The Competition

Kiekie's POV.

A week had passed after that incident. I begged Ms. Cary to take back Chuck's punishment.

At first she was reluctant; but after I explained the situation she agreed. She did advise I report to a social worker, I didn't want to tarnished my parents character. I didn't his work as well as his minors. Cleo helped me as well.

That week was very stressful because we had to practiced for the District Periodic Competition. I was able to memories the first 100 elements, symbols, atomic number and mass number as well.

Thursday was the final day. After school we went home rest for an hour the competition was to be held at Virginia's Town. They scheduled the competition for 4:pm GMT. School normally dismissed by 2:30pm GMT.

That Thursday of March 31st after we left the campus, I went home to change. I decided wear my favorite color. I wore a sky blue and spot white dress, a sky blue hair band, blue and white flats. I style my hair with the dog ears style. I wore my glass and left the house.

I knew that the program was an hour and a half ahead but Cleo said she had something for me. Besides, I didn't want to be in a hazardous environment for long.

I was that they might come home and kill the positive vibe I had that day. Ettina was upstairs with her boyfriend. I quickly left the house before they come down stairs and see me.

I went to Cleo's house. We went in her studio. She lived in her own apartment. Her dad built an apartment for her. He didn't want her near his new wife and children. He said she was dangerous so he built a house for her.

Cleo lived in a beautiful three bedrooms apartment, with a kitchen, living room, dinning room, front and back porch.

She occupied two rooms and the other was for emergency. She said it was mine. She slept in one and used the other for her studio. Cleo house was gray, white and black in color.

I know most girls go for colors like pink, yellow, or red but Cleopatra is different.

We went to her studio. She doesn't really allow people in her studio expect me. I did respect her privacy I entered with her permission only.

That day she took me to her studio and played the music "Like You" by Tatiana Manaois on her base guitar. She told me that there is no one like me.

The World don't care about the pain you go through they judge you for what they see.

She always played "Love Yourself" by Tatiana Manaois on her keyboard. Cleo is also a musician. She said played those music as a source of motivation for me.

After we left the studio I felt so much power running through my veins. I felt like I could conquer whatever challenge life threw at me.

We ate the fried potatoes greens she cooked. We later when to mediate we used the room that she said was for me to mediate most often.

After an hour and a half was over we went for the competition.

When we firstly go at the competition hall I wanted to feel intimidated by the other participants that I met there but I told myself that "I am powerful" I won't allow fear control my subconscious mind.

I forgot to mention that we when for the dinner Mr. Randolph invited us for. I carried Cleopatra with me. It was an amazing dinner. I wore a beautiful long sliver ball dress and Cleo wore kneel length gray dress.

I went for the dinner without worrying. I decided to live. I decided to do whatever that pleased me. I am sorry but that prefect daughter is gone. I told myself they will never see me cry over their love again. But I was wrong.

After all the participants were sited they gave us an identification card .

Cleo took her seat in the first roll. I wasn't afraid of favorite but I was a bit nervous because it was my first time in search competition.

I told myself there is no turning back now!

I was the only girl out of 10 participant. That means there were nine boys and I was there only girl. That gave me more courage.

I took a deep breath and told myself that "Kiekie, you have to get up and she the world the real you. Show the world of boys the power of a woman."

Keke: When you sang that song by Tatiana Manaois it changed my life. I still listen to it every morning now.

Narrator: I did it because I wanted you to be a new version like now. If only I won't have done that we wouldn't be writing this story.

Keke: Thanks so much!

Narrator: Enough of that! We need to get back to the story. Sorry guys, she can really be a cry baby. I wonder how your future husband will handle your?

Keke: Shhhh!! NOT ANOTHER WORD!!

Narrator: (Open and Close mouth)
