Chapter 40

Walking through the forest, Axel and Midoriya stayed silent under the uncomfortable atmosphere they created as neither of them spoke a word.

The bravery challenge had started as class 1-A went into the forest while class 1-B tried to scare them. Everyone was paired up except for the students who had to go for extra classes with Aizawa.

Midoriya fidgeted while walking with Axel. He was nervous as he had some questions to ask Axel but he didn't know if Axep would answer them. Axel, on the other hand, noticed.

" Something wrong? " Axel asked.

" Ahh! " Midoriya jumped at Axel's voice as he turned to Axel.

" No! No! Nothings wrong. " Midoriya said as he tried to convince Axel.

Midoriya looked at Axel who had his hand on an X-shaped barrier.

" Are you referencing a meme? " Midoriya asked with an unamused face.

" Yes. " Axel said with his usual poker face.

Midoroya stared at Axel with a blank face.

" Besides it removed the weird atmosphere. It was starting to get annoying. " Axel said.

' Thank God, it's gone. ' Axel thought.

" OH, that's true. " Midoriya said.

" So, why were so nervous? " Axel asked.

" I had some questions I wanted to ask you. I just didn't know how to ask without being too forceful. " Midoriya said as he rubbed the back of his neck.

" Makes sense. What are the questions? " Axel asked curiously. He was bored so why not. If he didn't want to answer, he wouldn't answer.

" OH, oh, okay. Well, the first one is why weren't you angry when I told Shigaraki your abilities? " Midoriya asked.

It bothered him a lot. He likes to take notes on other people, their quirks specifically and with that information, people could use it to take down heroes which is why he now saves them on his computer with multiple passwords so no one but him can access them. Plus, it kinda freaks some people out that he knows so much about them and has it recorded.

He also burned his previous notebooks in a glorious seed off. Tears were diffently spilled but it was necessary. For the greater good.

" Hmm, that's easy. Like I said before, you didn't reveal anything that Shigaraki couldn't try to figure out using the sports festival videos. In all honesty, I was more concerned about the fact that they were targeting me. " Axel said.

" Eh? " Midoriya said as he looked at Axel in surprise.

" Why are you so surprised? That's the entire reason he asked you. He wants me dead, which is why he asked you about my abilities. " Axel said.

" Well that's true, but you're still not angry about that?! " Midoriya asked as his voice got louder.

" Yes. You don't have to keep worrying. I'm not mad about that fact, so just relax. " Axel as he looked at Midoriya.

Midoriya sighed in relief. He really couldn't understand Axel or get a read on him. He was confused and overthought everything, thinking that Axel was secretly mad at him but didn't show it.

" I see. Sorry about telling Shigaraki. " Midpriya apologized again.

" It's fine. " Axel said.

" Anything else? " Axel asked.

" Yeah actually, what was the move you used on Stain and the Nomu when we were in Hosu? " Midoriya asked excitedly with stars in his eyes.

Axel sweatdropped as Midoriya looked at him with big pleading star eyes.

' How is he even doing that? This isn't a Manga. ' Axel thought.

Axel then stopped as he looked at the sky, to see a rising smoke cloud. Midoriya also stopped as he looked at the smoke cloud.

' Who angered Kaachan? ' he thought.

Axel on the other hand feared the worst and quickly made barriers. He spread them across the area and looked through each one from different angles.

' Villains. ' He thought.

He took out his cell phone and called Mandalay. The phone rang as Midpriya looked at him using his phone. Before he could ask why Axel talked.

" Mandalay. There are villains on the premises. " He said.

Midpriya stiffened as his body tensed up. Axel was serious.

" Wait? Are you sure? " Mandalay asked, being doubtful. This is a private location and UA made sure that the league couldn't find out where the training camp would be.

" Yes. Some villains are heading to your location as we speak. " Axel said as he created a barrier to use as a hoverboard.

" I see. I'll notify everyone. Wait, Kota... "

" I'll go get him. He'll be fine. " Axel said seriously.

" Got it. " Mandalay said, trusting Axel as she looked at the villains who arrived in front of her.

Ending the call, Axel stepped on the barrier before speaking to Midoriya.

" Bakugou and Shoto are few feet in front of us. If you run, you'll be able to reach them. " Axel said.

" Got it. " Midoriya said. Activating full cowling, he dashed towards Bakugou and Todoroki's position.

He didn't argue with Axel and rushed towards them. He knew Axel was better suited to protected Kota than him.

Axel rushed towards Kota at full speed. Kota though stared at the forest that was on fire. He stared in shock before looking at the dot that was coming towards him.

" Axel. " Kota said as he ran up to him as Axel landed on the ground.

" Sup. " Axel said.

" What's happening?! " Kota asked with fear on his face.

" Villains. " Axel said. Kota had fear on his face from that fact.

' How did they know about this place? ' He thought.

" Wow. Thanks for running the fun. " Said a voice.

Axel and Kota turned their heads to look at the large muscular man walking up to them. He had a magical grin on his face, short blond hair, a scar over his left eye with a piece of metal on it.

