Wang Yuju tried to pull her wrist away from his grasp but to no avail. Instead he gripped even more tightly which made her wrist hurt very badly but the physical pain was much more bearable than the pain in her heart...

Her eyes were red, tears constantly flowing out of them and she was biting her lips to the point where it began bleeding. Her appearance was pitiful but also exceptionally beautiful. The moment he met those bright eyes, he instantly let go of her wrist. He was momentarily dazed and stupefied..

When he came back to his senses, Wang Yuju had already ran upstairs and disappeared in a blink of an eye. He clenched his fists and his eyes turned scarlet from anger and self-blame. That hurt expression in her face clearly revealed how much she was in pain because of him.. He came late.. Perhaps if he had come faster, he could've had a chance but now..

It was all because of that loathsome girl named Zhang Qian Mi!

Before when Wang Yuju left, he chased after her but was soon blocked by that Zhang Qian Mi. She immediately stopped him from leaving and even tried to cling on him. He avoided her touch and coldly tried to walk away.

But who knew what possessed this girl that time? With a cynical smile hanging on her lips, she hooked arms with his and asked, "Brother Ming, that girl in the photo in your wallet is Wang Yuju, right?" Li Ming coldly looked at her and brushed off her arms away from him with a disgusted look.

"So what?" He uttered and was about to leave, but was once again held back by that girl. Veins popped in his forehead as he slapped her hands away in frustration. "F*ck off!" He was already feeling pretty annoyed from being rejected by Yuju; now that this girl started to block his way intentionally, he couldn't control his anger and exploded instantly.

Being shoved by him, the fragile Miss of the Zhang Family immediately fell on the ground and her face was full of disbelief. Brother Ming actually... cursed at her... Tears started falling from her eyes, making her look extremely pitiful. She looked at the disappearing back of Li Ming and cried out. "Why?! Brother Ming, why?!"

She shouted until her throat hurt, yet Li Ming didn't look back at all, not even once. Everyone looked at her like she was a crazy woman and criticized her. But she didn't notice because her eyes were completely on the direction where he disappeared.

'Mother was right; once I returned back to the Zhang Family, no one will love and care about me.. I'm just a nobody.. Even Brother Ming loathes me now.. Is it wrong to want to be with him?! That b*tch angered my Brother Ming so he's annoyed right now.. Yeah, that must be the reason why he cursed..'

Zhang Qian Mi didn't believe the reality that was simply laid out in front of her. Alas, she was blinded by false hope and wishful thinking that Li Ming liked her and his anger was directed towards Wang Yuju..

Back to the present time.

Li Ming didn't waste any time thinking and immediately took big strides towards the stairs. He merely reached there when he was stopped by someone. He turned around and saw Xia Meng. He watched her walk before him and block the way to Wang Yuju's room.

He looked at her in puzzlement. "Xiao Meng, what are you doing?! Don't block my way!" Xia Meng didn't reply to his words but slowly leaned towards him with a cold expression in her face. "What am I doing?! Li Ming! I should ask you the same question, what are you doing?! I simply didn't know you were such a jerk!"

Following her words, Xia Meng swung a fist at Li Ming's chest. As he was shocked by her angry expression, Li Ming couldn't avoid the punch and he stepped backwards, crouching while hugging his chest. Xia Meng gritted her teeth and angrily said: "If you dare come inside, I won't let you off so easily!"

Saying that, she immediately headed towards Wang Yuju's room. Li Ming watched her back with stupefied expression in his face. He couldn't comprehend what exactly happened. Xia Meng seemed to have found out.. But if he doesn't go in right now then..

But the pain in his chest made him realize that Xia Meng was extremely skilled in martial arts. This punch was simply a warning for him.. If he went in, she would really keep her words and beat him up into pulp..
