In a long windowless hallway, Gin is walking leisurely with his hands in his pocket as he remembered the situation that had happened a while ago, before thinking about his plan for the future.
'When a bow breaks, an archer would be defenseless and most likely give up, resulting in them to stand on their position like an idiot.' Gin mused inwardly, 'But since I already saw this flaw, I wouldn't let it happen to me.'
Gin paused, 'I should find a solution to this problem.'
Still walking, Gin saw that people are not present whether it is newbies or instructors. He smiled faintly as he decided to look at every sign he passed by.
\Spear Class\ \Dagger Class\ \Magic Class\ \Shield Class\ \Healer Class\ \Strategy Class…\
Gin could see many classes with different jobs, but he knew that the classes weren't suited for him in the meantime.
'Hmm, I should enter these classes for a moment. I don't know what the sky element is but I need a class where my iron would be useful and that could use used to its fullest. The other problems would be solved later.'
Even though he couldn't see something for him now, Gin knew that there will be a solution to his new problem.
But as he continued, the classes Gin saw were not interesting enough. The feeling of giving up slowly enters his body until he stopped when he saw one class and its sign.
It's just that… it doesn't really connect to solve his problems right now.
\History Class\
Seeing the class sign, Gin looked at it with an anxious expression. He loves history books before and now being transferred to a new world, his thirst for knowledge increased.
Even the vibe of the door which is currently open was like welcoming the people to come in.
'N-no, Gin. I need to focus on my problem right now and the problem right now is...' Gin stopped as he was being resistant to enter inside, looks at the opposite side of the class, 'Hmm...?'.
\Hand to Hand Combat Class\
Gin was silent for a moment, realizing that his bad luck was helping him with the laugh that he keeps containing, bursts out.
"Hahahaha!" Gin loudly laughs as he thumps his hands at the wall, "What a great day. What a really great day."
Seeing the problem solver in his front, Gin decided to enter the history class first as he wanted to know a bit of the world and hopes that the teacher inside is a good one.
Gin slowly walks inside as he roams his eyes around the classroom.
Notebooks and pens are placed for the people to take notes and even a huge blackboard at the front. The thing is, there are no students present inside which makes it far to call it a real classroom.
'Eh?'
As he thought that no one is present, Gin saw one person at the front, sitting on her chair. Her one hand was holding the book while the other was used to turn the pages over.
Seeing who the person is, Gin is quite happy and knew that the person will be teaching the class that he was in.
Gin slowly moved towards the front seats, afraid of disturbing the woman before he sits down.
He looked at the woman before getting her respectfully, "Good morning, Nancy."
Hearing her name being called, the instructor named Nancy lifts her head up and could see Gin sitting at one seat in the front rows.
Nancy saw he had a smiling mask on his face with a physique that is average. She looked at him with uninterested eyes before saying, "If you do something bad, you can hide here and will not tell anyone that you are here."
Gin quickly shakes his head, feeling that he was being misunderstood before saying, "It's not like that, Nancy. I just wanted to learn history. That's all."
At the moment he said it, Gin noticed that Nancy was a beauty up close!
Her white glossy hair is bunned up in a messy way but it made her even more attractive. Her red lips and greenish eyes also added to her charm. Although her closed were covering her body, her curves and proportions were still clearly outlined in the dress she currently wore.
In other words, it felt like a goddess has descended.
Gin wasn't sure why she didn't see her like that earlier either it was because he was focused on who sees his eyes activated or similar to that, but who cares!
Gin felt like his worries were instantly cleansed.
With still the same expression, Nancy looked at Gin before asking, "How old are you?"
"Uh...24?"
"Do you know me?"
Gin was stupefied for a moment before saying, "What… do you mean by that?"
"No, nothing." Nancy quickly disregard her question as she brings her book down, before she continued, "Why this class?"
"I already said the reason earlier."
"..."
Nancy smiled hearing the answer she heard before saying, "I see…"
Gin froze like a statue upon seeing her smile, entrance by her goddess appearance.
'Phew... thank god I'm wearing a mask. If not, I'll be looking at Nancy with my face beet red.' Gin mused inwardly as he knew it was the case.
His heart was pounding and felt his face burning. He need to cool down as he knew it wouldn't do good to lust a good teacher. For a moment, he thought it was good...
"Well then, child," Nancy said while slowly standing up. "What can I call you?"
Although Gin was now clearly seeing her whole figure, he calmed down and answered, "Gin Frest. Just Gin is fine."
Hearing his name, Nancy walk towards the board before she turned around, introduce herself with a faint smile, "Hello student, Gin. My name is Nancy Stella, the one that will be teaching you this class. I hope my lesson will not bore you."
"..."
Gin slowly numb himself at the smile his heart continued to pound hard once more, before he mused, 'Focus Gin. Know your priorities. We're here to learn.'
Having that thought inwardly, Gin let out a heavy breath from his mouth before focusing his senses on the topic that Nancy would be teaching.
Seeing him focusing, Nancy convinced herself that he was serious before saying, "Let's not beat around the bush. I'll teach you the world Eflou right away."
