Chapter 45: Ancient One

"177A Bleecker Street, Greenwich Village. This is the place." Law thought as he looked at the massive building.

He was not wearing his usual costume. He just had Benihime in his hands in her cane form.

After arriving at the door of the Sanctum and calming his excitement a bit he knocked. Soon the door opened and a bald man appeared in front of him.

"Uhh... I'm here to meet with the Ancient One. Do I need to schedule an appointment?" He looked weirdly at the bald man, more at his bald head and less at the man's face.

'I am not shaving my head even if it costs me the price of not learning the magic. No never.' He said to himself as he imagined himself Bald. He shivered at the thought of that.

The bald man too looked weirdly at the young man in front of him. He didn't know why but he felt a threat from him and a pressure that he felt from only the Ancient one.

He did not know how this man knew about Ancient one and why he wanted to meet her so he decided to tell the Ancient one about this man.

"I will go and ask if she wants to meet you. Please wait here for a minute." The bald man was about to shut the door but a voice sounded behind him

"It's fine Master Drumm. I will meet this young man. You can go back. I will take him to the Kamar-Taj."

Law looked at the one who spoke and it was none other than the Ancient one in her full glory with a gentle smile on her face.

No one would be able to tell that this feeble lady is an old granny protecting earth for centuries and is also one of the most powerful beings on Earth.

"This way Mr?" Ancient one asked his name to which Law replied "You can call me Law Cromwell but my business name is The death Surgeon." He said proudly

"Very well, Mr. Cromwell. Follow me. We will talk on a cup of tea. I have a lot to talk with you." Ancient one said

'This confirms that she can't see my future or about me as she didn't know my name.'

'Now that I think about it, wasn't Strange a surgeon too?' Law was broken out of his thoughts as the ancient one led him through a portal to the Kamar Taj in Kathmandu, Nepal.

While he was walking with her his gaze locked with the famous eye of Agamotto which held one of the six infinity stones, the time stone. He wanted to study it and even have it. The power to turn back time and see the future who doesn't want these powers?

He looked at it for a few seconds before turning his head back as he didn't want to stare at it too much unless the Ancient one misunderstood that he was looking at her chest with desire.

Ancient One was currently drinking tea thinking about the unusual events that have happened in the past year.

It all started about two years back. She couldn't see some parts of future and the others which she could see were changed.

She couldn't see what changed these futures and once she tried to pry using mystical powers, she was stopped and a terrifying pressure fell over her for less than a second before vanishing.

She was scared. The pressure was nothing she has ever felt before. She has felt the pressure of cosmic beings but it was thousands time more powerful than that.

She had a thought that the one who was stopping her from seeing the one who was changing the timeline was above all cosmic beings even above the watcher Uatu.

'The One above All' She surmised and before she could contemplate more about it she got a message from Vishanti to not pry much about this.

But the Ancient one was stubborn but wise too. Although she not could pry about the future. She decided to stalk the ones whose future have changed like Magneto, Charles Xavier and William Stryker.

After investigating the cause of the change, she finally got a leed that it was all due to a mercenary who goes by the name Death Surgeon.

But she couldn't find anything more about it and more about the identity of the mysterious mercenary.

She couldn't see the future of people that were close to Law, the future of these people and many more such people were blank.

The reason she couldn't see Peter's future, Emma's future and many other people that Law has a relationship with is because of One above all who wanted to protect Law's identity until Law wanted to reveal it himself.

While She was thinking about all this, she was alerted by a magic talisman that alerted her about the power levels of the people that visited Kamar Taj and it's branches. The reason for this was if there was some brave demon that was coming to Kamar Taj in some disguise she would automatically be alerted to deal with such situations.

Although this time it was not a demon but someone with a huge magic power.

She immediately created a portal towards the New York Sanctum. She saw the man who was responsible for the immense magic power.

She could tell he was as strong as her if not stronger not counting the power of the time stone.

She then asked him for his name and led him towards the Kamar Taj in Kathmandu for a chat.
