Third POV~

Kuro carried Rem all the way to the Ancient Birkia Island that was filled with hardly any plant life all around there wasn't even any grass on the island only a white stone that was from the surface of the moon.

When Kuro and Rem were searching for the island, they were surprised to see that there wasn't any life on top of the island, but Rem pointed, "Hey Kuro sir, why is there a large cave near the entrance of the island?"

Kuro honestly shrugged his shoulders since he was at the same boat with Rem confused of what the island holds, "Maybe a city possibly? I mean there literally no houses or life anywhere around here maybe all the technology is here in that cave they could have created an underground city?"

Rem pondered the idea that Kuro gave and thought to herself, 'Maybe that is true I don't see much around here only a cave and there is hardly any wildlife here, so it is a possibility?'

With that they both entered the cave both using there elementalize logia abilities of electricity and light then Rem notice Kuro and asked, "Oh? I guess you needed the what was it called again? The Goro Goro no Mi to activate this place Kuro?"

Kuro nodded his in confirmation with a smirk and also says, "Yeah while I was at it, I also got myself a Paramecia and Mythical Zoan while I was at I'll show you guys later and explain more another time now it's to see what this cave holds."

With that they both entered the cave only to see there was a lot of old architecture and advanced technology lying around and a few automatons on the ground.

The automata are robotic animal-like creatures, similar in appearance to each other, all with the same face and mustache. Despite being machines, there are no obvious signs of their robotic build on the outside, and they appear as flesh and blood. Fairy Vearth automata have the same wings that the Shandia and Skypieans wear on their backs.

This here is the ancient city on the island named Birka, where technology and architecture were highly advanced lost to time during the 1,100 years ago when Skypeians came to the blue sea world, and… now that technology belongs to Kuro and his group.

Rem makes a comment on the automata on the floor with a confused expression, "So Kuro sir, is these the automata's? Hehehe… they look a bit silly and cute."

Kuro does agree that the automata's of Birkia are a bit silly, but they are valuable allies since they still have all the programing of how to function the city as well as provide any help to them with the technological aspects they lack.

With that Kuro gives Rem a warning to which she steps away from him, "Ok Rem can you stand away from here I'm about to jump start this place using my lighting ok?"

When Rem was at a safe distance away from Kuro, he started to discharge a large amount of electricity to the whole city then revealing the lights turning on, generators are starting, turning, the electricity following a conduit that connects to a large jar that is now filled with large amounts of electricity, and the automata's started to come to life from the floor and their chambers!

When Kuro and Rem see all of this happening, they were fairly surprised to hear everything started working again and were mesmerized at the way how the city is starting to operate again.

But that all stopped when they heard the sounds of a march coming towards them they were the automata's coming towards Kuro and Rem while they were a bit intimidated from the small robots.

When they finally reached to them Kuro was the first to speak with a nervous voice, "Cough… well hello their automata's take me to your leader?"

Rem just jab Kuro the in shoulder giving him a 'really' look expression but then the automata's all just pointed to Kuro while tilting their heads saying, "But why aren't you our leader?"

That was when Kuro heard he gotten another announcement from the system.

"[You have gained Loyal Allies Army: The Automata x100.]"

When Kuro saw the number of them being here are at 100, he felt that was too low of a number for this place, but he'll ask the system later he first has to announce their presence to them.

Kuro just coughs at the situation and started with the introductions, "Cough… ok then yes I'm your leader the name is Kuro White and my friend right next to me is Rem…"

That was when Kuro noticed that Rem is no longer at her side then sees her cuddling one of the automata's and was asking questions on how they function.

Kuro shakes his head and sighs at the scene in front of him then thinks to himself, 'Sigh… I guess Rem really likes her machines, but I wonder how Cinder and Kagero group is dealing with at the Hungry-La Island?'

With that Kuro starts to begin a conversation with the automata's of Birkia about the functions of their city and the technology they have under them

Meanwhile Cinder and Kagero group have just started to get inside the Hungry-La island in order to investigate the area while guarding Nora and Neo.

When they reached the entrance of the island Cinder says to herself under her breath, "Alright time to search this island."
