"Y-you... m-me..."
Leila pointed at herself, then to Nicholas with a confused face. Her brain suddenly became blank leaving her stranded with nothing to say or do at the moment. She closed her eyes and slowly shook her to get her head straight.
"Yes. You and me" Nicholas said. His eyes were unfazed and dark, and his face stoic.
Leila composed herself. She took a step back, and forced herself to look away while laughing awkwardly "Sir, I don't understand what you want to interpret".
"I need us to pretend to date" There was desperation in his voice.
"Did he eat something wrong?" Leila jeered in her mind.
"Sir, I don't understand why we have to pretend to date" Leila questioned him.
"The role of you pretending my girlfriend suits you. So, my grandma choose you" Nicholas muttered in a ridiculing tone.
"Sir, I think there was some misunderstanding". Leila spoke clearly.
"Just answer yes or no!" Nicholas shows his domineering side as he pointedly raises his chin.
Leila looked at him for a while before she answered, "Sorry Sir. I don't have any intention of pretending to go out with you".
Nicholas took one more step towards her from where he stood. He placed his phone in her face and a video was pulled up.
Leila immediately recognized the two persons in the footage—Drew and a young man. Within seconds, Drew reached out to clasp his hand around the young man's throat and there was an obvious strength in his hold as he choked him.
"Do you have any idea what if this video reached your Brother's University forum?" Nicholas was currently boring a hole in Leila's head with his gaze.
Leila's gaze was also fixed on him. "Is that a threat?" She snapped.
His lips curved upwards as he stared at her hazel eyes. He straightened himself and said, "It's a negotiation".

Central Hospital...
"Nurse Ivy, I'll go and check the patient in room no. 2," Bonnie said.
"Doctor Davis is already doing that." Nurse Ivy informed. Ivy pouted her lips and said sadly "I already missed Doctor Tony".
Nurse Rose chuckled and said, " I bet he won't even remember you".
"Hello, Doctor Bonnie!" A man who was in his late twenties greeted Bonie brightly.
Giving him a very weak smile, Bonnie said, "Hello, Doctor Daniel".
"Come on, Beauty. We have known each other for almost a year now. Stop being formal and call me Daniel". Daniel urged while Bonie remain silent.
"Well, Would you like to grab a cup of coffee with me?" Daniel asked with his charming smile.
"My shift is not over yet. If you'll excuse me, Doctor Daniel" Bonie said, walking by him.
After Bonnie left, Rose chuckled inaudibly, "This is the 20th rejection that I've seen".
Daniel turned with fiery eyes and snorted, "I can hear".
Picking up the patient's file, Bonnie asked, "Did you still have trouble walking?"
"No. I am feeling better" The man replied.
"The X-ray came out fine. Okay! I will prescribe you some medicine" Bonie said.
"Well...Are you okay? That patient was aggressive that day" The man shows concern.
Bonnie lifted her head and replied, "Thank you for that day".
"I think I never introduced myself to you. I am Nolen Carson" Nolen introduced himself.
"Hello, I am Bonie Green" Bonie tore a thin smile. Nolen heart skipped a beat when she look straight at him. Her face is bare of makeup and cherry-like lips and she has dark but bright eyes. She was beautiful as she could be.
"I am Barry Carson, his brother. And I am very close with Tony" Barry quickly wiped his hands on his yellow sportswear a few times before reaching out his hand.
Bonnie politely shakes his hand. "Nice to meet you". She then turned to Nolen and asked, "How did you get hurt?".
Nolen slightly cleared his throat and answered, "I went on a field trip during which a mountain road collapsed, and I met an accident there."
"Okay. Nurse Rose will help with your injection" Bonie flashed her professional smile before she walked out.
"Wow. Someone is whipped." Barry whispered from behind.
"Why are you here? I told you to wait outside" Nolen cocked his brows.
"Why are you so ungrateful? Who droves you here?" Barry hissed.

Nicholas gracefully picked up the coffee in front of him and took a sip.
"What was his intention? I can't read his face at all" Leila stared at the man sitting in front of her in stupefaction.
Nicholas said nothing, sitting in front of her quietly and enjoying the coffee. Leila waited for the man to speak but that didn't happen.
Leila straightened her body and broke the silence in frustration. "Sir, I am afraid that I might disappoint you".
"Are you afraid that you will fall for me?" Nicholas asked with a stale tone, sipping his coffee languidly.
Nicholas's domineering manner made Leila want to laugh. "Narcissistic is also a disease" Leila criticized him silently.
Leila slightly cleared her throat and said, "Please Keep your promise". The seriousness on her face made her look like a female fighter.
Nicholas leaned backwards comfortably. He wore an indifferent expression and said, "We have to stay loyal to each other for three months".
Leila stared at him stubbornly before she nodded her head yes.
