"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke
"Good job," said Izuku, standing up, but he wasn't alone, Kaina was sitting on his lap intimately.
Seeing this Shoji got shocked and flustered as well as he asked, "How long have you been here, and where did she come from?"
"I brought her, and as far as how long is concerned, I can say since you started cutting the first policeman's head," said Izuku with a smile.
Listening to Izuku's answer Shoji was stunned as he couldn't even sense his presence, of course he wasn't the focused type, or even if he was the focused type, he beheaded policemen who always oppressed him that too for the first time in life, there was no way he could stay calm enough to not notice when Izuku came in with Kaina and enjoy the show.
Seeing how he was stunned just confirmed it.
Looking at Shoji Kaina spoke up for the first time as she said, "When you said he was a newbie, I doubted that he could do something like this in the very first time, but I was wrong, he did it perfectly well." said Kaina with a satisfied smile as she looked up and down to size shoji up.
"Meet her Shoji, She's Lady Nagant, my teacher, my lover, and former assassin of the infamous Hero Public Safety Commission," said Izuku introducing Kaina.
When Shoji looked in her direction, Kaina just nodded, staying in Izuku's embrace with an obsessive look in her eyes.
Shoji understood what that obsession meant, but what shocked him the most was the name Hero Public Safety Commission he was very shocked as he asked, "Hero Public Safety Commission has an assassin?" shock filled in his words.
"Here we go," said Kaina, rolling her eyes.
"Shoji kun, wouldn't it be naive to think the HPSC doesn't have its own way of dealing with certain... unconventional threats?" said Izuku.
Shoji's face contorted in surprise as Izuku's words hit him like a sucker punch. The dawn glinted off his multi-limbed form, momentarily obscuring the shock in his eyes.
He had initially believed in justice and their policy of heroes not killing the villains, but when the heteromorphs were discriminated against and oppressed he started harboring mistrust for the Hero Public Safety Commission, the organization seemingly built on upholding justice while perpetuating the very discrimination he and his kind-faced, yet did not do anything at all.
But the idea of them employing an assassin, someone operating in the shadows to eliminate "unconventional threats"? That sent a shiver down his spine.
"Unconventional threats," he echoed, his voice gravelly with disbelief. "You mean like... heteromorphs who step out of line? People who question their authority?"
Izuku just nodded.
"To think they had an assassin with them who did their killings while people who were oppressed could not even use their quirks for self-defense, and they even killed a few heteromorphs who oppressed the authority," said Shoji as anger started welling up in him.
He started realizing how fucked up the world he lived in was, and the level of corruption involved in it, the facade of this world was slowly dropping from Shoji's face, and strangely enough, Shoji started understanding that what Izuku was doing was correct, now his methods didn't seem outrageous, infact he thought they deserve it.
Now there was a wild rush of adrenaline and he wanted to kill more and more such people, then Shoji looked at Izuku as he asked, "You said she's a former assassin, is she no longer an assassin there?"
"Nope, She got betrayed and left them," said Izuku caressing Kaina's head.
"If she's a former assassin, how did they let her go from there? If the HPSC is corrupt, wouldn't they not risk letting her go, with the risk that she might reveal everything about them?" Asked Shoji.
"Yup, she's a rogue with the bounty of SSS+ rank and shoot-at-sight order," said Izuku nonchalantly.
"And she's alright with it? I mean how did she escape and stay hidden?" asked Shoji.
"Let's say she was lucky enough to find someone smart enough who was able to protect her when she was surrounded by people who have muscles for the brain," said Izuku.
And before Shoji could ask anyone questions, Izuku changed the topic and he said, "Okay enough with this, the sun is about to rise, let's complete the final thing and prepare a display for this city's people," said Izuku.
He gestured to the bodies around them. "These officers are just the first domino to fall. More will follow, each death a message to the city that the old way is dead. We will be the new order, and those who oppose us will face the same fate as these." Said Izuku with his hands wide apart like villains do when telling the heroes their grand plans to destroy the world.
As the sun rose, signifying a new day, the city awoke not to some good news or a new day to be better than yesterday but to the horrifying news.
The bodies of the officers were found spiked on all the iron spikes of the gate of the police station, each with a set of papers attached to their chests, their heads missing and a chilling message scrawled on the outside walls of the police station with huge words written in red liquid, to be exact blood, and the blood belonged to non-other than those very policemen that were hanging above the same walls, as the words said: "Next will be you."
And along with this message was a name written a name which was going to cause fear to everyone in the Fukuoka Prefecture, again with the blood was written the name, "By order of Thanatos, the Symbol Of Fear,"
What followed next was the live telecast of Shoji beheading these policemen, however, this telecast was done only in Fukuoka Prefecture and nowhere else in Japan.
The video showed in HD showing Shoji sticking the corruption files on the chests of police officers following the beheading, and all of them could see clearly that it was Shoji who did it, using his heteromorphic hands and limbs.
The city was gripped by fear and paranoia. People were afraid to leave their homes, afraid to speak out against the heteromorphs, afraid of what might happen next.
As majority of the people who saw it knew well that they had somewhere in their life discriminated against Heteromorphs, and now that Shoji a heteromorph had done this killing, and said "Next will be you" and all of them knew who Shoji was implying, they knew someone else was also there who shot the video, and they thought that it would also be a heteromorph.
This means some heteromorphs were going around killing people and the first person who they attacked was none other than the local authorities whom they were dependent on for their protection.
And if the authorities were getting killed now could they say for sure that they would be safe, they didn't think about pro heroes blinded by fear, but isn't that right as well, for if someone was able to kill all these policemen that is total 32 policemen in one night and even spike them in the very police station they worked in, beheaded them, stick these papers while also leaving a message behind for others, that too within just 10 hrs, right under the nose of these pro heroes, yet they didn't even know what happened or who did it, it was obvious that they felt fear.
