Vol 2 Ch 21

"Promise them revenge against Stark and the people who fought in Sokovia." Said the figure in the monitor.

"Fitting that we were responsible for that." The doctor within the bloodied lab coat had answered with a short laugh. "They have been promised revenge. Do not worry about that."

(Loki's POV)

Loki had been watching the video and he had recognized what Project Scarlet Witch had used. Loki had dwelt deep into the mysteries of the arcane when he was younger. In there he had found mentions of something known as chaos magic. A magic so powerful that it was thought to be impossible. Something that existed only in legends. A magic capable of manipulating, warping, and reconstructing the very fabric of existence and reality to the user's very whims. A magic that had the potential of bringing about the potential end of the very cosmos themselves.

This girl may be one of the few people who is capable of doing this branch of magic. Loki shivered at that moment. This was something that he did not want to touch or be near. He could hopefully leave this to the Ancient one.

"And the final one is the most special one of them all." The figure in the lab coat had continued.

"Her powers are natural. She was born with them. " The figure in the lab coat had continued.

This had caught the attention of the figure in the monitor. He had leaned forward. "And what makes her so special?"

"She was born with her powers. And when she awakened she had droven her parents insane." The labcoat had continued.

"It made it easier to destroy any records of her existence after we took her into custody." The lab coat had continued.

"She can send out thought waves which can drive people insane. Just be looking at them." The labcoat had laughed as videos were played of a child looking at various figures and driving them insane.

"She can also alter people's thoughts and memories permanently. She can be used to gain control of even more people. Making them loyal to our cause."

The figure had continued to say.

"However her abilities have a detriment to her health. She may die from overuse of her abilities. More research is needed." The figure had continiued.

"And her name." The figure on the monitor had asked.

"Project Ace. For she is our ace in the hole." The doctor answered.

"Proceed as always doctor." The figure had relaxed and then said one final sentence that sent alarm bells ringing through Amanda's mind. "Hail Hydra."

The Doctor had raised one of his hands and replied. "Hail Hydra."

As the call disconnected. The doctor had turned around and Amanda a had seen his face.

Daniel Whiteman. A promissing recruit who had brought many revolutions to shield. Someone who came highly recommended. Someone who was heading their biology departments. How deep had they been infiltrated. No the question was if there was some organization not yet infiltrated. If shield has been penetrated this deeply.

For now, she needed to act.

"We are going on full lock down as per our protocols to prevent anything from leaking. Is that understood?" Daniel had turned around and asked one of the soldiers.

"Yes sir. Testing will continue. We are on full lockdown." The soldier had replied

"Only the console can be used to send an SOS in case we are compromised."

Amanda had acted at that moment, firing a shot at one of the soldier killing him.

Taking that as his queue as well Loki had acted as well. He had thrown a few shuriken that struck a few of the soldiers killing them as well.

Amanda had gotten within striking range and had taken out a knife as she went for the throats of Daniel Whiteman. She had grabbed him by the throat as she had used her gun to fire at a few more soldiers by his side. They had gone down. The few remaining soldiers were hesitating to shoot at Amanda as she was holding Daniel Whiteman in front of her.

One of the soldiers had headed towards the console, presumably to raise the alarm. Loki had fallen feet first on top of him. The soldier being crushed under his weight. He had rushed the other remaining soldiers. Using the interceptor style taijutsu.

One of the soldiers had tried to shoot him, but Loki was too fast and had gotten right under the soldier. His figure hunched as he delivered a series of devastating plam strikes to the soldier. Throwing him to the wall and knocking him out. The final soldier, Loki had hit with a fast strike in the head to knock him out.

Loki began to recall as much information as he could. Hydra, a group formed on the side of the axis during World War 2. They had been directly combated by Captain America. The man gave his life to stop this group and now he was finding out that they were not dead.

"Who else is in your group." Amanda had demanded as she had struck him to the wall. Her hands holding him there. "Speak now." She had snarled out.

"Wait". Loki had said, he had realized the look in the Doctor's eyes. Loki had rushed forward to force the Doctor's mouth open and take out the pill. But as he had pushed Amanda away. He had realized that he was too late. As the doctor's eyes and mouth started to bleed.

"Hail Hydra." The doctor whimpered out as he died.

"Damnit." Amanda yelled as she had punched the wall.

Looking at her Loki had realized the signs. She was too agitated so he had asked her. "Did you not think to check for any poison."

"No, I did not. I was too agitated." Amanda had admitted to him.

"So now what." Loki had asked her.

"Give me a moment to calm down." She had replied to him. Taking deep breaths to calm her own anger.

After a few moments, she had replied to Loki. "Secure the children." She had ordered Loki. And as her eyes went to the teenagers and the child. She remembered her own children so she had once more said to Loki. "Do not kill them, I want them alive."

"I was not gonna kill them anyway." He had told her. As Loki had moved away towards the viewing glass looking at the facility below. There were only a few guards and Loki was feeling like letting loose for a moment.

Using Kamui, Loki had disappeared, a portal opened up behind one of the guards. A hand came out of it and it touched that guards shoulder electrocuting him. The guard fell down. That caught the attention of the other guards and they turned to see one of their comrades fallen. Spasming hard.

Another ripple opened up and on of the guards was draggen in. His screams were heard by the rest of the guards and they had turned around to see him being dragged into a portal. Their hands trembling, another portal opened up from where the body of the guard was thrown. It impacted another guard,. Knocking him out as well.

As this point, they all were trembling. For it is only the unknown that drives fear with in people. That is the reason any sentient species tries to gain knowledge. To fight against the uncertainty of their surrounding. Afterall, people will always be afraid of the darkness making up monstersuntil they shine a light there and understand what truly is there.

And so the guards were in confusion. Not understanding what was happening, frozen in fear. A pair of hands had grabbed one of the guards and had pulled him into the ground. A series of strikes came from another portal knocking another guard out.

At this point one of the guards was truly panicking and he had started to fire haphazardly everywhere. Loki had come out and grabbed the guy's head by the hair and slammed him into the ground. A crunch was heard and the guard had gone limp.

Loki continued this demoralizing tactic with the soldiers, none of them were able to understand what was truly happening. This had continued until he had dealt with everyone.

And now Loki stepped forward. it was time to deal with the twins. He had heard them approaching him. A pair of footsteps moving towards him. He had also sensed two large life forces approaching him as well. And so the battle began once more.
