New Reality

-Read my new book Nightmare Mythos!! As soon as I woke up, I was transferred to this weird place. It was so sudden that it made my mind couldn’t come up with any form of idea as this strange phenomenon was nothing I never heard or experienced, but I quickly gather my composure. Then, I realized, I was not the only one. To be honest, these are the things that I only read through novels and fantasy books but experiencing it myself wasn’t what I really wanted. Not even once. Reading was something I loved as it was fun. To others, it may be a time where they get out from harsh reality but that’s life, you face a lot of hardships. But strange. Why? Why am I here? No, why are we here? What’s our purpose for coming here? At least put a warning that I will get to go to another world! Just me is good! Questions formed which made me quite nervous but I calm myself down, as being nervous will be only a hinder to my thinking. I breathe. “First, let’s assume this is real.” After thinking so, I began to form a little plan inside my head. Preparing like a normal person would do when this kind of thing happens. I executed my plan in my head before waiting. As the timer was tickling down and thought that after its number’s hits zero, all of us are going back to our daily lives. [0:00] But it didn’t happen. After I saw what happened to that man with his head being sliced, the simple plan I had was crushed in an instant. Yet, that one act was enough for me to realize one simple thing. The thing is… it was a bitter pill to swallow. “This is real…” I was only assuming that it is but…it's just unfair. “There’s no going back…” … It doesn’t matter if you go back in time… It doesn’t matter if you’re a genius or an outstanding fighter… It doesn’t matter what challenges I will encounter… I will succeed, find answers to everything, and survive… Until everything ends. *** : Cover not mine. Just edited small things on it. If you're the owner, just tell me if you wanted it removed. : Keeping the story's setting simple as this is my first book. : So yeah, everyone who had read the novel regressor instruction manual would notice the large similarity in the first few chapters of mine and it is because I'm a fan of that novel, but I would tell it now as I think it should be known to you guys. Informing should be the right thing to do. : Although I have a cliche setting, I'll at least try something original. : Hey, if you're reading this, try to read now! Maybe some of you love a mind-blowing chapter one but I don't have that in my novel, instead, I'll make it good for the future chapters I will be making. Anyway, thank you for taking your time, and go read it!

Disobey

"What do you know about the group?" Gin asked.

Nancy waved her hand on the side, controlling one chair to be placed near her. Flicking her fingers, the chair was placed near Gin before she sits down on it.

With crossed legs, Nancy holds her chin before speaking, "I have a contract with Colton to not talk about it but I can tell you something."

Gin silently nods before he urged her to continue.

Nancy nods back before saying, "They're dangerous, kid. They seem to know us well like they have been watching us and our moments. Well, when I'm talking to Colton, I noticed the similarities between that event and this incident."

"..."

"They're all wearing black and they're all talking to themselves in numbers. Probably to hide their real names. And this group... they seem to be doing something we don't know."

She paused, "I think that's all I can say."

'That's all? Seems that Colton is strict about this.' Gin thought inwardly before he leans himself in the chair, 'The two things are true but the third is unknown. Ah shit, why would they make the group in the first place?'

'Everything has a reason, this will never change in my mind,' Gin added before continuing, 'If this is all Nancy could provide, she doesn't know the name of those guys? Wait, does she even know the name of the group...?'

Sighing, Gin arranged his thoughts and words that he was about to ask.

Only a few seconds passed until Gin stopped his thinking as he speak, "Just stay silent if the contract is restraining you from talking."

Gin only received a silent nod from Nancy but it was enough.

"So, do you know the name of the group?"

"We don't know but we're trying to know. We're currently finding the group under them though. When we asked them to confess, they shut their mouths and were just afraid to even speak a word."

'Probably they're contracted...' Gin mused as he questioned another, "Then, does this finding the group under them is continuing?"

Nancy nods, "Yes, the operation is underway but you need to keep quiet about this. Only me, my trusted guild members, Colton and his guild, and Colton's group or squad. Those people are the only ones who knew about this. Why? That's... you know."

Gin understood what it is before asking, "When you said that the operation is underway, you must've known how many groups are under them, right? Any numerical values are good."

Nancy smiled bitterly before answering, "We don't know yet, Gin. They're so many groups out there that belong to them. And, we're just at the start of the findings."

Gin rubs the mask on his forehead, hearing an answer which isn't one. He nodded and asked another, "Then, can you tell me what number you know?

"…"

This time, he only receives a silent gaze from Nancy. It was so serious that he swiftly moved to the other question and asked.

"What is this event you just said? Can you tell it to me?"

"…"

The same as earlier, she was silent however it was much different from before as she showed a slight change on her face. Gin doesn't want to pry too much and decided to stop asking.

'Hmm... this event must be something that shouldn't be touched lightly. Well, I also don't have time to know what it is as my time is already cramped,' Gin mused inwardly and decided to end his questions today.

"Thank you for answering but... how do I repay you for this?"

