MHA: The Lazy Hero

TITLE: Here I come MHA!

My name is John Carlo, the rest doesn't really matter as I'm dead. Yes dead, D-E-A-D. Now I know it's hard to believe since I'm standing here looking completely fine and telling you this but well there are reasons for that. To get a better understanding of my current situation let's take a trip down memory lane.

-------- Monday, 12 October 2022 --------

Location: Manila, Philippines

In a simple looking apartment were 3 individuals seated in the living room. On one side we have a man who seemed to be in his 40s, he has a stern look on his face, to his right is beautiful woman who seems to be in her late 30s with a stoic face. Opposite them is a boy, no less than 20 and he wears an annoyed look on his face.

The man is lecturing the boy so it's easy to guess that this is one of those parental guidance sessions. I am the boy, you already know my name, and am trying my best not to explode of rage from my dad's talk.

"You should stop wasting your time with those useless games, they won't bring you anywhere!" He says.

Well he's partially right. I, like most kids my age, is addicted to games (A/N: don't make as if you ain't) and am also an otaku (love anime, manga and web novels) but he's also wrong as in a way, I'm not wasting my time. Maybe one day, there'll be a game with which I can make money so I'm preparing for the future... in a way.

Dad continued his speech and after a while, I finally snap. I slam my hand on the table and begin releasing my pent up rage on my dad and mom shocking both of them but I ignore this as I continue and finish by saying "just wait and see, I'M GONNA BECOME SOMEBODY" with that, I stormed out of the house.

Immediately upon crossing the door, I notice a bus rushing towards me, which is strange because this is the cross walk, why is the bus on this track and why the hell is it headed towards me.

I take too long thinking of this and by the time am done, the bus is already before me and *BAM* the bus slams into me, throwing me a few meters back until I hit a street light thereby ending the fall.

'AHHHHHHHH IT HURTSSSSSSS! Fuck this is so freaking painful. Wtf was that driver thinking!?' I thought as I looked towards the bus just to notice there's no one in it, this surprises me but before I can make senses of anything, a sense of drowsiness hits me.

'So this is how I die huh… damn after all that… What a funny way to die…' I thought before giving in to the darkness.

So here, I am in this dark empty space, floating. My body is intact but I can't make sense of anything here just darkness.

With that, memories of my life began flashing before me. From when I was just a baby to where I died. Watching this memories, I felt regret. I never lived the best life, I was a pain to my parents wasting my time on useless games and the likes. But I have to say, it was a good life though it wasn't the best and my parents couldn't give me everything I wanted but hey, I got my basic needs and I can't be complaining when they're orphans out there.

Having come to terms with my life, I sigh but then something unexpected happened. A floor formed beneath me, bright lights all around and a man stood before, who looked exactly like my father but his dress was like that of Jesus.

I landed on said floor and asked the question anyone in my position will "who are you? And why are you impersonating my dad?" The man smiled which kinda pissed me off as he answered "hi there, I'm the guy who killed you"

It took me a while to understand but when I finally did, rage filled me and I stopped thinking straight as I launched at him while shouting "DIE" but as soon as I was a meter away from him, I fell face first to ground due to the huge weight that I felt above me. It seemed as though a planet was on my back.

"Whoa, chill. I'm just a random guy" He said

Which only made me madder. If it was my dad then I won't be too mad, maybe he needed to sell my body to support the family, but a random stranger killed me? "Why?" I thought out loud

And his answer was "well cuz it was fun" this shocked me to the core, he killed cuz it was fun? Seriously? He then continued "yeah, the son just did an epic speech and left while saying some cool words but is immediately knocked over by a bus, isn't that hilarious?"

Crazy… this guy is mad… he ended my life just cuz he thought it'll be fun. Now he has to die.

"You know I can just kill you again" he said

'Huh? Kill me again?' I thought

"Yes, I can easily do that"

With that the pieces came together: no driver in the bus, the lights, the huge weight on my body, plus he can read my mind. "Fuck, are you god?" I thought out loud

"Not really, I'm what you humans call a ROB" (A/N: Random overpowered being)

So he's a god huh, well I don't give a fuck. "WHY THE FUCK DID YOU KILL ME?" I screamed at him. Which made him laugh madly clearly scaring poor little me, then he said "well as I said, cuz it was fun. Anyway, since you've given me a good laugh which I haven't had in a long while, I'll give you a second chance at life. What do you say?"

It took me a while to understand but when I finally did, a huge sense of joy came over me. This is like most of those reincarnation novels, mc gets wishes from god and becomes super op. so without much deliberation I nodded.

The ROB smiled as he said "okay I'll reincarnate you into MHA, you get to choose your family's financial situation, your looks and your quirk."

Hearing this, I began thinking and after a while I said "okay for my family, I want them to have more than enough but I don't want them to be too rich as I don't wanna deal with the media" 'too lazy for that'. The ROB didn't say anything so I continued "for my looks, I want to look like the fictional character Menhera-kun." Yeah, I choose this guy cuz he's not too handsome and well you can't call him ugly. Also cuz I'm going to MHA, though I don't want a harem but hey, I still wanna have a girlfriend maybe? The ROB chuckled, that bastard read my mind.

*Sigh* calming down, I stated my quirk "I want air manipulation as my quirk. That includes all the techniques, applications, associations and variations" Yep, air manipulation: the power to freely manipulate the atmosphere. This is the strongest quirk in my opinion as with a mere thought, I can stop your oxygen supply thus killing you.

Now tell me which is faster, my brain or any of those mc b*tches? (Excluding Goku, that guy is a freak)

The ROB seemed to be thinking and as after a while he said "I can't give you all of them but for the ones that you'll have, they'll come at a price do you accept?" I thought about it but I've really got nothing to lose as long as it's not my d*ck then am good so I nodded.

"Okay, you'll find out later on in your new world" he paused before saying "now let's talk about your punishment"

Huh punishment? What did I do to deserve a punishment? He read my mind again as he said "you tried to kill me and also insulted me, don't think you can get away cut free"

'Damn why did I do that, well let's hope it's not something too severe' I thought as the ROB said "I've brandished you with a curse, it's nothing too severe. But in the world you're going to, it might be very dangerous"

"Okay are you gonna tell me?" I asked and his answer didn't really surprise me "nah, I don't wanna ruin the surprise"

"With that out of the way, it's time for you to go. Are you ready?" He asked. I began remembering my past life and with a smile I said "yeah" he snapped his fingers and said "good luck with your new life, I'll be watching you so make sure to entertain me" then a sense of drowsiness hit me (yet again)

As I was losing consciousness I thought 'good bye mom and dad. And here I come MHA!'
