Mutual Destruction

The moment those words left her mouth, she pointed her sword down at the serpents. The clouds flashed and thundered as the spear of wind and lightning gathered more power!

"Storm Lance: Mortal Lightning."

It slowly emerged from the stirring black clouds before cracking down in almost an instant. And in anticipation of the attack, Cheng Wei pointed his spear at her, sending the ten serpents up. 

They rose out of the ground opening their mouths to roar out, facing off against this blinding strike. Their bodies twisted together transforming into one massive beast. 

And this great creation did manage to stop the spear from coming down. Both sides clashed in the air as the giant serpent attempted to swallow the spear!

Neither seemed to give in to the other. Even though the spear was stopped it was not broken yet. In fact, the serpent's body started to fade. Lightning arced out of the spear, striking and charring the wood.
