New Reality

-Read my new book Nightmare Mythos!! As soon as I woke up, I was transferred to this weird place. It was so sudden that it made my mind couldn’t come up with any form of idea as this strange phenomenon was nothing I never heard or experienced, but I quickly gather my composure. Then, I realized, I was not the only one. To be honest, these are the things that I only read through novels and fantasy books but experiencing it myself wasn’t what I really wanted. Not even once. Reading was something I loved as it was fun. To others, it may be a time where they get out from harsh reality but that’s life, you face a lot of hardships. But strange. Why? Why am I here? No, why are we here? What’s our purpose for coming here? At least put a warning that I will get to go to another world! Just me is good! Questions formed which made me quite nervous but I calm myself down, as being nervous will be only a hinder to my thinking. I breathe. “First, let’s assume this is real.” After thinking so, I began to form a little plan inside my head. Preparing like a normal person would do when this kind of thing happens. I executed my plan in my head before waiting. As the timer was tickling down and thought that after its number’s hits zero, all of us are going back to our daily lives. [0:00] But it didn’t happen. After I saw what happened to that man with his head being sliced, the simple plan I had was crushed in an instant. Yet, that one act was enough for me to realize one simple thing. The thing is… it was a bitter pill to swallow. “This is real…” I was only assuming that it is but…it's just unfair. “There’s no going back…” … It doesn’t matter if you go back in time… It doesn’t matter if you’re a genius or an outstanding fighter… It doesn’t matter what challenges I will encounter… I will succeed, find answers to everything, and survive… Until everything ends. *** : Cover not mine. Just edited small things on it. If you're the owner, just tell me if you wanted it removed. : Keeping the story's setting simple as this is my first book. : So yeah, everyone who had read the novel regressor instruction manual would notice the large similarity in the first few chapters of mine and it is because I'm a fan of that novel, but I would tell it now as I think it should be known to you guys. Informing should be the right thing to do. : Although I have a cliche setting, I'll at least try something original. : Hey, if you're reading this, try to read now! Maybe some of you love a mind-blowing chapter one but I don't have that in my novel, instead, I'll make it good for the future chapters I will be making. Anyway, thank you for taking your time, and go read it!

Crazy Believer

"Let's hear it," Nancy answered as she fixes her attire, waiting for Gin to continue.

"Then,.." Gin closes the notebook he had placed on the side before continuing, "Did it also mention why we're transferred in this world? I didn't hear it from your discussion which leads to the second one."

Gin paused, "Do you think that's true? Do you think we have something to protect here...? That... we're going to save the world...?"

"..."

Hearing his voice that sounded heavy for some reason, Nancy felt there was some meaning to it but she quickly removed the idea from her head as she looked at Gin with a warm gaze.

She relaxed and answered, "No, I don't think so. If that's the case, that would already happen years ago with someone being a hero but it was still the same. Every living creature still continues the thing they had been doing. Growing their powers each time."

'Even Nancy seems not to believe it, huh.' Gin mused inwardly before he questioned another, "From what I heard about your lessons, the one who came here sounds like the system to the people. It felt like the two are connected but does it look like that to you too, Nancy?"

"..."

At the moment he said those words, Gin saw slight movements coming from Nancy. It was only faint, he clearly saw it as he was keeping his attention at Nancy,

'Uhm, why is she showing signs of... something when I talk about that being?' Gin thought inwardly before hearing Nancy answering.

"Oh, that discussion when the system comes and a being gets down?" Nancy spoke as she quivered, before continuing, "I don't know what they're talking about but if that's the case, do you believe that child?"

She continued with a smile. "Because I don't."

Seeing the smile which is entirely different from before, Gin frowned but he managed to retort, "Did I hear that right, Nancy?"

Instead of answering, Nancy's lip grew bigger and the shivering she faintly showed, started to become more visible.

He felt like Nancy is at a climax for some reason... Not in a weird way.

Nancy then answered. "You heard me very clearly, Gin. It's not like the b-being is powerful that that entity will be the system."

'Wait. did I just hear her stutter? She is... right?' Gin couldn't help but question, with the room being silent.

"..."

"..."

But at that moment of silence, the room become more ominous and it was a scary feeling.

Gin didn't know why but his heart started to pound once again even though there was no reason to be it that way.

"Hey, child."

Being called at, Gin moved his attention on Nancy's face and watched her smile.

It looked scary!

Gin gulped a mouthful of saliva before he could answer, "W-what is it, Nancy?."

Still smiling in a weird way, Nancy answered, "Do you know that this being is hated by the higher beings."

Flinching, Gin wore a shocked expression upon hearing it but he didn't manage to speak, as Nancy continued.

"Hehe. Hey child, I have another thing. I forgot to teach this in class. You know—Oh..."

Nancy stopped speaking as she looked at the air weirdly, but Gin didn't heed those things as he felt scared each second passed.

'Uh… what's happening? The situation looks... weird. Care to tell me what's happening...? Hey...'

