Marvel: The Foundation

The MCU is already a perilous realm, fraught with danger at every turn. But for a crimelord like myself, it's a whole other level of risk, especially with heroes lurking around every corner. And if that weren't daunting enough, now I have to contend with the added uncertainty of encountering at least one completely random SCP every month. How many of these anomalies would it take to trigger an XK-class event? Well, here's hoping I get some favorable ones, allowing me not only to survive but also to flourish in this treacherous environment.

Omniverse theory -197

Alexander was satisfied with the chance to talk with Tharnock, though he had much work to do and far too little time.

He still had plenty of work to do, plans to make, and evil plans to come up with. And for too little involvement with anything that touched onto the vast Marvel universe.

There were countless interesting people out there: heroes, villains, aliens, and much, much more. Yet he wasn't out there throwing firsts with or against Captain America or tinkering around in a lap side-by-side with Tony Stark.

He didn't even dress up in some shitty mask and go out to beat up small-time criminals! He was more or less breaking every unwritten rule about being transmigrated into a fantasy world!

Then again, Alexander was well aware that he wasn't the normal type of such incident. He wasn't just someone from a higher world, but likely someone from two worlds mixing together. Or at least that was his current theory.

Thanks to SCP-3812, the Foundation had a good idea of how the infinite omniverse worked.

The Marvel Universe might be a multiverse, and even the original SCP universe was likely one due to the many SCPs that seemed to involve parallel universes.

Yet, with SCP-3812's knowledge, they were able to learn so much more. There were layers to the multiverse, with higher levels of dimensions on top of others. Each level higher contained countless lower ones within them.

In a higher dimension, something like Marvel was just fiction, yet inside the Marvel universe, it was all real. This allowed Alexander to fully confirm the way the universe, or rather the omniverse worked.

An infinite amount of near-identical universes, such as the Marvel multiverse, they all ran on the same baseline concept and just had small differences, such as a universe where Tony stark learned magic, and one where he didn't

Then there were the levels above that, which were higher levels of universes where everyone was a god in a lower one. They were able to treat the lower universe as if it were nothing but fiction.

Then there were levels above that; it wasn't yet known how many levels there were, or where in the grand scheme of things the SCP universe had been. But Alexanders' current theory was that the soul he had somehow merged with was from a higher-level universe.

That would explain why that soul and that Alex knew about events in the Marvel and SCP universes and believed them to be fictional.

Sadly, that information wasn't much use for Alexander since he had no way of traveling to a higher level. He was just stuck in a universe, a multiverse, and had to deal with things the normal way—without using some god-like author powers.

Still, it wasn't much of a problem, even without that, Alexander, as O5-1 had powers many would consider god-like, or at least if they considered someone like Thor and Loki as gods.

Alexander, too, had a long life, even if, due to the ring of life, or waters of youth, he could make illusions; he was stronger, faster, and smarter than a normal person. He had all around been enhanced and elevated above the baseline human.

Even then, he had to admit, he was very fascinated by the whole appearing into another universe scenario he found himself in. It gave him a unique perspective and a strange sense of purpose.

As he pondered these thoughts, his communicator buzzed. It was a message from one of his trusted aides.

"O5-1, we have an update on SCP-3844's containment. Tharnock has been cooperative, and the MTF has secured the area. We are ready for your next directive."

Alexander allowed himself a small smile. Tharnock's cooperation was a good sign. It meant fewer resources would be needed to keep the dragon under control, allowing him to allocate them to other pressing matters.

"Excellent," he replied. "Continue to monitor the situation. I want regular updates on Tharnock's status and any other anomalies that may arise. Make sure the MTF knows to treat him with respect. We want to keep this relationship amicable."

"Understood, sir," the aide responded.

Alexander ended the call and turned his attention back to the myriad of tasks awaiting him. He had a universe to manage, after all. And while he might not be out there fighting alongside or against superheroes, he was playing a much larger game. One that required careful planning, strategic thinking, and the ability to adapt to an ever-changing landscape.

He leaned back in his chair, contemplating his next move. The Foundation was a powerful entity, but it was not infallible. There were always threats, both external and internal, that needed to be addressed. And with the knowledge he possessed, he was uniquely positioned to guide them through the challenges ahead.

As he mapped out his next steps, his thoughts drifted back to Natasha and her ongoing mission. She was a valuable asset, one he had invested a great deal in. Her success would be crucial to the Foundation's future operations.

"Stay safe, Natasha," he muttered to himself. "We have much work to do."

With that, Alexander refocused his attention on the tasks at hand, ready to face whatever the omniverse threw at him next.

-------------------

Time passed on without a pause, or at least if the Ancient one paused time, Alexander wasn't aware of it. So he just kept on working, doing one piece of his endless paperwork at a time, guiding the Foundation and his own private assets around where he needed them.

Two new SCP objects were identified and contained, or in the case of SCP-610, contained as much as it could be. That damned flesh was hard more difficult to get rid of than it had any right to be.

Still, with that handled, he felt confident going into the next set of summons, and while he didn't particularly need to time them to be once a month, he preferred to do it that way, at least until he had the situation under better control.

If he ever reached the state where he had all objects that could be contained, contained and all the others under control he might just summon more as fast as they could be contained. That was the goal at least.

Solomon's wisdom wasn't all-powerful, even Solomon himself hadn't been so, which meant that it would be better to deal with the SCPs kept back by it as fast as possible before they broke free on their own.

For now, though, he just kept with the schedule from the start and summoned another two SCPs as the first came around once again.

[Ding! Warning! SCP-963 has appeared!]

