Terumi Baki

Haku booked a room in the inn for 2 days and went to the room after having a totally not stolen meal of dried meat he started sleeping soundly with his ninja equipment by his side.

Haku woke up as he stretched his small body. Just then—

Knock. Knock.

Haku was weirded out. He knew that an inn as shabby as this wouldn't have staff knocking on the door.

He tipped toed towards the door and looked out from the keyhole. Haku couldn't see the whole body of the person but what he could see was the ninja equipment hanging by the waist of the person.

He quickly went to his bed and got his own weapons and again went near the door.

Knock. Knock

He took out an explosive tag that a genin had… donated to him.

He then looked for one that had '10s' written on its back and stuck it to the door.

He inserted the chakra and counted the seconds while running to the window.

One second.

Another series of knocks could be heard.

Three seconds.

Haku reached the window and said while imagining a sleepy voice" Is it the inn staff…? Please wait a second. I am coming."

Six seconds.

He opened the window and jumped in a huge bush from the second floor.

Seven seconds.

A kunai thrown towards him barely missed his head as he continued to fall.

Nine seconds.

He entered the bush but another kunai stabbed the bush.

Thankfully, after being obstructed by the bush and haku's chainmail, the kunai lacked enough kinetic energy to Pierce him.

BOOOOM—

A deafening sound rang through the block.

Haku's smirk didn't last for long as he was pushed back by a water wave towards a wall.

"Tazuma!" A voice came from the window of the room Haku escaped from.

Haku looked up and saw a 10-year-old boy with some door shrapnel sticking out of his face and legs. The boy was standing vertically on the inn's wall.

Haku noticed the boy's Auburn hair.

'Aubrun hair! Is he from the Lava bloodline clan??... What was its name?' 

Without giving the clan a second thought, Haku weaved hand seals and so did the auburn-haired boy.

'Ice release: Icicle jutsu'

'Lava release: scorching stream rock jutsu'

Haku took a deep breath and spat out a sharp and long Icicle! He had already mastered the jutsu in a few days! It started moving rapidly towards Baki.

On the other hand, Baki spat out 5 balls of lava toward Haku and ground below Haku.

The icicle sent by Haku peirced one of the five balls of lava and started melting.

Baki eye's widened as he saw an icicle approaching him. He screamed "Tazuma! Wild water wave! All chakra!"

Haku could feel the heat of the lava approaching him, time seemed to be slowed down. His clothes started getting caught on fire.

'Dying so soon after coming on such a fantastic world isn't interesting at all.'

Haku closed his eyes as he let himself fall from the wall.

Suddenly, Haku mobilized almost all his chakra, which was almost that of a chunin, and released his ice attribute chakra in all directions— creating a crystal of thick ice surrounding him!

The thick ice barely managed to stop the magma but the ice had started melting from the head.

Haku had gotten second-degree burns.

He looked at the hot magma that had splattered on the ground from other remaining magma balls.

Looks like he really was going to die.

But, An intense wave of water came down on magma and cooled it down enough to give haku first-degree burns only.

Haku quickly swam down on the water and got his kunai ready.

"Don't try to attack, we won't attack you too." Haku felt the sensation of cold kunai touching his neck. The voice was different from the auburn-haired kid. 

Haku guessed that this was the 'Tazuma' guy the auburn-haired kid was talking about.

"You are one of the remaining members of the Yuki clan, right? What's your name?" The auburn-haired kid appeared in front of Haku.

"Introduce yourself first!" Haku had already realized who this kid was, more specifically he realized the clan this kid was from—the Terumi clan.

If Haku remembered correctly, Terumi Mei—Who is probably in her 20s and an elite Jonin currently— was the fifth Mizukage in anime. That means Terumi clan rebelling against the current Mizukage isn't a stretch.

"Oh, how rude of me! I am Terumi Baki. A genin of kirigakure." Although Baki sounded jolly his appearance was nothing but that.

Haku was also starting to feel the pain of his first and second-degree burns.

"My name is Yuki Haku. Yes, I am the last member of the Yuki clan. Also, Can you ask your friend to remove the kunai from my neck?" Haku said quickly, sensing an opportunity to get out of this situation.

"Ok. Tazuma, if you may." Haku gestured towards Tazuma as the boy reluctantly put his kunai down while still keeping his vigilance.

"Shun!! Heal our friend Haku while we talk!" Haku realized that Baki was genuine about this conversation after Shun came and started using medical ninjutsu to heal Haku.

"Ok now that things have subsided, let's talk. You must be one of the victims of the recent war correct?" Despite his current appearance, Baki started talking professionally.

Haku nodded.

"Alright then! You see we of the Terumi clan are also planning to end this civil war and the persecution of Kekkei genkai clans. Your Yuki clan was similarly persecuted by the policy of current mizukage."

Haku's eyebrows scrunched up as intense hatred radiated from them. Of course, this was all an act but Baki didn't know it!

"Now here is the deal! Judging by your abilities, you are talented even among the ninjas with Kekkei Genkai. So I want you to—"

"I-I will join your faction! I don't wish for other people to lose their p-parents like I did…" Haku's expression loosened as he looked down.

"Let me continue. So if you join us, I will provide you with jutsus, and in exchange when you become strong enough, you will support up with your strength. How does that sound?"

"Ok! But I am traveling to my clan's island right now and… I can only support you after my strength reaches Jonin level!" Haku said apologetically.

"That's fine! Now why don't we move somewhere else? I need to teach you some Justus and Shun can help you too. It would be bad if our fourth teammate saw us."

Haku nodded and moved outside the town by climbing the wall with them.

After about 5 minutes of walking, Baki weaved hand seals and slammed his hand on the ground.

A dome made out of strong dirt and rock was erected around them all of them sat on the ground.

Haku was almost completely healed and Shun was now tending Baki's wounds.

Haku on the other hand was excited! An interesting scenario had arrived!
