_______

ZHANG's POV

"Chaeyoung-ie… is that you?" My voice sounded… what's the word? Oh right… hoarse.

It seems like I was in a hospital of some sort. Chaeyoung was crying beside me as soon as I woke up. She frantically pressed the call button for the doctors to come see us. I don't even remember what happened before this. We were practically busy with schedules so it was getting harder for me to keep track of what was going on. If I recall it right, I was with my members rehearsing on KBS' stage. That was the last thing I remember before everything went black.

Dom-hyung came rushing in with some of the nurses. He breathed a sigh of relief before he started checking my vitals. He was really quiet the entire time he was doing his check up. After a while, he gave a nod to his nurses. I think it was a signal for them to clear the room. They all left hurriedly. As soon as they left, Dom-hyung turned his attention to me.

"Your vitals are stable. But we still need to keep you here in the hospital for a couple of days to make sure you are stable. We're going to run some tests later on." Dom-hyung said in a sad tone.

I tried to get up but noticed that I couldn't. "Hyung… what happened? Why can't I get up?"

He was about to cry but composed himself as he cleared his throat. "Yesterday, when we were rehearsing… the stage collapsed. You were buried under the materials. When we got you out, you were barely alive."

I calmly nodded trying to process things. "But that still doesn't explain why I can't move."

Dom-hyung sniffled a laugh. "You've got a solid mental fortitude."

"Hyung… cut to the chase. What's wrong with me?" I urged him.

He sighed before he turned serious. "You're suffering from Quadriplegia Paralysis. You injured your spine yesterday along with two broken limbs. If Seiji-hyung and I didn't enter the operating room... You would have long been gone. The surgery took 8 hours to finish. But with Seiji-hyung's serum and drug, you healed pretty quickly. Honestly, I'm surprised that you're even talking."

I was deeply… I think the right word is... devastated. I was deeply devastated inside, but Chaeyoung was already sobbing, so I had to be the stronger one here. "Hyung… is this… for life?"

Dom-hyung frantically waved and chuckled. "No! Definitely not! Based on the body scanner of the bed, you're recovering at an exponential rate. You just have to do rehabilitation to strengthen yourself. Seiji-hyung is also working on a serum to help you recover faster. He said he'll be done by tonight. You'll be good to go in two to three weeks. Don't worry."

I sighed in relief. "Thank you, hyung. I owe you my life."

"You owe me nothing, brother." He replied as he patted my shoulder. I still couldn't feel the sensation, but I still felt the care coming from him.

He must have been worried. They all have. Chaeyoung's reaction was proof of it. Even Dom-hyung barely kept it together. Seiji-hyung must also be beating himself up from this. When I get out of here, I'm treating them to a meal. I then remembered something as my eyes widened. "Hyung… what about the promotions?"

"Don't think about that right now. Just focus on recovering. We'll figure something out. I already called JayB-ya last night. He said we'll have a meeting tonight. He couldn't make it last night since he was watching over Dahyun-ah while they were filming for the show. But it was the first time I saw JayB cry like that when I told him the news." Dom-hyung said.

I sighed as I was about to tear up. "JayB-hyung… I'm sorry guys… I let you down."

He held my hand. "Eyy… you didn't let anyone down Zhang-ah. We're just happy that you're okay. You know how worried we were? The rest of the members were outside the operating room the entire night. Zee was even staring blankly the entire time while Matt-hyung and Yo Chul-hyung were both calling people to inform them of what happened."

"Tell them how sorry I am. I'll do my best to recover as soon as possible. So please tell them not to worry." I gave him a smile.

Dom-hyung nodded. "Alright. Chaeyoung-ah… please take care of Zhang-ah for us."

Chaeyoung nodded as she was too happy to say anything. Her face was still full of tears from the news. After Dom-hyung left, I turned my head slightly to Chaeyoung. "What time is it? Shouldn't you be practicing?"

She shook her head. "I called for a leave of absence. PD-nim already approved it saying that I should be here to take care of you."

"I'm fine now. You need to prepare for your debut in Japan, you know?" I insisted.

