Marvel: The Foundation

The MCU is already a perilous realm, fraught with danger at every turn. But for a crimelord like myself, it's a whole other level of risk, especially with heroes lurking around every corner. And if that weren't daunting enough, now I have to contend with the added uncertainty of encountering at least one completely random SCP every month. How many of these anomalies would it take to trigger an XK-class event? Well, here's hoping I get some favorable ones, allowing me not only to survive but also to flourish in this treacherous environment.

SCP-3199 -147

As the joint forces of SHIELD and the Bulwark moved into position, the coordinated effort was a sight to behold. Convoys of armored vehicles, transport helicopters, and troops surged towards the identified hotspots, where the SCP-3199 creatures had been reported.

The tension in the air was palpable, but so was the determination. Steve, Peggy, and Buggy, now disguised and integrated with the Bulwark operatives, felt a renewed sense of purpose. Their mission was clear: to contain and eradicate the monstrous threat, ensuring the safety of humanity.

Steve was still both amazed and shocked at the disguises they had made from the three of them. It was so very strange to look at who he knew to be Peggy, but rather than seeing the woman he had fallen for, he saw a big black man.

Well, Buggy and himself had also become black men since, apparently, none would look at a black man and see Captain America; he wasn't about to agree with that, but neither could he really argue.

"These SCPs are really crazy." He muttered to himself, though clearly too loud since Peggy at his side had heard him.

"Yeah, you don't say, it's so strange being a guy; I can't wait for the effect to end."

The three of them were under the effect of SCP-034, which allowed them to take on the appearance of someone else. They were doing the duration a perfect copy; even their DNA wouldn't show anything unusual.

That did come with a cost, mainly from the people whose appearance they were using; those poor D-class had to endure being skinned alive, with wounds that would never heal. Yeah, they wouldn't survive this, but such was the price, and it was one the Foundation was willing to pay.

Steve would never have agreed to such a thing, but he didn't have to know; he was, after all, little more than just a tool for the Foundation, and unless Alexander ever decided he should be more, that was all he would be.

"It sure is lively around here." He said, trying to strike up a conversation with Peggy. He knew she wasn't comfortable with having been turning into a man, so he wanted to try to get her attention off of it.

"That it is, though it will likely only get far more lively once the attack begins," Peggy replied, her eyes scanning the area.

Their conversation was cut short by the sudden approach of someone else. "Captain, you will be in charge of a small team. Come and join the team leader briefing." The man, like most Foundation personnel, didn't waste time and immediately started to walk away again after saying his bit.

Forcing Steve to bid Peggy and Buggy goodbye quickly. He rushed to follow the man back to where the briefing would be given.

Steve led the team toward the position they had been given. The men and women under him were a mix of Shield and Foundation personnel, or well, Bulwark, as they were calling themselves here.

Steve did understand the need for it; after all, Shield was filled with Hydra. So part of his mission, other than finding and eliminating every instance of SCP-3199 he could find and drop trackers at every egg, was to make sure that Hydra didn't steal any.

The briefing had been intense. The Foundation personnel had detailed the plan with military precision. They were to split into several teams, each targeting a different hotspot where SCP-3199 activity had been detected. Steve's team was assigned to one of the densest areas, a location where the creatures had been seen frequently.

They got into position, ready and just waiting for the signal that would mean they were good to go. These creatures seemed to not be breeding nearly as fast as they should, and the current theory was that it was due to their lack of threats.

This meant that as soon as the attack began, they would start laying eggs as quickly as they could. The goal was to stop them, killing as many as possible and as quickly as possible to minimize the number of eggs they would have to deal with.

"Alright, remember, shoot to kill, don't give them a chance to get away or lay more eggs, and try not to use explosives unless necessary; it will cause the eggs to hatch." He reminded the team one final time, though mostly the Shield part, given that the Foundation personnel had no doubt been briefed multiple times already.

Steve's voice echoed through the earpieces of his team as they took their positions, nerves coiled tight like springs ready to snap. He scanned the dense forest, every sense on high alert for any sign of movement. His team, a blend of seasoned SHIELD agents and stoic Foundation operatives, mirrored his readiness.

The silence was shattered by the first crackle of gunfire from a nearby unit, signaling the beginning of the operation. The forest erupted into chaos as SCP-3199 creatures, grotesque and horrifying, surged from their hiding places, responding to the perceived threat with ferocious aggression.

"Engage!" Steve commanded, raising his shield as a creature lunged at him. His team opened fire, bullets tearing through the air and into the oncoming horrors. The creatures were fast and strong, but Steve's team's coordinated response held them at bay.

Steve moved with precision and strength, his shield a blur as it deflected blows and crushed bones. The creatures' shrieks filled the air, blending with the sounds of gunfire and the shouts of commands. Despite the chaos, Steve's focus was unbroken. He caught sight of an SCP-3199 trying to lay an egg and rushed forward, dispatching it with a powerful blow.

"Keep them from laying eggs!" he shouted, glancing back to ensure his team was holding the line. The Foundation operatives worked with practiced efficiency, while the SHIELD agents followed suit, their training evident in every move.

Amid the battle, Steve spotted Peggy—now in her disguised form—holding her ground with unwavering determination. She moved with lethal grace, her every action calculated to maximize damage while minimizing risk. Buggy was nearby, his metal arm a deadly weapon against the creatures.

The creatures were smart. While some attacked them, others took advantages of the fighting to flee, no doubt wanting to make it somewhere safer where they could start throwing up eggs in peace.