Nancy let out a fake cough, "I don't know what time it is but did you know that those world doesn't have the system? The book said that the system just comes in but before that, it was hell. Chaos is everywhere."
She paused, "In other words, the whole world is in pandemonium."
Nancy took a breath for a moment and saw Gin taking down notes, before she continued, "Creatures are born. There are said to be dragons but it was ages ago to prove that it was true. Anyway, aside from those mystical creatures, elves, centaurs, dwarves, and many more races are in this world. It is like we're on a fantasy book. And—"
Gin continued to write down the words that were coming from Nancy's mouth but there was something amiss in the way she discussed things.
He wasn't sure about it but he decided to do it by raising his hand up.
"From the Holy Em— Oh. What is it, Gin?" Nancy asked as she stopped midway, seeing Gin's hand raised up.
Gin brings his pen down and speaks, "From what basis are you getting this information, Nancy? Does the system give you a book and made you guys study it?"
Hearing the seriousness in Gin's voice, Nancy answered with a small laugh, "Haha. I thought you were joking about that but I can see that you're serious about this."
She paused, "For your question. No, the system didn't give anything to us. It is the human in this world that made the research, passing it down for many and many years until coming into this place. They write what they saw and they shared it with others. But, that doesn't mean the system didn't do anything."
"It's not bad of course," Nancy clarified as she took a breather, "The system even rewarded them for doing it. Dropped rewards, treasure chests, and many more. Now, let me tell you this. I think in those researches, some tried to study it. They asked questions yet they receive no response."
She smiled, "But, everyone knows that it is watching us."
She continued. "You can say it's rather secretive. A mystery. Nobody knows what it's thinking."
Listening to Nancy talking about the topic, Gin agreed, 'I concur. I tried to understand it myself but I don't know too.'
"Well, let's back to our topic earlier." Nancy spoke as she clapped her hand, "The world is in chaos, isn't it? It's like a law of the jungle. Killed or be killed. That's what happens in ancient times. In that book, the dragons are at the top of the food chains but now? They disappeared, as I said earlier."
"But suddenly..." Nancy paused. "Everything stops."
She mimicked her mouth like a bubble popping out before saying, "Like a bubble popping out."
'What?' Gin questioned inwardly but he remained silent as he let Nancy continue.
"The context of the book also said that they're also surprised, even me." Nancy spoke with all honesty, "When I was reading it for the first time, it also felt absurd and unreal but then, I continued reading."
She paused. "And then this is where the system comes."
She continued, "We all know that it is omnipotent. It descended to this world and stop the chaos around the world. At the same time, the screen we keep seeing is also there. And, as if everyone has acquired like that but it was entirely different from us outsiders."
For some reason, Gin couldn't continue writing as he felt just listening to Nancy's discussion.
"That being stopped the chaos! The context of the book said that if fought everyone who opposed it and that being showed different kinds of things, you know!"
'Hmm...?' Gin hummed inwardly, noticing Nancy let out excited emotion from her discussion, 'She changes there, right?'
His thought was only interjected when Nancy continued, "After that being fought and defeated everyone, it forces some higher races to sign a contract. it didn't mention who the being signed with whom but I think it was probably dragons. Oh, anyway, the contract I'm talking about is the system— "
Nancy explained the contract which Gin knew until she is finished and swiftly got back to the topic.
"The contract was unknown. It mentioned that it couldn't be found or it wasn't known, hence they gave up finding it."
"Then, peace comes, humans had been freed in that time. The smart people started to grow communities, that turned into free cities, that turned into a kingdom."
She paused, "The people are happy about it and this is where they knew that the system is there."
Gin has a lot of questions inside his head but he remained silent and waited for the time to come.
Nancy continued, "The system rewarded them from it but it became poison to some people, resulting in them being greedy. Others also started to build civilizations, their own kingdoms, and many more. And rewards are keep coming."
Nancy took a moment of relaxation before continuing her discussion that seems about to end, "Three towards came or the tutorial showed up, away from the kingdoms. It mentioned that the kings of each kingdom made the people calm and said it was a reward from the system."
She paused, "You could guess what happened next. A screen appeared saying, -the tutorial has now finished- and is followed by -All the leaders of each kingdom will sign a contract. Your children and your children's children will forever be bound to it-."
"It was also followed by -You will all teach the people inside the tower on how to live here. Everything you do will be stopped for a month. As long as you're the leader of a kingdom, you will stop everything you are doing. Not accepting it will lead to your demise-."
"Then, the events happen. They sign the contract. People inside the tower go out from it and with their screen saying -You all have been chosen to save this world—"
Nancy continued to discussed things and saw how Gin was carefully listening to her. She felt glad that the first student she had wasn't some guy that was just here to play around with.
After some hours passed, Gin was there sitting on his seat not even bored once from Nancy's lesson. His head was full of information but he was satisfied.
"Any questions?" Nancy asked happily with her teacher's senses are tingling, 'It felt good.'
'It's finally time, huh.' Gin mused inwardly before giving a nod, "Actually, I do."
