Well Dressed

Jane walked downstairs to finally have her breakfast. She was wearing a blue jean flare skirt revealing her long skinny legs, and a blouse also revealing her beautiful fair skin shoulders and a pair of sneakers and a handbag to match with.

"Good morning dad" she said as she approached her dad sitting on the parlour chair kissing both of his cheeks with him responding to her.

"You woke up late today" he said.

"Arrrgh.." slapping her forehead with her hands and shaking her head looking at her father with a kind of a frustrating look. "Atleast you would have answered my 'good morning' dad than being just like grandma this morning." She said teasingly.

"Hahahaha, so you're saying that your grandma is annoying uhn..."

"Jeez dad, I never said that." She said looking around to see if someone was evesdropping. "But she can be sometimes," she said in a whisper teasingly tone covering the side of her mouth with her hand.

"Oh really," a voice said causing Jane to stand there frozen for a while and blinking her eyes a few times before coming back to reality. "I am now annoying uhn." Said grandma who was now at Jane's side dragging her ears softly.

"Ouch grandma. I never said that, your son did." She said pointing at her dad.

The man who was sipping his coffee and reading the newspapers could only pause for a while then stared at his mom and his daughter shockingly.

"What...what, when did I say that?" He said looking startled and scared. Scared of what his mom can actually do if it was him who said that.

"Hmm, so you're now saying your dad's voice have turned to that of a female right?" Grandma said teasingly still dragging her ears softly.

Laughter echoed in the room as both Jane and her dad laughed at what grandma just said.

"You're so funny granny." Said Jane who was now hugging her grandma.

After the short hug, her grandma stared at her for a while noticing how beautifully dressed she was.

"Finally going out on a date uhn." She said smiling.

"Jeez granny, I'm only going out to see a friend."

Jane has never had a boyfriend all her life and her grandma always prayed that she would bring a guy home or possibly go on a date with that special someone.

"Just kidding my dear. I know, it was just how well dressed you look today. It made me have a second thought if you're going out on a date." Her grandma said pinching her cheeks.

Jane knew how much her grandma wanted her to go out on a date and stop living a boring life and have some kind of an adventure. She also wanted that too for herself.

"I will one day grandma, just a matter of time and when I find the special someone." She said sadly

Her grandma could only smile at her.

"Okay my dear, I won't pressurize you. Just take your time okay." Said her grandma in a soft tone and smiling.

Both of them smiled at each other and she looked at her dad who was sitting down watching the both of them smiling.