Despite their efforts, the creatures' numbers seemed unending. Steve could see the toll it was taking on his team, their movements growing more desperate as fatigue set in. Yet, they pushed on, driven by the knowledge that failure was not an option.

----------------------

Another team was also battling the monstrous creatures in another position. This team was also led by Foundation personnel, and a few members kept a sharp eye on the Shield people even while they fought and advanced their positions.

They made sure that every egg and every corpse was marked with trackers, their helmet cams relying on everything they saw in real-time to a team of analysts who had the task of counting how many eggs and creatures they encountered.

This is to ensure that by the end of this mission, they would have a good idea of the number of eggs they should have and that if they didn't have enough, they would know where to look.

In this particular team, Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton, two of Shield's most skilled agents, were fighting; both used guns for this, though Clint did have a bow on his back if he had need of it.

Natasha's efficiency was unmatched. Her movements were a deadly dance, each step and strike perfectly executed. She kept a close watch on the other Shield personnel, not forgetting about her true allegiance to the Foundation.

She was well aware that they had gotten Orders from Fury to try and secure an egg or two; she had no doubt that Hydra was doing the same thing. So, she had to keep a close eye on that and try to ensure that particular mission failed.

Clint, too, was a fury on the battlefield; he easily showed off his marksmanship as he snipped the monsters from far away. Even when he didn't use his bow, he was still deadly. Those two, and the three members of Captain America's team were the most killed for sure.

Not that the Foundation didn't have plenty of people with that level of skill, simply that they didn't want to display them, nor did they feel the need to do so. For while SCP-3199 was dangerous, they weren't that hard to put down.

The real problem was their number. They had estimated around 50000-60000 of them, which was enough to really cause problems given how fast they could reproduce if they got started.

It was entirely possible that if they couldn't stop them here, that only nuclear weapons could be used to try and cut down their number. Though even that was slightly risky due to them growing faster under heat.

However, the heat released from a nuclear bomb going off should still be enough to vaporize any creature and egg within the fireball.

The battle raged on, and despite the initial chaos, the combined forces of SHIELD and the Bulwark began to make headway. The relentless waves of SCP-3199 were slowly but surely being thinned out. Steve's shield was battered, and his muscles ached, but he pressed on, leading by example.

"Stay focused! We're almost through this!" he called out, rallying his team.

Peggy, still adapting to her disguise, fought fiercely by his side. Buggy, with his metal arm, was a force of nature, tearing through the creatures with brutal efficiency. The Foundation operatives provided unwavering support, their stoic precision balancing the dynamic tactics of the SHIELD agents.

As they cleared the immediate area, Steve took a moment to survey the battlefield. "Status report," he barked into his comm.

"All clear on my end," Peggy responded, her voice steady despite the exhaustion.

"Same here," Buggy added. "But we need to keep moving. We can't let any of them escape."

Steve nodded, even though they couldn't see him. "Agreed. Let's push forward and make sure the job is done."

-------------------

Elsewhere, Natasha and Clint continued their vigilant watch. Clint's arrows and bullets found their marks with lethal accuracy, while Natasha deftly dispatched any creature that got too close. Her primary concern, however, remained on preventing any unauthorized acquisition of SCP-3199 eggs.

A sudden movement caught her eye—one of the SHIELD agents, a Hydra operative in disguise, was attempting to secure an egg. With lightning speed, Natasha intervened, her silenced pistol ensuring the agent never got the chance to complete his mission.

Clint noticed the commotion and raised an eyebrow. "Trouble?"

"Nothing I can't handle," Natasha replied coolly. "Let's keep moving."

He clearly remained suspicious, but in all the chaos, he couldn't be fully certain about what had happened, so since Natasha was someone who he trusted, he naturally gave her the benefit of the doubt.

As the sun began to set, signaling the end of the day's brutal engagement, the remaining forces regrouped. The bodies of SCP-3199 were piled high, and the exhausted but victorious operatives took a moment to catch their breath.

"Good work, everyone," Steve said, his voice heavy with both weariness and pride. "We've contained the threat for now, but we need to remain vigilant. This isn't over yet."

Peggy and Buggy nodded in agreement, their disguises still intact but their spirits lifted by the day's success. They knew that the fight against SCP-3199 was just one battle in a larger war against the unknown threats lurking in the shadows.

-------------

Though even as the last instance of SCP-3199 died, the job was far from over. For while the risks were minimized by now. An estimated 80000-90000 eggs needed to be contained and disposed of.

Something that was still risky as some eggs might hatch at any moment, not to mention there were plenty of people around willing to kill for an egg.

The cleanup operation began immediately. Foundation personnel, equipped with specialized containment units, moved swiftly to collect and secure the SCP-3199 eggs. Each egg was meticulously tracked and cataloged, ensuring that none went unaccounted for. The eggs were then transported to secure facilities where they could be safely neutralized.

Steve, Peggy, and Buggy, still in their disguises, assisted with the containment efforts. Despite the day's success, the tension remained high. The knowledge that any misstep could lead to a catastrophic outbreak kept everyone on edge.

"Remember, handle these with extreme care," Steve instructed his team as they carefully loaded the containment units. "We can't afford any mistakes."

Peggy glanced around, noting the intense focus of everyone involved. "How long do you think it'll take to secure all of them?" she asked.

"Hard to say," Steve replied. "But we need to stay vigilant until the last egg is accounted for."
