The Squirrel that Surrendered

Ming Yue was curious as to why she had to rest for a full year. Normally, she wouldn't need more than a few days to fully recover.

"Hah, it's not only for your recovery but training. Since your body is properly tempered to match your strength, you're going to need time to adjust. I'm sure that you'll be shocked by the difference", he told her.

The doctor took a step back and smiled before turning into motes of light and disappearing in front of her.

She slightly shifted around, turning to get off of the stone bed that returned to the ground.

Everything was quiet and Ming Yue just stood there. She looked down at herself, staring at the sword in her hand.

"Even when you're asleep, you're going to come out and protect me, huh."

Talking to the sword, the woman smiled before seeing a door appear before her.

"One year.... doesn't seem very long, now that I think about it."

She walked through the door, returning to the first floor.
