Doing fine....

Episode 6

Monday morning, I was not myself. My parent had left for work yesterday evening as said. I quickly took my bath and rushed my dress. It was a cold morning so I picked a matched color sweater. Made sure I informed grandma that am leaving. Still can't reach Rachel so I boarded a bike not awaiting the school bus. One thing was sure, no matter how early u was, Rachel will also be in school before me.

As usual I met her in school, delighted and lively as ever. I felt a relief from my intestine. She ran to me and her smile was as s bright as the reader. "Hi" she said. "you scared me" I said. "Happy Birthday" I wished and she was surprised. "that's why you've been ignoring my calls, right" she felt shy. "am sorry" she said and I hugged her. "I was just worried" I said. I knew eyes will be on us but I did not care, as far as its Rachel.

During break time, I decided to present the gift but found out I forgot it. "damn". I was still thinking of how to go about the situation on ground, suddenly Charles dropped the chain on my lap and winked.

I was more than happy that moment that I forgot we were in public and I hugged him. If only you were able to see the reaction of my mates. "is everything ok?" Rose, the youngest in the class asked. I felt embarrassed but assured I was fine. Looking out the window, Rachel was in the school restaurant. Why don't you give a full surprise" Charles said but I didn't understand.

We were in the school bus dropping every boarded student at their destination. Rachel would be dropping before me so it was well planned. "bye" she waved as she dropped. "check your bag when you are less busy" I said which sounds furious. Also dropped at the gate and walked in.

"You skipped breakfast, right" grandma asked, ignoring my greetings. I scratched my head and try to make a funny look but it didn't seem to work. "am sorry ma, I went with money" I explained. "you know I don't like  you looking slim which you already are" she worried. "lean she said" Charles laughed. "I will make sure not to skip breakfast again" I promised. "that's my boy".

I knew Rachel would be coming cause of the surprise I gave so I had a shower and used perfume.

It was getting dark and she didn't show up or call. I couldn't take it anymore and turned to Charles. "you are dead if she doesn't like the surprise or the gift" I frowned. He could only laugh and it didn't male me annoyed. "sorry, that hit me funny. Let me check what she's  doing" his statement put a smile on my face. "make it snappy, sir", I said.

10 minutes later, Charles teleported back with a bad news look. "why this look" I asked.  He looked at me and bowed his head in disappointment. "What is it?" I went closer. "do you know she has a boyfriend" he asked. "No, am sure she doesn't have one" I replied. "well I met the message in the garbage" he finally stopped beating around my head!

"what about the gift?" I asked. "you should be expecting it back tomorrow". Immediately, I lost the spirit. "this is why I don't love" I said and laid on my bed. "I meant the opposite words of those statement" Charles said suddenly.

"I don't get you" I was confused. "She loves your surprise and the gift" he said and watched my reaction. I went crazy and jumped on him, like as baby. "you are crazy" I whispered.

 "You need to see your look when I lied. You looked so ugly" he said and I threw the pillow at him. "You're such a monkey" I said and he laughed. "let's play PES" he brought up and I wanted to decline but his seductive eyes made me fall.

I guess it was our third game when grandma barged In...f*ck!!!

After a long explanation, she still did not believe saying I was performing black power. "Grandma, you don't trust me" I said still trying to convince those weird thoughts. "how do you expect me to trust you" she asked.

"Can a proof convince you" I asked. She looked at me and nodded. "Charles let her know am not performing black power" I yelled. Soon enough, he carried the pillow but grandma could only see the pillow floating on the air. I saw she was frightened but trying to keep it. "not until I see this Charles or whatever you called him" she said.

"Tell her to come over to the mirror" Charles said and I asked her to. She stared into the mirror and was shocked to see my twin standing next to her, while I was standing by the bed. Shocking, but she fainted.

I had to prepare dinner and I was lucky the noodles didn't get burnt. "You are a terrible cook" Charles mocked.

Things got settled when she woke up. Seems she had a dream or something cause she just said I was saying the truth. "thanks for trusting ma'am" I thanked and she went to her room.

"That was epic" i lamented. "Always lock the door behind" Charles warned and continued his game.

Late at night, Rachel still did not reply my messages and this bad thought flowed to my mind saying Charles was only trying to console me. All the same, few hours to meet my fate…
