Got It

A week later...

(At the Fire kingdom)

Adam saw that the princess didn't seem to be like herself, so he asked her what was wrong. Kaycee then told him that she was just thinking about who the culprit might be.

"I'll help you."

"Isn't your brother a detective?"

Adam leaned back on his chair. "You mean Cole? He's been busy lately."

"What do you mean?" the princess asked.

Adam replied, "He's not working as a detective anymore. He's working as a servant in an unknown place."

"What does he do as a servant then?"

"I heard he just cleans the place."

"I see. At least he was able to get a job."

"I'll ask Cole about it."

"Thank you, Adam."

"How about your brothers?"

"They've been quite busy lately," the princess informed.

"I heard there's been a conflict between the Water and Earth kingdom lately," Adam stated.

"You mean Mateo marrying Lucy?"

"Rumors say that Mateo ended his relationship with Mia because he didn't love her anymore."

"That's horrid."

"Such an odious prince."

"How about Olive then?"

Adam scratched his head. "Why mention her?"

Kaycee furrowed her eyebrows. "Do you still like her?"

"Is that even a question? I thought we've cleared this out already." Adam laughed.

"Give me a kiss in the cheek," Kaycee demanded.

"What? Here?"

"There's no one."

"Fine," Adam said as he pecked her cheek.

Kaycee smiled. "You haven't changed."

Meanwhile...

(In the king's room)

Eleanor asked what the king wanted her to do. Cameron then ordered her to clean the room.

"Your majesty, If I'll be cleaning your room, you'll need to go somewhere else first since everything's filthy.

"It doesn't matter. I'm staying in my room."

After a few hours of cleaning, Eleanor started feeling unwell. Cameron then asked if she was alright, but before she was able to respond, Eleanor collapsed. Cameron then immediately called the royal doctor as he carried her to his bed.

A few minutes later...

Olivia asked the royal doctor how Eleanor was doing. The royal doctor then told her that she was fine and that she just lacked rest.

"When will she wake up?" the king asked.

"In a few hours," the doctor answered.

"Olive, you may continue your work. I'll keep an eye on Eva."

Olivia bowed. "Yes, your majesty."

The king said, "You may both take your leave now."

A few hours later, Eleanor slowly opened her eyes and saw the king lying down beside her.

"Your majesty, what are you doing on my bed?" Eleanor shouted.

The king tilted his head. "This is my room, Eva."

Eleanor then realized that she was sleeping on the king's bed. She immediately got up and bowed. "Thank you, your majesty. I'll take my leave now."

Before she was able to walk further, the king grabbed her wrist.

He whispered, "Don't you think you owe me something?"

Eleanor uttered, "Umm..."

Cameron laughed. "Just kidding. You may go now."

"You scared me, your majesty."

"I'm glad you're feeling well now," Cameron said as he loosened his grip.

(At an unknown place)

"Seems like you've finally showed up," a voice said.

"What do you want?" a man asked.

"I just want you dead."

"You've already killed my wife. What more do you want?"

"You mean Aviana? Well, she deserves it."

The man shouted, "You—"

"Give up because once you get in, you can't get out," the voice interrupted.

"Where's my daughter?"

"Leah? She's dead. I killed her a few days ago."

Tears started falling from the man's eyes. "How did you even—"

"You've been working for me for around seven years. Why break your word?" the voice said.

"It's you who broke everything."

"Watch your words."

"Why? Isn't it true? You're just putting the blame on me!"

"Jack, give him his reward," the voice ordered.

The man asked, "What—"

Before he could even ask, Jack immediately thrusted his sword into the man's stomach and said, "Seems like I'm becoming Jay now, boss."

"He's such a fool." the voice laughed.

Jack asked, "Why not kill their relatives too?"

"No, it will be too obvious."

"We've killed three of them. Why not give it a go?"

"There are still a lot of opportunities that awaits us."

"You sure are clever."

"Get the body out."

"My pleasure," Jack obeyed.

As Jack was carrying the dead body, he looked at the body and smiled. "Seems like you're easily fooled, Cole."