She gave me a glare. "I'm staying and that's final. Don't say anything more."

I agreed with her. She stayed by my side for the next two days while taking care of me. After I took the new serum Seiji-hyung developed, I could finally move again. I still needed therapy and rehabilitation though. My legs still feel like… what's the word? Oh right. Jelly… my legs still feel like jelly everytime I try to walk. Especially my right leg. It still couldn't move. It was terrible. Only my upper body had the same strength like it used to. It was all thanks to the rehabilitation process and the constant care I was receiving from my girlfriend. I was starting to get worried because she didn't get any sleep as she was taking care of me. She was also becoming inactive with the promotions and TV appearances which are worrying her fans.

"Chaeyoung-ah… you should go and sleep. You've been taking care of me for days. Your fans are starting to worry."

She sighed. "Don't worry about it, oppa. JayB-oppa will take care of you tonight. I'll be at home sleeping. PD-nim already asked me to report to work tomorrow."

"Then why are you sad about it?" I asked.

"I just… I don't want to work while you're here." She replied sadly.

It made me sigh. "I'm getting better. You heard Dom-hyung. Seiji-hyung's serum worked beyond his expectations. He says at this rate, I'll be out of the hospital by the end of the week. So please, don't worry about me."

"You also don't have to worry about me since I also took care of Dahyun-unnie when she was in the hospital." Chaeyoung reassured me.

I raised a brow. "Dahyun-ah was sick in the past?"

She nodded with a smile. "It happened back when we were trainees. She fell in our dorm's staircase when she hurriedly ran to the company because she was late for training. She was unconscious for two days because if the head trauma. We thought she would die. Even the doctors said that she would die if she didn't get that serum. You know how expensive it is. But as trainees, we couldn't afford it. Fortunately, an anonymous person donated two injections of the premium serum. She was able to recover after that."

"Wow… that's… Amazing." I said as my lips curled in a smile. "Still, I don't want you to get stressed because of me."

She giggled. "I'm not. Don't worry too much. Okay?"

"Thank you." I muttered.

She caressed my face and God, I'm thankful that I can feel sensations again. "Oppa… I love you."

"Me too." I replied.

"Sorry… am I interrupting something?" A voice sounded from the door.

"Dahyun-unnie! We were just talking about you!" Chaeyoung quickly changed the subject as she pulled her hand away.

Dahyun chuckled as he entered the room. "Don't mind me. I'm just here to visit. Continue with what you guys were doing."

I rolled my eyes. "The moment's long gone now thanks to you."

"You're welcome." She joked. She then turned serious with a worried smile on her face. "How are you feeling?"

"Better. Chaeyoung-ah's been taking care of me nonstop." I replied.

Dahyun chuckled. "Yeah. I know. She was like that back when I was a trainee. Even until now."

"I was just telling Shen-oppa about that." Chaeyoung cheerfully said.

Dahyun then raised her brow. "Really? Did she tell you that she slept like a log for an entire day after I was discharged?"

"No, she did not." I was about to laugh but when I turned to look at Chaeyoung who was glaring at me, I held back.

Chaeyoung then rushed over to Dahyun and started dragging her to the couch. "Unnie! Why don't you have a seat?"

Dahyun giggled. "Alright, alright. I won't spill anything. It's nice that you're finally looking better Zhang-oppa."

"It's because of love. My love is enough to cure him!" Chaeyoung started acting cute which made me laugh.

Dahyun then rolled her eyes. "Love is not the medicine. I'm pretty sure, Seiji-oppa concocted a serum again."

Chaeyoung pouted. "Do you always have to ruin the mood unnie?"

"Don't worry, baby. You being here is making my recovery faster. Don't mind what Dahyun-ah says." I took Chaeyoung's side on this one as I smirked.

Chaeyoung then snapped her towards Dahyun and stuck her tongue out. "See! I told you!"

Dahyun snickered. "Fine. It's two against one. I can't win this."

Chaeyoung suddenly snapped her fingers. "Oh right! I almost forgot! Today's the first episode for Dahyun-unnie and JayB-oppa's marriage!"

