Work.

"Haa"

In a dimly lit room, a small figure could be seen laying on the floor, his body language showing how stressed out he was.

"That bastard, all these books have locks," he said, taking in deep breaths. 'I'm going to get my revenge' he thought, picking up a red-covered book from the dusty floor, using the material he had to clean it up.

Boldly written on the book exterior was the word *ESSENCE*, with the highlighted color on the word changing with every second, it looked magical and beautiful.

Closing his eyes; he tried to open the book, going through the same process he performed with every cleaned book. 'Same here, I can't even read them… what's the need to clean then' he thought, still keeping his eyes closed.

The room was filled with books of different sizes, colors, and textures. It seemed to be a mix of both modern and ancient books, giving the room a powerful feeling, a feeling only scholars would understand.

'When I finished his test, I thought he was going to teach me something exciting, now… I'm fucking cleaning!' he yelled in his mind, tears of depression almost falling from his eyes.

"Hey kid, you can't spend the whole season cleaning, you got training to do!" Yelled a man, sounding stressed out.

'bastard! You dare say such blasphemy!' he yelled in his mind, not daring to say it out loud. 'wait is blasphemy the right word to use, hmmm… not like it matters… no one heard me' he thought, smiling proudly.

"How do you survive?" Asked the male in exasperation. Though his figure could not be seen, I could still deduce he had a strange facial expression.

"What do you mean?" He inquired in a stressed tone, seeming to have no interest in the current topic.

"Come on Liam! You understand," said the male, taking Liam's ignorance as acting.

Now we finally got the identity of the cleaning male… you knew his identity?... Then that's for you, I had no idea… just figuring it out now. So since we know one of the individuals' identities, we just have to discover the other identity. Find X?

"Then no need to argue, since you believe I know it!" Liam yelled out in an infuriated tone. He was finally getting gutsy, after challenging Cuckoo back then.

"Is that how you talk, kid," said the male, his intimidating voice echoing in the dim room.

With goosebumps appearing on his body exterior, and hairs all standing erect, Liam could not help but shudder in fear. "I'm so…"

"Buhahahahaha! No need to feel scared, I told Raymond back then, my voice had the power to instill fear in living beings," said the male in an excited tone, probably performing the victory dance.

*Twitch*

*Twitch*

Veins could be seen popping from all sides of Liam's flesh, I'm pretty sure an Earthling would die from such a condition, but Liam passed that stage the moment he transmigrated.

"Don't worry kid, I will teach you," he said proudly. "A day will come when you can instill fear in your enemy by speaking… a very useful ability indeed," said the male, sounding like a narcissist.

"..."

"Hey kid, don't divert the topic," the male said calmly, sounding serious and responsible. From his tone, he seemed to have caught a thief in an act.

"What topic?" Liam inquired, picking up a blue-covered book. Using his rag; he wiped the dirt off the surface, taking a glance at the book's name.

"Your attendant?"

"What's the issue with her?" Liam asked, not understanding the male point.

"How do you survive with her by your side?" Inquired the male, tired of beating around the bush.

"Ohh! She's kind of annoying… though I didn't talk to her much, you know… training and stuff," Liam replied, ending his statement with a sigh.

"Ohh! I understand you… have you ever thought of dating?" The male asked in a curiosity-filled voice.

"..."

"Hahahahaha, I understand kid, you feel shy," said the male, laughing hysterically.

"What is my attendant's name!" Echoed Liam, in an attempt to change the topic. From his expression; he didn't want anything to do with that matter… for now.

*Drip*

Though the distance between them was much, Liam could hear the drop of a liquid substance hitting the floor. "What's that?" He inquired, his eyebrow arching upward.

"No… nothing… just rain, yes rain," replied the male in a rush, seeming scared of something.

"Okay… so what's her name?" Liam asked again curiously. He had an interest in the troublesome maiden name, but couldn't get it; she always acted mysterious.

"Hey kid, what do you take me for?" Answered the male, in a somewhat wary tone. He seemed cautious, so as not to step on the wrong toes.

"My teacher," Liam replied, going straight to the point.

"Look, kid… I'm no pervert, so don't expect me to go around… taking notes of pretty ladies' names," replied the male in an all-righteous tone. He sounded like a prophet, fighting against evil.

"I'm not…"

"Stop there, kid... ask such perverted questions again… and... " the male said in a warning tone, cutting Liam short.

"..."

"Now concentrate on your work, I have a mission to accomplish," he said, his footsteps portraying his intention to leave.

"How long…"

"Don't bother asking, just concentrate," said the male, cutting Liam's inquiry short. "I'll be back, don't disappoint me," he continued, his footsteps sound dying out.

"Haaa, don't know when I'll be done."

{I'm not good at 'third person POV'... not even sure I'm good at 'first person POV'😂, so please do have patience… and your advice is appreciated.