The moment Alexander saw which SCP had appeared he immediately lost his composure and shot up from his seat, staring hard at the system interface floating in front of his eyes. Now this object was one of immense value.

Immortality!

Even Alexander, who was very much alive even today, more than two thousand years since his birth, didn't dare call himself immortal; even Odin, the all-father, wasn't immortal. Heck, in the entire Marvel Universe, there weren't many beings that could claim to be immortal.

And there were beings able to creature entire galaxies going around. Yet, all of them could still be killed, Immortality was truly something rare. Something all of the O5 council wanted for themselves.

Which was why countless attempts had been made to reset SCP-963 or reproduce it, yet all had ended in failure. If Alexander could get his hands on it, well he wouldn't have to worry about his own safety ever again.

Heck, even Thanos and his snap wouldn't scare him one bit. So Yes, Alexander didn't pay much attention to the rest of the useless information he was given by the system. No rewards it could give could compare to SCP-963.

"How to get it?" he couldn't help but ask out loud as he started to think more deeply about it.

Sitting down again he sunk into deep thought. After all, the effects of SCP-963 were well known within the Foundation today, far different from when a young Dr Bright wore it back then.

Plenty of people would want to have it for themselves, even his most trusted people might be tempted to keep it. After all, if they used it, if they became immortal, he couldn't really do much about it.

Sure, he could inflict pain onto them, torture them to death over and over again, but his best men and women didn't really fear pain and torture. Ghost for one wouldn't hesitate to use the amulet.

Which meant that Alexander had to be smart about how to find it, but he also had to be fast, he couldn't allow anyone else to find it before he did.

The question of whatever Dr Bright was connected to it still remained unanswered, but on the chance that he wasn't, on the small chance that it was unbound, he couldn't allow some random fool to use it.

"Who to use." He whispered as he went over everyone he could think of. Someone like Steve Rogers might be a good option, someone too righteous to use it himself. Plus he didn't know about it either.

Still, Roger and his friends were far from enough to find it on their own… perhaps he could send the widows out; they shouldn't be aware of its powers and could be scared into believing it to be highly dangerous.

They might work hard if given such an important mission; as far as he knew, they were all eager to serve. To prove themselves to the Foundation, particularly after it had been proven that the Foundation could regrow their wombs and reproductive organs, making them fertile once more.

It was the perfect carrot for them, something that wasn't too expensive to grant them either. "Yes, I believe its finally time the widows are given some attention, and for them to prove that the effort expanded onto them was all worth it." Alexander said with a smile as he quickly started to draft some plans.

[City Streets]

SCP-105, also known as Iris Thompson, stumbled through the bustling streets, her mind a whirlwind of confusion and fear. One moment, she had been in her containment cell, the sterile walls of the Foundation her only company. The next, she found herself here, amidst the noise and chaos of the city.

She pressed her back against a brick wall, her breathing shallow and rapid. The sun was too bright, the sounds too loud. People moved around her, oblivious to her distress. She tried to gather her thoughts, but everything felt disjointed, like pieces of a puzzle that didn't quite fit together.

"What's happening?" she whispered to herself, her voice trembling.

Iris looked down at her hands, half expecting to see the camera that was usually her companion. It wasn't there. Panic started to set in. She didn't understand how she had gotten here, and without her camera, she felt even more vulnerable.

She tried to remember the last thing that had happened before she found herself here. She had been sitting in her cell, contemplating the monotonous routine of her containment. There had been no warning, no indication that something was about to happen. Just a sudden, disorienting shift.

A man brushed past her, muttering an apology as he continued on his way. Iris flinched at the brief contact, her nerves on edge. She needed to find a place to think, to figure out what was going on. She needed to find somewhere safe.

Her eyes scanned the area, searching for anything familiar, but nothing stood out. The city was alien to her, a maze of streets and buildings that offered no solace. She started walking, hoping that movement might help clear her mind.

As she walked, she caught snippets of conversations, the sounds of car horns, the distant wail of a siren. It all felt overwhelming. She wanted to scream, to demand answers from the world around her, but she knew it would do no good.

She turned a corner and found herself in a quieter part of the city. The noise level dropped slightly, and she took a moment to breathe, to try and steady herself. She leaned against a lamppost, closing her eyes and focusing on her breathing.

"Okay, Iris," she said to herself, her voice a little steadier now. "Think. There has to be a reason for this. There has to be a way to figure this out."

She opened her eyes and looked around again, this time more carefully. There was a small café across the street, its windows offering a view of empty tables and a counter lined with pastries. It looked peaceful, a stark contrast to the chaos she felt inside.

Iris made her way to the café, her steps tentative. She pushed open the door, the bell above it jingling softly. The barista behind the counter looked up and gave her a friendly smile.

"Hi there! What can I get for you?" the barista asked.

Iris forced a smile in return, though it felt strained. "Just a coffee, please."

As the barista prepared her drink, Iris found a seat by the window. She sat down, her hands trembling slightly as she tried to process everything. She needed to figure out what had happened, how she had ended up here, and most importantly, how to get back.

The barista brought over her coffee, and she thanked him quietly. She took a sip, the warmth of the drink providing a small measure of comfort. As she looked out the window, she resolved to find answers, no matter how long it took.

'First things first,' she thought to herself. 'I need to find out if the Foundation is still around. If they are, I have to get back in contact, or they won't be pleased at all once they do find me.'

She still had her trusty old camera, and the weight around her neck was a familiar comfort. So she should be able to take care of herself for a bit, still, she couldn't help but be nervous. After all, as someone who knew about some of the horrors the Foundation deals with, she couldn't help but be scared at the thought of one of those having messed with her.
