Chapter 150:- Hero Internships and Meeting Ochako's Parents

After the excitement of the sports festival had settled, the teachers gathered the students to declare the results and discuss the upcoming hero internships. Vlad King stood at the front of the room, his imposing figure commanding attention.

"Congratulations to all the participants of the sports festival," Vlad King began, his voice booming across the room. "You have shown remarkable skill and determination throughout the tournament."

He paused, his gaze sweeping over the students before settling on Toji. "And a special congratulations to Toji Yamikumo for emerging victorious in the sports festival. Your performance was exceptional, and all the heroes are eager to have you join them for the hero internship."

Toji's chest swelled with pride at the praise, as a small smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. He nodded in acknowledgment, his eyes glinting with confidence.

"As for the rest of you," Vlad King continued, "the hero internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain real-world experience and further hone your skills. I encourage each of you to give it your all and make the most of this opportunity, as for those who didn't get any, don't worry, UA will provide you."

The room was excited as the students absorbed the news, anticipation coursing through their veins. The hero internship was the next step in their journey toward becoming true heroes, and they were ready to seize the opportunity with both hands.

In Class 1-A, Maki and Momo received praise for their exceptional performance in the sports festival. Aizawa Sensei lauded their skills and dedication, acknowledging their hard work and their smartness in knowing when to quit.

On the other hand, Bakugo was warned to control his temper. Aizawa Sensei emphasized the importance of managing emotions, especially in tense situations, and how his lack of control over his emotions was the reason he played right in Toji's hands and ultimately lost the match. Bakugo's frustration was evident, his jaw clenched tightly, and his fists trembling with restrained anger.

Beside him, Kazuki shared Bakugo's irritation, his teeth gritted as he contained his own frustration.

Meanwhile, Shoto sat quietly, lost in contemplation. His expression was inscrutable, his mind seemingly preoccupied with deep thoughts.

In Class 1-A, the rest of the students listened attentively as the teachers delivered their feedback.

Some students nodded in agreement with the praise for Maki and Momo, recognizing their impressive performances. Others exchanged glances, silently acknowledging Bakugo's struggle with his temper.

Among them, a few whispered words of encouragement to Bakugo, urging him to stay calm and focused.

As for Shoto, his classmates noticed his thoughtful demeanor but didn't pry into his thoughts, respecting his privacy.

After school, Ochako and her parents met Toji outside the school gates. Ochako's parents greeted Toji warmly, congratulating him for his win in the sports festival.

Ochako, who wasn't aware of what was happening, and why they were waiting for Toji, kept quiet as her parents then turned to their daughter, offering some words of advice. "Ochako, make sure to behave yourself around Toji and learn from him."

Ochako nodded eagerly, promising to do her best. "I will, Mom, Dad."

As Ochako walked home with her friends, Ochako's father glanced at Toji with a grateful expression. "You know, Toji San, I never got the chance to properly thank you for what you did for us." Ochako's father said, his voice filled with sincerity. "We truly appreciate it."

Ochako's mother nodded in agreement. "Yes, thank you so much, for everything you have done for us, we will be forever indebted to you."

Toji shrugged, "It was nothing,"

But Ochako's father insisted, "No, it meant a lot to us. When I was going through a rough patch with my business, you were there to help. You saved me from making a big mistake, from falling in my daughter's eyes."

(Flashback no Jutsu)

A month ago, in the streets of Mie, a particular empty street in the corner of an alley was filled with dead bodies, as Izuku dressed as Thanatos slaughtered them all.

However, there was one witness to this, who on seeing the slaughter, screamed, "Ahhhhhhhhhhh"

Which diverted Thanatos's attention towards him.

He simply snapped the last man's head and threw him on the pile of dead bodies.

Seeing Thanatos approach, the man freaked out, as he tried to run away, but lost his balance and fell on the ground, with the bag in his hand falling as well, revealing a pile of cash.

Toji used this moment and teleported right in front of the man, as he asked, "Who are you? Where did you get this pile of cash?"

"I-i-i-i am Takeshi Ochako," said Uraraka's dad as he stammered like crazy.