"Hahaha. Look, some telling me to shut my mouth." Nancy spoke as she let out a laugh, "Hah… I think I will hurt their pride if I said this to you. The strange thing is, some are listening inside this room."

Gin felt getting weirded out by her more as she keep speaking, thinking inwardly, 'It is just me or Nancy is not on herself...? Ah yes, who cares? Let's just do what a normal person should do.'

Sensing everything is becoming more out of the place, Gin decided to do the easiest and safest thing.

Leaving.

Gin swiftly arranges his notebook while also bringing the pen, before he stands up and quickly leaves the room.

But as soon as he started to walk, he heard a voice from his back that sent shivers down to his spine.

"Where are you going?" Nancy spoke with an impassive tone.

Hearing that deadly voice, sweats started to form on Gin's forehead before turning around and saw Nancy glaring at him.

"Haha..." Gin let out a jokingly laugh. "I saw a restroom outside. I'm just going... there."

Instead of answering, Nancy stayed quiet and looked at Gin intently which made him scared as hell. He was waiting for her to do something but she only raised her right hand up, pointing her finger at him.

Gin froze as he silently observe Nancy's actions. It was then she moved her index finger at the side, at the same time, he was also moving in the same way.

Swoosh!

She moved her index finger down with Gin also being controlled y it as he was forcefully controlled to sit down.

'Shit Nancy! I thought you were a decent woman! What's the meaning of this!' Gin mused inwardly as his impression of Nancy being a goddess instantly vanished.

"Sit down, Gin. I'm not finished. Don't worry, I will say the last lesson for the day." Nancy spoke with the same smile on her face.

'I know this feeling...' Gin thought as he concluded, 'Soul? Nancy is using soul? Is she not afraid to show it? I thought it is a rare thing...'

"Listen to me, Gin because this is really important," Nancy called as she saw that Gin was being interrupted by something before she continued, "For a moment, you can't escape that."

Gin wasn't listening to her talk as he struggled himself to escape, but what Nancy said was true. He is stuck in his seat and can't even properly breathe because of the pressure that Nancy is currently excluding.

"You know, when I was reading it, I really felt alive. It was exhilarating!" Nancy spoke with excitement as she exclude more pressure.

She paused, "Did you know? It said that every higher challenged that entity."

'Hahh… Hahh… Stop…I can't breathe. Shit...!'

Nancy smiled even more as her quivering intensified, before she continued, "The god I keep worshipping, my supreme being, my god that I have full faith with."

"It defeated them all." Nancy spoke with a heavy face as she touched her red cheek, "That was just... amazing!"

Rumble!

Weirdly enough, after saying those words, roars of thunder were heard outside even though it was sunny, just by looking through the window of the classroom.

"Hahahaha... the higher beings listening felt angry! How sad, I love mocking them the most." Nancy said before moving her head towards Gin, "Oh, sorry Gin. I'm not angry at you or anything."

With just a flick of a finger, the pressure she keep excluding felt like it wasn't there just a second ago as it was instantly gone.

"Cough, I-it's okay i-instructor. Cough." Gin answered while his thoughts were entirely different, 'Shit... this is not ok at all! I will never come back to this classroom.'

Seeing how wet Gin's clothing is, Nancy became worried and speak, "I'm sorry. Wait just a second."

Nancy turned around and moved her hand, getting something in the desk of her drawer but Gin knew for sure that it is the same thing that made him sit again.

[Truth Eyes-See Through-has been activated]

Without wasting any more time, Gin activated his eyes to see her status window, regretting it after as he clearly knew that he really can't exit now.

'That's... shit! Just who did I make contact with this time?!' Gin shouted inwardly before he saw that Nancy had finally gotten something out.

It was a bottle of water but he didn't touch it as it just flew.

'Psychokinesis, huh. That's something good. And her disposition... imperishable faith? Just who is she worshipping then?' Gin questioned inwardly before the water landed on his desk.

"Here student, Gin. I hope you're not mad about me. I just disliked those who think they're all strong when it even isn't." Nancy spoke, scoffing at the air.

"N-no problem, instructor..." Gin retorted before saying, "I'm okay now so can you let me leave now?"

Nancy smiled "Sure, you can leave and even rest, student."

Gin's face had brightened up hearing it as he mused, 'I see... looks like my luck is still on my—'

"You don't know what time is it now right? The history class is now done. I'm also going to rest as there are many things to teach you tomorrow." Nancy spoke with a clap.

It only made Gin be gloomy before he asked nervously, "N-not forever done?"

"Not forever done?" Nancy asked as he form a frown, before smiling, "Of course not! This is only a start! My teaching senses are getting back so I'm going to teach you to the best of my abilities. Who knows, maybe you'll need it."

'No, I don't need anything from you... Let me out of here...' Gin retorts back inwardly, not wanting to let it out.

"Excuse me…" Gin excused himself as he packed everything he needed, and just wanted to get himself out of the room.

