chapter 11- true monsters

nine years have passed since Sabo joined the revolutionary army. Since then Ace trained like a mad man to keep up with Sabo whenever he came back to visit. Sabo proved his strength in no time and by his second year already mastered both types of haki to beat Ace, and became the revolutionary army's chief of staff on his third.

Ace, in turn, tried to master both types to the limit to crush Sabo, and with me teaching him he made progress like no tomorrow, Ace and Sabo's rivalry pushed them to train harder and they became truly strong.

on Ace's thirteenth birthday, I found the flame-flame fruit and gave it to him as a present, and by found I mean located it with observation haki and flew to it. It took some time but Ace mastered his fruit and became even stronger. Sabo, in turn, trained his haki even more to counter Ace.

As the years flew by Ace and Sabo continued their rivalry but they learned a valuable lesson, in terms of power none of them is close to me. Ace learned this the hard way through all of his training, but Sabo turned arrogant after his first year in the revolutionary army and came to challenge my position as the strongest which was silently agreed upon when I first fought them.

Needless to say, he didn't do that stupid mistake again. Dragon and I also became closer over the years. When Dragon saw Ace's training result he asked me to try and teach some of their recruits as a test. But after a couple of my lessons, the new recruits were stronger than some of the veterans.

As a result, I taught more and more recruits until I accidentally became the chief of education. Now that I had responsibilities in the revolutionary army I attended meetings and helped to plan projects and missions, over just a couple of years the revolutionary army had built up its military force to a frightening level, not to mention all of the influence it got by sending spies to serve as high-level officials in many countries.

Finally, Ace reached sixteen and left on his journey to becoming the pirate king, the only differences is that he had many allies thanks to the connections of the revolutionary army, and instead of having the strength of a mear division commander Ace was now nearing the level of a yonko.

Honestly, I feel extremely sorry for anyone in the grand line that will have the balls to challenge him, however, I am curious about how white beard will deal with him now.

And so I spent the next three years training like crazy now that the most troublesome student has left on his journey, and I passed three years of extreme training so that I could still destroy Ace and Sabo if they ever challenged me for the position of the strongest.

*Start of the journey*

'It's finally time' I thought as I said goodbye to Dadan's bandits and the villagers. "Good luck Luffy" Sabo said, he and Dragon came to see me off. "Dad I left training programs in the base so until I find a comfortable way to come and train the recruits, use it", "I will" said Dragon with a somewhat proud look in his eyes.

"then I'm off" I said as I finally went to the sea on my humble boat. I then went to recruit Zoro. Although I'm bad a navigation, I can just locate him with observation haki so finding him wasn't a problem but I didn't know how to recrut him. Truth be told I didn't remember a lot of small details thanks to my need to store memories from over one thousand years. but since we are talking about Zoro here I think I'll just beat him up and make him join my crew. 'well then, off we go'
