Even if he was to be beaten to death, he would rather have Wang Yuju than to just give up. Li Ming didn't hesitate at all and walked towards Wang Yuju's room.

Li Ming was just about to push the door open when he was once again stopped by someone. If it was anyone else, he could've already pushed them away. But alas, it turned out to be Elder Wang..

Li Ming opened his mouth and was about to say something when Elder Wang coldly said, "I won't let you hurt Yu'er anymore! Scram!"

"Grandpa Wang, I-" Before he could finish his words, Elder Wang's cold eyes swept a glance at him which made him freeze in his place. With Elder Wang blocking the door to Wang Yuju's room, he couldn't even think of taking one step inside.

Hence, he could only return back to Li Mansion and try calling Wang Yuju though she never picked up..

- Inside Wang Yuju's Room

After Xia Meng vented her anger on Li Ming, she entered Wang Yuju's room. The door to the room was left open, the lights turned off. Xia Meng quickly locked the door and switched on the lights to see Wang Yuju burying her head in her knees.

She strode towards Wang Yuju who was slightly sobbing. Even though the room was strangely quiet, her sobs could be barely heard.

Xia Meng cursed Li Ming to death in her heart as she sat beside her and softly called out, "Yuju.." Wang Yuju lifted her head and was dazed to see her best friend. Her red eyes were slightly swollen due to crying. "Xiao Meng.."

Seeing her bestfriend in this type of distressed situation, Xia Meng felt her heart ache very badly. She immediately embraced the girl and gently patted her back. "You foolish girl! Why are you always suppressing your emotions and feelings?! Just let it all out!"

Her words were followed by complete silence and Wang Yuju didn't move at all. She didn't say anything and just kept patting Wang Yuju's back gently. This girl simply didn't like showing her emotions to others..

Just as she was patting her back, she realized that those small sobs had become much more louder than earlier. Little by little, those sobs gradually turned into cries. Wang Yuju suddenly started crying out loud like a baby. Hearing her cries, Xia Meng's eyes couldn't help but redden slightly.

She had never seen her cry like this before.. That Li Ming had really hurt her feelings terribly..

Earlier, Xia Meng had gone out to buy a welcome gift for Wang Yuju but when she returned, she was too late. After rushing over to Wang Household, she found out that the party had already begun.

She was about to find Wang Yuju when she accidentally overheard the Li and Wang Family's conversation. After learning about the whole matter, she worriedly tried to find Yuju but spotted her and Li Ming at the staircase.

Hence, she made her way over there. Everyone knows what happened after that so back to present time.

After god knows how long, Wang Yuju finally stopped crying. She still held tightly on the hem of Xia Meng's clothes which made the latter chuckle.

"Feeling better now?" Xia Meng asked lightly as she pulled away from her. Wang Yuju subtly smiled and nodded her head. With a hoarse and weak voice, she thanked her with her eyes brimming with tears: "Thank you so much.."

Seeing that she was about to cry again, Xia Meng quickly wiped the tears on her face and hastily said, "Okay, okay.. Now don't start crying again.. Go and take a shower first I'll go downstairs to bring us some food.. Then we can have dinner together.."

Wang Yuju watched as she skipped away quickly. With a smile on her face, she went to the bathroom to take a shower. 'Xiao Meng, I don't know what I would do without you.. I'm forever grateful to have a bestie like you..'

After Xia Meng walked out of the room, she directly went downstairs. "Oh? Did the party end already?" She curiously asked to the maid. The maid respectfully nodded her head, "Miss Xia, the party just ended. Please tell this servant if you need something.."

Xia Meng instructed the maid to send food upstairs to Wang Yuju's room while she walked towards the living room. She had left her bag along with the gift here when she first arrived.

With a smile plastered in her face, she was just about to enter when she heard faint voices coming from the study room that was right beside the living room.
