Hot cake

"No you don't have to. I will pay myself." Amber insisted handing the chef her own credit card. The chef was confused about whose credit card to take.

"Take mine," Amber muttered.

"No, take mine." Xavier protested.

"I will take your boyfriend's card." The chef said and took Xavier's card.

"What! he is not my boyfriend." Amber protested.

"Let it go." He growled and took back his card from the chef.

"Why are you paying for her food?" Nate inquired, glaring at Xavier.

"I just feel like it is a bad thing." Xavier asked bluntly.

"It isn't but.." Nate couldn't complete his sentence when Xavier grasped Amber's hand and started leading her to an empty table.

"Go get your food," Amber stated, looking back at Nate, who was amazed and stood in front of the chef taking his food.

Amber and Xavier settled down on an empty table.

Amber started looking sideways.

"Who are you looking for?" Xavier inquired.

"Where is your friend? I haven't seen him with you lately." She mumbled.

"Oh he is not feeling well, so he is not in school." Xavier replied.

"Really, I didn't know. I hope he gets well soon." She muttered.

"He will, he is a fighter." Xavier beamed.

Amber looked down, avoiding his gaze, and grabbed her spoon. She opened her food and was about to dig in when she noticed that Xavier was staring at her.

"What?" She asked bluntly..

"Nothing, eat your food." He beamed and started eating his food at a great speed.

Nate walked over to them and dropped his food on the table, making a loud noise as he stared at Xavier.

"Eat slowly or you will choke on your food," Nate muttered.

Xavier stopped eating and cleaned his mouth with a handkerchief.

"I like eating while the food is hot," he replied.

"I see," Nate muttered, narrowing his eyes at him.

"Now that it is cold, I can't eat anymore," Xavier remarked, closing the remaining food.

"I always see you guys together. What is your relationship?" Xavier inquired.

"Who are you to ask such a question? I won't answer you," Nate stated, with his head held high.

"Chill, I know you guys are friends and nothing else. There can't be anything between you two. You are gay." Xavier snarled.

Nate hated it when someone called him gay in a rude way. He slammed his hand on the table.

"Mind your language. I know I am gay. You don't have to remind me," Nate stated, glaring at Xavier, who also glared back.

Amber looked around the cafeteria and realized that all the students were staring at them.

"Guys, keep it down, we are all here to eat," Amber stated.

"Just tell him to go since he has finished eating or keep his mouth closed." Nate snapped.

Xavier smirked.

"It seems you don't know who you are being rude to. Do you want me to remind you?" Xavier asked with an evil grin.

"No need," Amber muttered wrinkling her nose.
