Episode 7

Things have not been working out so well since the news from Charles. All I had in mind was to know Rachel's reaction with the gift and letter, since I did not believe Charles. Woke as early as ever just to prepare for school. I took my bath and rushed my breakfast. "I wont allow you out, not until the school bus arrives" grandma said trying to block me but my tricks were more effective. Followed the bus that takes the route to my school.

Few minutes to 7, I entered the school and went straight to class. Unusual, Rachel was not in school. "well have never been this early" I thought. Brought out my mathematics (it's my favorite).

Assembly time and Rachel is still absent. I was more 5han worried. I tried composing but you could see it in my eyes.

Break period, she was still absent. I then made up my mind to check on her.

Finally, closing time and I was expecting the bell to ring but no. "why has the time keeper refuse to ring the bell" I voiced out. "chill man, have been noticing you. Its just past one and you want to go home" one of the male student said. Truly, it was just 6 minutes past one "f*ck". I allowed my mind control me. I quickly checked my notes and damn it, you wouldn't believe me. Every word with r was written as Rachel.  I was dumbstruck. "I tried telling but you do not seem yourself" Charles whispered behind me.

I turned swiftly and said "shut up" but … the guy sitting behind me was sleeping. Now I had the whole class attention. "sorry, i… am fine" I said and left the class for the toilet.

Calm, I tried calming, so as Charles. He blew breeze and finally I was calm. I went back to class and stared at the clock. Surprised to see, it was 6 minutes to two. "I better not talk" I thought.

At last, we were closed and u was about to enter the school bus when a student yelled my name, saying the Principal seeks my attention. "what the …k" it's has truly been a bad day.

Nothing much just wanted to feel my presence and but unfortunately, I missed the school bus. Sincerely,  I was unable to cry. Well I searched my bag for my wallet and remembered I left it at home thinking It won't be of need.

No choice, I had to trek. I timed my self and in thirty minutes, I arrived Rachel's house. I banged the gate severally but no response, not until I noticed the padlock. I was extremely crossed that I hit the iron gate and felt the pain in the vein. I brought out my phone and tried her number.

Thank goodness it went through. "have been trying your number….." I kept mute after noticing it was not Rachel. "please who's this" I asked. "am Mary, Rachel's sister" she replied. "oh please I want to speak with Rachel" "sorry,  she's been admitted since yesterday" "what" I could not believe my ears. "which hospital" I asked. "Apex hospital" she said and I heard someone underneath  instructing her to hang up.

I felt restless and was not ready to calm down. Charles appeared and wanted to talk but I was forward. "hey, please can you help me with my wallet" I asked. "ok" he teleported and in few minutes he was back with it. "Oh, thanks" I did not listen to him, and it was to late when I knew. I boarded a bus and off I went.

Tears rolled down my cheek as I saw my girl in... Her parents were present and I paid homage. "what happened" I faced Mary. "We were robbed" her dad said. "…and my daughter was hurt. Those idiots called security would confess when they see hell" her mother roared. I wanted to talk but Rachel began to gasp. We called out for the doctor and we were asked to excuse after the doctor arrived.

Not quiet long, the doctor came to us and announced Rachel in coma.

My legs got weak instantly and I had to sit. Her helpless mother was in grief and refused not to get close to her laying daughter. With all might, she was put to sleep.

I checked the time and it was past 5. I already informed  grandma where I was but I had to change my clothes. "I will be back shortly" I told Mary.

Boarded a bus and I almost fell asleep. I was about to enter my room when I felt dizzy, definitely hungry but I was bordered about Rachel.

"What do you think about the robbery" Charles suddenly asked as I was undressing. "Its suspicious, because I believe with three security guard..." yeah that's my point" he intruded. "well that's not my problem, Rachel should get well soon" I said and walked out of my room.

He excused himself and teleported, but that was not my concern. I was really disturbed about Rachel. "I pray she doesn't loose her memories" cause have witnessed so many issues like that.

Grandma told me she would be following when am going back to the hospital. "I'll like to check on her" she said.

It was almost time for the evening prayer (magrib) when we arrived the hospital. I lead the path to where Rachel with grandma behind.

Exchanging pleasant plus condolences from grandma praying for their daughter to get well soon. All of a sudden, Rachel sneezed and all eyes where on her. "Jeesssuuss, Thank you", her mom started praising God.

I quickly called the attention of the doctor and few minutes later, she was said to be fine.