Thanatos towered over Takeshi Ochako, his gaze piercing through the man's trembling form. "Where did you get this cash? Did you steal it?" he demanded, his voice low and threatening.

"No, it's mine," said Takeshi, still stammering.

But Thanatos wasn't buying it. He pressed on, his tone unyielding. "Where did you get this cash?" he repeated, his eyes narrowing.

Takeshi hesitated, his breaths coming in ragged gasps. Finally, he confessed, "I-I stole it."

"Why did you steal it?" Thanatos pressed, his voice cold and unforgiving.

Takeshi's words spilled out in a rush, his desperation evident. "My business isn't going well. My contractor betrayed me, and canceled the project at the last moment, after I used all my lifetime savings, this was the biggest project of my life, so I used my everything to get it done. When I asked for a rebate, I was kicked out of his office. I had no choice but to steal the money to ensure my family survives."

Thanatos listened to Takeshi's explanation, his expression unreadable. After a moment of silence, he spoke, his voice softer this time. "Are you telling the truth?"

"Y-y-yes, my daughter, she wants to become a hero, and I want to make sure she achieves her dream, even if I have to steal money for it," said Takeshi as he got some hidden strength to face Thanatos when his daughter came in his mind.

"Your daughter wants to be a hero?" Asked Thanatos.

"Yes," said Takeshi Ochako.

"Do you know who these were?" asked Thanatos.

"No," said Takeshi.

"All these are pro heroes, I kill heroes," said Thanatos.

Listening to this, Takeshi had a cold sweat run across his whole body, as fear crept up on him.

"These guys were a stain to the name of a hero, so they died. If you don't want your daughter to also lay dead like these men, make sure she becomes worthy of being called a hero," said Thanatos.

Takeshi for an instant saw his dear daughter lying dead like these heroes, as he screamed, "Noooooo, please don't kill my daughter, I promise she will become a true hero," screamed Takeshi as he begged for his daughter's life, as he had clutched Thanatos's legs tightly pleading.

"Don't worry I won't spill unnecessary blood, as for you, I'll let you off the hook this time, but make sure not to repeat it, think about your daughter, how will she think when she finds out you have turned into a thief, I'll help you set up your business again, stop stealing or you will the next person whose lying dead like them.

With a nod, Thanatos disappeared into the shadows, leaving Takeshi Ochako behind, his mind reeling with the weight of his actions and the unexpected mercy shown to him by the dark figure known as Thanatos.

After that, Izuku provided money to Takeshi Ochako as a form of order and helped him get his business back on track.

(Flashback Ends)

Toji's expression remained stoic as he said, "I remember, I hope your daughter knows what she's going to do to become a hero, btw how did you know it was me?" his tone became serious in the last part?

"How can I forget you Toji San, I recognized by your actions and especially those red eyes," said Takeshi as he had a grateful expression on his face, "And don't worry I won't reveal anything about you to anyone" continued Takeshi.

"Whose worrying? You reveal about me and your daughter dies, I lose nothing," said Toji as if it was the natural answer.

Ochako's parents had serious looks on their faces, their backs stiff, and cold sweat running down their spine, as they said, "We promise we won't tell anyone about you,"

"I'll never forget what you did for us," Ochako's mother continued, her voice sincere. "Thank you for sparing my husband and helping us get our business back on track, and I promise, we'll pay you back as soon as we can."

But Toji shook his head. "There's no need for that. I did what I did because you guys were just concerned about your family's survival."

Ochako's father nodded solemnly, understanding the significance of Toji's request. "I promise, I'll do everything in my power to instill good values in Ochako, as well as help you in any way possible."

"If you really want to help me, then do this," said Toji as he whispered something in Takeshi Ochako's ear, which caused him to go pale.

"Do I really have to do this? Asked Takeshi Ochako

"If you want to help me, this is what you can do," said Toji as he said, "The choice is yours, this is something very easy, and if you start now, by the time I actually need it, you will not have to risk your life in doing something out of your capabilities," said Toji, as he went home.

As the Ochako parents walked home together, Ochako remained unaware of the secret between her father and Toji.