"You don't need to, Gin. I've only done this because... hmm," Nancy, who was waving her hand to decline Gin's request, stop before she continued, "Actually, you can repay me by just answering this question."

"As long as it is not hard. I'll answer it."

Nancy faintly smile, "Then, do you help Colton because you just want to or because you thought that the group will be in danger if you didn't do it? You should know who the group I'm talking about, right?"

'Well, I just can't leave them there and they're too important.' Gin said inwardly before he started to explain to Nancy about the talk he had with Colton on separating him and the group.

"I should start..."

Time quickly passed, Gin was finally done explaining.

Nancy was smiling all the time as she heard his explanation before saying excitedly, "You're getting more interesting, Gin. How about you join my guild? I can give you the best conditions you could ever wish for."

Having an opportunity shown in his front, Gin was tempted but he needed to decline and shake his head as an answer.

"This group is made by Nash," Gin calmly spoke, "Without him, this group probably wouldn't be made in the first place. Don't worry, he didn't suggest signing us on some contract. And whatever guild he chooses, we will choose it too."

Gin gives strong words from his mouth that would make someone give up just by hearing it. Most of the people would but Nancy wasn't part of those people.

"I see… so I will only convince Nash then," Nancy said while nodding her head as she seems to understand what her goal is.

And for a moment, Gin was left stupefied.

'Eh? No, I said that for you to give up picking em and the others as Nash already had one in his mind.' Gin mused inwardly as he formed a slight frown, 'Besides, I don't want a crazy believer like you to lead us. Who knows what were you thinking inside your head.'

"Ah, look! The sun is setting."

It was then that his thoughts were interrupted when he heard a voice of astonishment from Nancy's mouth.

Gin moved his head at the window and looked past through it. They saw the sun was setting down, saying its goodbye to everyone.

"We were so absorbed in everything today that we didn't notice the time already," Nancy spoke as she looked at the window.

Gin nodded, "Mhm... It's a nice view."

"Isn't it? Come on now. You should leave here." Nancy said as she moved her hands onto the chairs and desk, taking them back to their proper position.

Gin didn't answer and just help Nancy to arrange the mess she made. After they clean the room that took minutes, the two swiftly pack their things up and ready themselves to leave.

Gin didn't waste more time as he hastily move his legs, but he instantly slowed down when he felt a soft arm laced on his neck which delayed his walking.

When Gin was now done, he doesn't waste time and walked outside in a hurried manner, until he felt soft arms placed on his neck that delayed his walking.

"Can you please remove your arm?" Gin asked sternly.

"What?" Nancy teased. "You don't get this treatment every day. Besides, I'm still beautiful even though I'm in my thirties. Hmm... I don't smell right."

'No, you smell nice. As if I'd tell you that,' Gin mused inwardly, 'Hey, old woman. Get your arm away from my neck!'

Seeing that Nancy didn't have any intention of letting go, Gin let out a sigh from his mouth with a slender arm placed on his neck.

He tried to resist it but he could hear his heart pounding, which Nancy felt as she saw his ear was a bit red right now.

"Hey, Can I see your face? You can do anything to my body as a reward." Nancy offered.

"No."

"I can tell you know that I have a nice body. Even some men are not getting this chance and I think it's a waste for you."

"As if you'd do that. Anyway, remove your arm please."

"Haha, your right. Then, I'll just cuddle with you. But still, don't worry. Even if your face is ugly, I'm not going to criticize you. The offer is also still up. Nothing changes."

'Ugh, this woman.' Gin complained inwardly as he was not that kind of pervert, 'Looks like I've been misunderstood by this woman earlier. It probably must be when I was looking at her.'

Just as the two were getting out of the classroom, they heard the voice of someone calling Gin which made them stop.

"Huh? Isn't that, Hyung?"

Gin froze on his tracks while letting out a slight flinch. He turned around upon hearing a familiar voice calling him before he wore a disbelief expression on his face, seeing a group of people in his sight.

"Hey, Nash. Just this once. Let's go to Gin's room tonight." Jasmin begged.

The people present inside Nash's room moved their head at Jasmin, seeing her begging but he stayed unwavering throughout the time.

As he clean his sword, Nash looked at the group one by one and saw them being reluctant about the idea but they still nodded their head.

Seeing them having those expressions on their faces, Nash let out a sigh from his mouth as he mused inwardly, 'Gin's going to be pissed about this.'

"Ok, just this once." Nash said as he bring his sword down, "But remember, stay alert and not show yourself to anyone. If by chance they saw us talking to Gin like it is normal, it will lead to suspicions."

Nash paused, "I think Gin doesn't want that."

The moment they heard his words made their face brightened. All of them prepared themselves and were supposed to meet in his room.

Unfortunately, it didn't happen.

"H-huh? The rookies are here? What a surprise." Gin stuttered as he became alert about his surroundings, "And big guy, don't call me like that here. What if someone heard you? They will have weird ideas about us, right?"

Gin slightly peeked at every classroom's door to see if somebody would get out from it, people listening, or even watching them from the dark. He keeps his alertness high as possible.