[Truth Eyes-Nullify-has been activated]

While walking out, Gin felt he needed to activate his eyes as for some reason, he had a presumption that Nancy will do the same thing.

And, he was right as Nancy keep moving her hands while using her attribute, but she can't seem to move him now.

At that moment, Nancy smiled.

She tried it again but the same result was seen, which only makes her smile wider before she shouted, "Gin Frest!"

Gin stops and answered back. "What, instructor?"

"You have an interesting attribute, kid," Nancy spoke as she saw Gin flinching at her statement.

She didn't miss it before she continued, "I saw you earlier, kid. Well, I think only Hans and me are the ones who saw it though."

"..."

Nancy slowly walked as she continued, "You look like a mysterious guy for some reason and... I am interested."

"..."

Gin puts his notebook down at the nearest desk as he glanced half of his face at Nancy.

Feeling that she was being misunderstood, Nancy waved her hands dismissively before saying, "Oh no, no, no. I didn't mean it like that. Hey, stop being on guard."

Gin didn't follow a bit of her talk as he remained his guard up yet for some reason, he felt that she was telling the truth.

"I see that your mask is not to hide your face." Nancy said as she stopped, "I can feel that it is your eyes that you're hiding."

Gin remain calm as she turned around to look at Nancy's face. Only a few distances are left before they could look at each other's faces.

"I saw you stopping Linda's attribute and was quite surprised about it because you and that blonde guy are the only ones left sitting straight." Nancy paused, "Then a second later, you also bow your head down. That quite funny, really."

Not liking the interrogation he is getting, Gin answered sternly, "You must've mistaken me for someone, instructor. They're many out there wearing masks, the same as I did hence you must've assumed that it is me you have seen."

Nash sneered, "I'm not mistaken, Gin. Nobody is the same as your mask. It is plain yet feels eerie at the same time. Hmm, joker's mask huh, that's a nice name."

Not wanting to hear more, Gin turned around and sprint towards the door to exit the classroom.

Seeing him running, Nancy used her attribute to stop Gin but seeing it didn't work, she slammed the door shut before using the desk to cover the exit, cramping them all at the door.

Seeing it happening so fast with nowhere to escape, Gin turned his body around and looked for Nancy as he readied himself to fight if it would happen.

"Interesting indeed. I think… yeah, I think you're the first one to stop me from using this. And those eyes are beautiful." Nancy commented with a smile.

"You…" Gin paused as he asked with a doubt, "Are you part of that group?"

Although he can't see the title like Seven and Six, Gin still asked anyway. Who knows what kind of person Nancy is that even her status window couldn't even show.

'Maybe she is a spy from them.' Gin mused inwardly as he concentrate on Nancy and would swiftly move if she showed a slight trace of attacking.

"Hmm? Group? What are you…?" Nancy questioned as she formed a frown for a moment before opening her eyes slightly, "Them? Ah, I see. Now, it knew it was you! The archer who helped Colton! Hahaha, what a surprise."

Watching her carefree voice, Gin slightly let his guard down but a question instantly formed on his mind making him form a grown, 'Huh? That guy betrayed me? I thought he's a tight-lipped person...'

Gin has his opinion on Colton decreased, as he thought those things he showed at the tutorial were a lie. He felt like that guy would tell his secret any time soon.

Seeing his movements, Nancy reassured, "Don't worry. I knew Colton. He and his group trust me. I know those guys really well."

The sincerity on Nancy's word made Gin calm down as he can't help but asked inwardly, 'Just why did I work myself up there? Damn, is this the charm of a strong person?'

Gin deactivated his eyes and the same was said on Nancy. The two calmed themselves first before one person decided to speak.

"I was looking at you at that place because your mask is interesting..." Nancy said with honesty in her voice, "And now it turned out you're the archer that Colton mentioned, it's a good day."

Nancy fixed her crumpled clothes before coming back to her usual mature aura, "And, thank you for helping Colton there."

'Pheww... looks like she's not related to them after all. If it is, that would be really bad.' Gin mused inwardly before waving his hand at her, "It's not worth mentioning about. Anyway, can I leave now?"

Gin fixes his clothes with Nancy watching him doing it, before saying, "You don't want to ask questions? I can answer them you know."

Gin looked up and said with a questioning tone, "What's the point of this? Or, is there some reason behind it?"

Nancy holds her chin for a moment as she began to think for a minute before saying, "Because you're an interesting child? It started from the stage, really. Then, who would have thought that you came here yourself? Well, it's not bad to test you but I get remarkable results from it."

She paused and does an ok sign on her hand. "So, it's all good."

'Eh? That's your reason for doing this?' Gin mused inwardly as he can't help but let out a sigh.

It sounded both happy and disbelief but if Nancy is willing to answer some questions, Gin didn't want to let this chance go.

Gin then finds a place where he can sit down and goes there. He didn't know what happen to his notebook but he didn't mind it now as he wanted to ask something about Nancy.

He sits down and looked at Nancy intently before saying with a stern voice, "What do you know about the group?"
