Chapter 16 - Troubled mind[Unedited]

At first it was out of curiosity that led to discovering her own future. She was baffled to find out her fate and everything behind the truth about everything. Erza realizes who she truly is and the reason for her friend betraying her so long ago.

It made her shed a tear from her real eyes as the other was made from an artificial created from magic. The story of those she cared about had such a tragic end and witnessed how much her friend had been manipulated.

Everyone had been manipulated by her friend Jellal who was manipulated by Ultear, the daughter of her fellow guildmate's teacher and current member of a dark guild called Grimoire Heart.

Additionally, she found her comrade background namely Natsu Dragneel, The Fire dragon slayer who had been dead and resurrected by her still living brother that happens to be Zeref, the so-called god from the place that started her tragic life and where they tried to resurrect him.

Erza learns that his foster father, Igneel, was actually dwelling inside him and had long been dead. He was nothing more than a lingering spirit watching over Natsu.

She soon recalls her rival who had a sister that supposedly died and was actually alive living in an alternate universe. Erza was shocked that a place existed and then thought about the chat group that spoke about the vast universe.

However, the most tragic thing she was able to learn was her mother, Irene Berselion, the Queen of Dragon. She was in rage after witnessing her past when Erza's father rejected that she was his child and called her mother who was his wife a monster.

On the other hand, Erza felt loved after  learning that her mother let her live despite losing her sanity from turning into a dragon. She wanted to go and confront her mother but the power to do so was out of her reach.

Her skills and power was already at an S class mage that only a select few were able to accomplish and yet It was nothing compared to the enemies that she would soon fight.

It would be a death wish if she were to rush and immediately try to confront her mother. Furthermore, based on the story she read it would be difficult to convince her mother knowing her mind was unstable and cruel.

"Hey guys don't you think Erza has been oddly quiet?"

Asked by a lean, muscular young man of average height with a slightly tan skin tone, black eyes, spiky pink-colored hair, and has abnormal sharp canines. The young man has a scar on the right side of his neck, hidden by his scarf. This young man was Natsu Dragneel, the Fire Dragon slayer, the son of Fire dragon king Igneel and Brother of dark mage, Zeref.

He was looking at his comrade who had been deep in her thoughts ever since she returned from yesterday. It was unusual for her as she would always eat Strawberry cheesecake on her days off.

Right now, Erza was lost in her thoughts pondering how she would reveal the secret to everyone without causing them to be reckless. If she were to tell Natsu the truth then he would be stupid and head straight to danger.

"Yeah, for once I agree with you pinky. Erza is a little off today."

Said by another young man with spiky black-colored hair. He has dark blue eyes, and his body is toned and muscular. The young man wore dark pants and white shirt. This young man was Gray Fullbuster, Son of Silver Fullbuster, the Ice Devil slayer.

He was a rival to Natsu due their opposing personality and elements but had agreed looking at their guildmates. Gray ponders what could trouble Erza who is known to be a strict headed woman that is able to remain untroubled by anything.

"Gray you're naked again."

Pointed out by a slim young woman of below average height. She has long, white hair which curls slightly at the ends, with two bangs framing her face and reaching down to her chest; her hairstyle's most distinctive trait is a short, upward ponytail obtained by gathering and tying the hair covering her forehead. She has large blue eyes and a curvy, voluptuous body, with large breasts.

This young man was Mirajane Straus who was Erza Rival and always bicker in their younger days until the loss of her little sister changed her outlook completely. Erza glanced at Mirajane having a pained expression but it was unnoticeable for a normal guildmate.

Unfortunately, Mirajane grew up with Erza and the obvious expression took her by surprise. She ponders what happens to her to be this troubled.

"Ah! The hell that happened!"

Gray exclaimed showing his habit of stripping naked causing Mirajane and the others to giggle and chuckle before her attention back to Erza.

"She seems troubled by something. worry not, I'll go ahead and talk to her."

Calmly said by an extremely short, elderly man. He has black eyes and is growing bald with only the outer rims of his head containing white hair. He also has a thick white mustache dressed in a casual manner, with an attire consisting of a white shirt with a black Fairy Tail stamp in the middle under an orange hoodie. His attire was completed with matching orange shorts and an orange and blue striped jester hat.

The man was the third guild master of the Fairy Tail guild, Makarov Dreyar. He was observing his children which he viewed every member of his guild.

Hearing this, Mirajane felt more calm knowing that their master knew them more than anyone else. They were all accepted by this old man when all had nowhere to go.

"Hope you help her, master. She seems out of today."

Mirajane said, receiving a nod from her master as he slowly approached Erza who hadn't even noticed him despite her skill webshow how much her mind is troubled from the revelation.

"Young lady, why don't you come to my office and speak your mind? It would be best to share your thoughts rather than let it be trapped for too long."

He said in a friendly manner, looking concerned for his child. Erza flinched for a moment thinking how she would be able to explain everything that she had learned but nodded.

She doesn't want her master to worry but Erza thought of a way to avoid the punishment. Erza's natural intuition is telling her there is a way around it.

"Alright, Master."

Makarov was relieved that she was willing to share her troubled thoughts before the two of them headed to his office to let her speak. The other guildmate witnesses this and ponders what could make Erza this shaken?

Once the two of them arrived at the office, Makarov sat in front of Erza and remained calm but still obviously anxious.

"Relax, young lady, it would be alright to just tell me a bit of what is troubling you. If you can't right now then I'll be waiting for you to be ready to tell me everything."

Makarov didn't want to force her to tell the truth and only show that she wasn't alone when it comes to trouble. Erza deeply thought before looking at her master.

"Thank you master but… it's alright I'll tell you everything."

She started to explain everything from the beginning, finding a loophole from the chat group as it only stated to be directly telling about the chat group.

Makarov had numerous emotions from sadness, anger and bewilderment that made him understand why Erza was so troubled. Normally, he would think it was outrageous what she was saying but Makarov knew Erza and wouldn't make up stories.

Once everything was done, Makarov was silent, deeply thinking about the things he found out and understood why she unable to share it with anyone.

"Tell me who was the one that told you this?"

"Someone who claimed to have the magic to foresee the future. I do not know who that person is but he showed me a possible future and at first I didn't believe it but the more I thought, the more troubling it got."

Makarov gave a large sighed burden of knowing the future yet unable to tell anyone else. He was now untangled with a large conspiracy.

"Erza, I'll handle everything and if what you said is true then the future is truly dire. The best thing you should do is focus on getting stronger but don't act rashly."

He knew Erza wouldn't do something that careless but still worried she would be tempted to do so. Makarov wouldn't want her getting hurt thinking it was her responsibility.

"I will, Master."
