Before the explosion could even start, everyone was already outside, with Zaylifer standing in front of them and in deep focus.

Delving deep into the innermost reaction of the flame and its reason for existence, combustion, Zaylifer turned each and every one of them off.

However, some had already ignited, and although he could control the heat and contain the flame, the wind or shockwave was out of his control.

Even outside, everyone still felt the huge gust of wind, saw the shattering of glass, and witnessed some parts of the academy crumble.

Following that was a stream of fire charging in their direction, causing a bout of screams that quickly quieted down as the flames converged in front of one man.

"Sleep," he commanded. As he spoke, the flames fizzled away. However, two people came over.

The first person was Raven. "You okay?" she asked. The second person, with stunning orange flaming hair, a curvy athletic figure, a cute small face, and beautiful emerald eyes, asked, "Aren't you afraid?" at almost the same time.

"We've got company," Zaylifer added as helicopters landed and soldiers rushed out.

Seeing weapons of unknown origin, Zaylifer spared no effort in blowing each one up along with the soldier carrying it.

With a perception faster than most, Zaylifer was surprised that the fast guy would have been hit by that blast.

Shaking his head while walking past the innocent children, Zaylifer stood in front of the two soldiers left alive.

"Point me in the general direction of your base," commanded Zaylifer.

Yet both men didn't even flinch. So Zaylifer snapped, and a bolt fell, vaporizing the man on the right.

Before the man on the left could react, he watched Zaylifer pluck the bolt out of mid-air, condense it to about a meter, and point it at his manhood.

"It's that way," the man said as if he was born for this moment.

Turning his head, Zaylifer immediately telescoped his domain, which zoned into a straight line reaching far out into the unseeable.

Locating the base, he expanded the domain in that area and saw everything and everyone.

However, only one person caught Zaylifer's interest.

"Logan," Zaylifer said under his breath. Like a heat-seeking missile, the bolt vanished and reappeared right beside Logan, pulling the man-beast out of his beast mode.

"Your real name is James Howlett. I, Zaylifer, hope you find what you're looking for." With those final words, the lightning carved out a hole for Logan to escape.

Then it vanished, only to reappear as a bolt of lightning descending onto the man on the left, vaporizing him instantly.

"To fear is okay, to be afraid is natural, to freeze, fight, or run is in our nature. However, the power you have, no matter how weak or small the control, is your power and not the other way around.

I hope that answers your question, girl with no name," Zaylifer answered the readhead while walking towards Raven.

"I'm okay, didn't know you cared so much," Zaylifer jabbed.

"I should say that. After all, I've never been put down so gently before," Raven jabbed back, slightly used to Zaylifer's playful words.

"I'll be rough next time," Zaylifer added while taking a seat.

Unknowingly, everyone else also followed suit and sat down, quite close to Zaylifer, as if awaiting his next command.