Kota shook in fear and anger as he looked at the man. He recognized him. He could recognize from a mile away.

This was the man who killed his family.

" You! " He muttered as he looked at the villain.

Axel and the villain looked at the kid who stared at the villain with attention in his eyes.

" You were the one who killed my parents!! " Kota yelled.

" Really? Do you have any idea how little that narrows it down? " Muscular said.

Axel watched as Kota used his quirk, spraying a blast of water at the villain. The villain grinned as he took the attack and came out unharmed.

Axel stared at the villain whose body was covered in a pink substance.

" That tickled a bit. Thankfully my quirk allows me to power up my muscles, to increase my speed and power. They just can't be contained inside my body though! " Muscular said as he looked at Kota.

" But I know who you're talking about now. You are the child of those heroes, right? Water hose. " Muscular said with a grin on his face.

" It must be fate. It's thanks to them I have this artificial eye. "

" It's your fault. It's people like you... that it always turns out like this!! " Kota yelled.

" Kids are always shifting the blame like that. That's no good. It's not like I have a grudge or anything, you know. I just wanted to kill and those 2 wanted to stop me. It was the result of all of us doing what we wanted.

What's wrong is wanting to do something you are unable to do. Like your mommy and daddy!! " Muscular yelled as he activated his quirk to the max and rushed towards Kota.

Kota had his eyes closed as he saw Muscular's fist coming towards him.

* bam *

" What?! " Muscular yelled.

Kota opened his eyes to see a yellow barrier blocking Muscular's attack. The barrier took no damage at all. Kota then felt a hand on top of his head. He looked up to see Axel next to him.

" You!! The boss told me that you were one of the ones I should kill. " Muscular said. Axel looked at him from the corner of his eye.

* bam *

Muscular dug his feet into the ground as he slid backward. Once he stopped, he looked at Axel again. Axel just stared at him with a cold look on his face.

" You'll do. " He said coldly.

His voice was quiet, barely a whisper but Muscular and Kota could hear it clearly. Muscular flinched as he stared at the kid again. Axel and a cold look on his face as he walked towards Muscular, Dio style.

" What the hell are you talking about?! " Muscular yelled as he got rid of the small fear he felt.

" I'll do. You sound as if I'm perfect for something. " He said as he looked at Axel.

" Yeah. You'll make a good punching bag. " Axel said as he stared at Muscular with icy blue eyes.

Muscular flinched as he stared at those eyes.

* bam *

Muscular spat out blood from his mouth as a golden hand slammed into his gut. He was then grabbed by the throat by the golden figure.

He watched as the figure curled his fingers one by one before repeatedly slamming its fist into his face. Muscular managed to take less damage thanks to his quirk but he still spat put saliva from the punches.

Axel didn't let up as he made his Susanoo stage 2 slammed Muscular into the side of the mountain. Muscular tried to get up but before he could, he cried out in pain as Axel broke his right arm, even with all the muscles he used on his arm.

He couldn't speak as Axel made his stage 2 Susanoo slam its fist into Musvulars face, drawing blood. Muscular could do nothing as Axel repeatedly beat the shit out of Muscular, breaking a couple of bones in the process, doing it as painfully as possible.

" Please stop. " Muscular managed to say after all the damage he received.

He looked at Axel with begging eyes, but Axel's face made no change. It was still cold. He grabbed Muscular by the head and slammed into the ground, in front of Kota.

He lifted Muscular's beaten face to Kota, who stared the beaten-up villain.

" Kota. " Axel called out. Kota looked at Axel who stared back with a calm, gentle look in his eyes.

" Do you want me to stop? " Axel asked.

Kota was shocked by the option. He stared at Axel before looking at Muscular. Muscular looked at the kid with pleading eyes.

" I'm sorry kid. I'm sorry for killing your parents. Please make him stop. Please. " Muscular cried out.

Kota looked at Muscular as everything that happened with his family, replayed inside his head. He stared at Muscular for a few seconds before telling his answer.

" No," Kota said.

Muscular's face paled. He wanted to speak but a cold, unforgiving voice beat him to it.

" Okay. " Axel said.

" Wait. NO. PLEASE. I'M SORRY. I WON'T KILL ANYONE EVER AGAIN! PLEASE STOP!! " Muscular cried out.

" Did you stop? " Axel said. His voice cutting through Muscular's plies. Muscular looked at Axel who stared back.

" All your victims. Did you ever stop when they begged you to? No right. So why should I? " Axel said.

Muscular's face paled as Axel broke him. By the end, Muscular was covered in blood, almost all his bones were broken, his face broken and bruised, and his skull had a crack in it.

He laid against the hill as Axel deactivated stage 2. The blood on the barrier, fell to the ground, as he went back to his usual poker face.

His eyes widened as he looked down at his right leg to see Kota hugging it.

" Thank you. " Kota said as he hugged Axel's leg tighter. He felt at peace after seeing his parent's killer get destroyed like that. Axel placed his hand on Kota's head as Kota looked up to him.

" No problem. "
