Inside a training ground in the Uchiha compoud, Chiba and Itachi looked at each other. It had been over a month since they started ninja academy, and they realized their strength was far beyond that of their peers.
Without anything to learn from the school combat wise, they both decides to just skip school and used a shadow clone to attend school in there place. As the son of the patriarch, itachi was able get ahold of the jutsu and with his father's permission, teach it to Chiba.
Itachi learned the Justu within the first day, meanwhile it took Chiba the entire month of constant training and studying with Itachi for him to finally learn the shadow clone technique.
His lack of talent with jutsu was apparent to him, that's why he had decided to use his template abilities to the fullest instead, atleast until he has enough chakra to use shadow clones overcome his lack of talent.
For Itachi and Chiba, the Ninja school is just part of the requirements to be a konoha ninja and besides, when the shadow clones disappear they will gain the knowledge they learn in class.
Itachi wants to catch up with Chiba. At the same time, he also wants to go to the battlefield to find out what a ninja is and what is the meaning of life.
"Not attending class on the first day of school. It's not like you at all Itachi!" Chiba said as he pulled out his sword.
"With a Shadow Clone it doesn't matter, and what the school teaches can be compared to our training!" With that said, Itachi took out a handful of kunai from the ninja bag and looked at Chiba with a very serious attitude.
And Chiba just stood there quietly. He was leaning on sheath of his cane in his left hand and the sword in his right hand, released an invisible pressure.
"In that case, let's start!" Chiba said as he dashed forward. The moment he finished speaking, Itachi also moved.
Itachi exploded with a terrifying speed as he used the body flickering technique, and moved at a speed that shouldnt have been achievable by a five year old and his kunai slammed into Chiba's.
'As expected of Uchiha Fugaku's son… He has a strong fighting talent!' In the grass next to the boys, was a small white snake that stuck his tongue out and watched them sparring silently.
'Rumor has it that Itachi was taken to the battlefield by Fugaku when he was four years old. When a Rock Shinobi ninja suddenly attacked at close range, Itachi instinctively defended himself and cut the opponent's throat. Those are the instinct of a natural killer, it seems that it is wasn't a rumor.'
Itachi's talent was even more terrifying than Orochimaru had imagined. Itachi jumoed back and threw three shurikens, but the direction was not pointing towards Chiba.
It seemed that Itachi had missed the shot, when suddenly Itachi quickly threw another three shurikens again, this time the Kunai was faster than before.
The fast shurikens caught up with the slows ones and there was a metal collision between each other, redirecting every shuriken at Chiba at a fast speed.
The little white snake was startled at the skill of the five year old, and even felt himself a little jeloused at the young boys talent.
'What a skillfully display of the Shuriken Technique, and to do this without the use of the Sharingan?'
Orochumaru figured that Uchiha Itachi's talent was probably higher than that of Uchiha Shisui, however this time Orochimaru's object was not Uchiha Itachi, but his opponent at the moment, Uchiha Chiba.
'So, how will this Uchiha Chiba, who can't see anything deal with it?'
Chiba still leaned on cane in, standing quietly in place. He seems to be waiting for the arrival of the Shuriken when suddenly he shifted this weight off of the cane.
The six shurikens arrived at the same time, they surrounded him on all sides leaving no room to dodge or escape but Chiba made no intent on dodging.
Chiba suddenly lifted up the sheath and held it in his left hand like his sword, the metal tip that Chiba used for discovering the way pointed in the air.
'Is it ignorance that he doesn't dodge? Or is it confidence in his skills.' the little snake thought and it soon saw it's answer.
With a sudden twist in his body, 3 of the Shuriken were sliced in half as the other three were blocked by the end of Chiba's cane, leaving no dent in the chakra metal bottom.
'Such precision by a blind man! If I was blinded in such a situation, I would have jumped well above the Shuriken and wouldnt dare trying to block them!' Orochimaru watched as Chiba dashed forward towards Itachi.
His sword came Slashing forward toward Itachi's neck, only to be met with a kunai blade that blocked it. Chiba's cane struck fast and lightly tapped the Itachi's forehead.
"If this was a really battle, I'd have used all my strength and pierced through your eye and into your brain Itachi. Be more cautious!" Chiba yelled out in an authoritative voice.
Chiba template character, Fujitora, was an Admiral in the Marines that taught thousands of soldiers in the way of combat. Chiba Template system gave the user important memories of the character, and these memories helped Chiba train Itachi.
Itachi jumped back and pulled out a second kunai, duel wielding them similar to Chiba's as he realized he could quickly drop the blade when he needed to use a jutsu.
Reaching into his pocket, Chiba took out an item and stuck it in his mouth as Itachi wearily looked at him. Rushing forward, Chiba rushed forward and slashed out with his blade and kunai, leaving their faces a foot within each other.
Itachi looked intently at Chiba's mouth, preparing to dodge anything that came out of it when he suddenly saw the world being flipped upside down as his legs had been swept out beneath him by Chiba.
Opening his mouth, Chiba spit out a hard candy on the ground and looked at Itachi.
"Remember Itachi, we are not fighting samurai who fight with honor. Our enemies are ninja who will use slight of hand and misdirection in order to attack you, never let yourself be tunnel vision!" Chiba said as Itachi listened intently.
Itachi nodded as he stood up, causing Chiba to gain a few cold sweat.
'This kid is like a robot, if you teach him once he'll never make that mistake again. I'm starting to wonder if I should really be training him before I can complete convince him to not genocide the Uchiha.' Chiba shook his head at that thought.
Chiba had experience not just from Fujitora but from his past life as well, and he knew first hand that you should never plan for failure as it made one accept failure easily.
Chiba refused to give up on Itachi, so he felt no reason to hold back on training him.