'Shit... what are these guys doing? They clearly knew what the plan is, right? They're all ruining it.' Gin complained while clicking his tongue.

On the other hand, Nancy seems to be enjoying the situation. She saw the two girls looking intently at her arms, placed in Gin's neck.

Kisha tried to hide her suspicious look but failed, while Jasmin didn't dare to hide it and showed her glaring expression.

"It's nice to see the rookies in one place and, did I hear that right? That big guy just called this man on my side his 'Hyung'?" Nancy spoke calmly while forming a faint smirk, "Seems suspicious."

Hearing those words from Nancy made the group freeze at the spot. Even Nash's expressionless face showed slight worry.

'Why does this woman know, Gin? Looking at her gaze, she seems to want to know our relationship between us? Shit... I'm sorry.' Nash mused while remaining silent.

The other also took a glance at Nancy but also couldn't say anything. If they tried to make excuses, they knew Nancy would be more suspicious.

At the moment, the decision they had made started to take over them slowly.

Regret.

They were regretting not following Gin's order which lead them to this situation. All they could do was to remain their mouth shut, not wanting to add more problems to him.

"Cut it down, Nancy." Gin calmly spoke as he let out a sigh from his mouth.

He felt that Nancy was enjoying the situation and it did, as he saw her holding her laugh off but he decided to stop this nonsense.

Glancing in her direction, Gin continued, "Did you feel anyone near us? If someone did... looks like I'll just invite these guys for a... cup of tea."

The group slightly bend their head, hearing how serious Gin's voice is and didn't even dare to look at his eyes. Who knows what kind of face he was currently making.

"I can feel no one, Gin. Tsk, you kids. Afraid of expression this guy's plan?" Nancy paused, "I wouldn't do that."

The moment they heard it, the word lie entered their minds. But it soon go away when they raised their head and gaze at Nancy's carefree attitude. They were in relief.

They move their head in Gin's direction if he also felt the same way, but they swiftly avoided his gaze when he was looking at them

Although their eyes didn't meet, they could feel that he was pissed about this.

"We will have to talk about this. Thank goodness that it is still the first day," Gin spoke while letting out another sigh.

He moved his gaze at Nancy before he continued, "And, can you please remove your arm now? They will get the wrong idea, you know."

Nancy turned serious as she heard Gin's voice, which made her move her gaze at his. Yet, as soon as she did it, a smile formed on her face which made him scared.

"W-what do you mean by that babe?" Nancy acted confused while having the tip of her lips curl upwards, "Why would you say this! A-after what we did in the room… It felt fantastic..."

She acted like she was betrayed as she said those words while having a face of a victim.

Of course, Gin was shocked.

'Oy, oy, what do you mean 'after we did'? Don't make it sound weird. This is not some kind of AV. Sigh, Nancy...' Gin mused inwardly as he faintly shake his head.

Also shocked by the events unfolding, they saw two or just Nancy being lovey-dovey at Gin. They saw how Nancy was acting like they were a couple even though it was only the first day.

"You shouldn't get weird ideas. She is only acting," Gin clarified, "Oy Nancy, tell them that it's all an act."

Nancy tilt her head cutely on the side while she sed her finger to touch Gin's mask, "What act babe? You should tell them. Well, introduce me first."

Jasmin started to show her glare more while Kisha was still ok, but slowly breaking down. Weird thoughts started to enter her mind.

What's more surprising is the way Nash looking at them. He felt anxious for some reason.

"..."

Finally has enough of it, Gin forcibly removed Nancy's arm before whispering something to her ear.

Each time Gin spoke made Nancy giggled while her smile started to show, which made the group even more baffled.

It only took seconds before Gin moves away while giving her a nod.

Nancy nodded back with a smile before answering, "Sure ba- student Gin. I'll stop now. Yeah, nothing happened. Do we do it in the classroom? Nah, I'm still a teacher you know. I still have a limit, kids."

"..."

It was then Nancy leap towards Gin before kissing the forehead of his mask.

"You…"

Gin started to glare at Nancy, who quickly removed her lip and move back, afraid of him catching her.

"Then we part our ways here, student Gin. See you tomorrow at class. If you don't—"

"Ok Ok. I'll come. geez." Gin quickly interjects as he waved his hands at her, not wanting another nonsense to bloom.

"Tomorrow babe." Nancy smiled as she waved Gin a goodbye sign.

"..."

Gin didn't answer as he was focused on glaring at the group while walking towards them. On the other hand, as the group felt and saw the way the two speaks, they deduce that something happened.

"Unc—"

Before Jasmin could even ask about it, Gin looked at her eyes first before doing the same thing to the group. He gives him his pissed aura by eyeing them one by one.

"Let's go."

At the cue, Gin turned around and started to walk.

"..."

The group also followed him but no conversation was heard from them. They were dead silent. All they could do was that as they didn't want Gin's annoyance for them to go higher.

After a few minutes of walking, they entered his room.