"Why don't you turn the holo-screen on, baby?" I asked.

Dahyun tried to stop her but she was too late. Chaeyoung already turned the device on and locked it on We Got Married's channel. The couple Taejoon and Bomi-noona's part was done. JayB-hyung and Dahyun's part was up next. The hosts of the show were excited. Some of them were even saying that they were looking forward to meeting the new couple.

"This is so embarrassing." Dahyun covered her face.

Chaeyoung chuckled. "Don't worry unnie! I bet it would be fun."

Everything was revealed. The day we got the letter in the parking lot after we filmed Knowing Brothers. Dahyun wasn't revealed yet. It was all in JayB-hyung's perspective. From that night he got his second letter, up to the day he drove to Daegu. Our scene was also shown where we were telling him what to do for his first date. We were all watching it seriously. We laughed and teased her the entire time. Dahyun was soon revealed and Chaeyoung started squealing as she hit Dahyun really hard from all the excitement. It was really fun to watch.

The last scene then played where JayB-hyung was answering one of the questions after he went to visit Twice during their comeback. The question was really… What's that word again? Oh right. intriguing. The show asked why he suddenly became brave when he was nervous the entire time. JayB-hyung smiled at the camera. "Because I wanted to show her how serious I am about this marriage. I didn't want to mess up and embarrass my wife. I wanted to be the husband where she could be proud of. Yeah, I guess that was it."

The show ended there as Chaeyoung and I applauded it. Dahyun was just sitting there with a sad expression on her face. Chaeyoung patted her shoulder. "Unnie… are you okay?"

Dahyun suddenly put on a smile as she turned to us. "I'm fine! Just quite embarrassed! That's all!"

"You scared me there for a second." I told her.

Chaeyoung suddenly shook Dahyun as she became excited. "I can't believe THE JayB PD-nim wrote you a song! On your first day together at that!"

She started squealing at a high pitch which made Dahyun cover her ears. "Quiet down, will you? You're in a hospital."

"Dahyun-ah… JayB-hyung is really serious about you. I could tell. He wouldn't write a song for just anyone. I remember this girl group went to ask him to write them a song. Some of them were even trying to flirt with him but he kicked them out of his studio and banned them. That's how exclusive his songs are. It didn't just happen once, it happened to several other groups as well." I told her.

Chaeyoung's eyes widened as she shook her head. "And to think that there was a time where we took it for granted."

"Thanks, Zhang-oppa. I believe in my husband too." Dahyun smiled.

I sighed. "If you're worried about the mystery girl everyone's been talking about. Don't worry. I'll tell you who she is. It's-"

"No, it's okay. Really. JayB-oppa and I talked about it. He promised to tell me at the right time. Before the show ends. I also promised to tell him about why I was so angry at him before the show ends ." Dahyun interjected.

"If you say so." I smiled.

Chaeyoung then turned to me. "Can you tell me who it is instead?"

I flicked her forehead. "No."

"Oh come on!" Chaeyoung complained.

"Did you see what JayB-hyung was doing while he was waiting for you guys to perform?" I decided to change the topic which made Chaeyoung pout.

Dahyun chuckled. "Yes. He was looking me up on Instagram."

"Still not convinced that he likes you?" I smirked.

Dahyun rolled her eyes. "Oh shut up."

We continued talking about what happened on our side before the show started. Dahyun also shared her side of the story. There were a lot of things that were revealed to us like how she couldn't sleep from the excitement, and how she desperately tried her best to keep this a secret. It was really fun having her around. Chaeyoung was also very sweet as she prepared us dinner. I was in the VIP room so cooking was allowed here. After our lunch, Dahyun said her goodbyes before she left to go back to their dorm to prepare for their practice.

"JayB-hyung's taking a while. Should I call him?" I asked Chaeyoung.

She snapped her head towards me as she narrowed her eyes. "Are you in a hurry to kick me out of this room?"

"No. I didn't mean it like that. I'm just worried that you'll have less sleep before you practice tonight." I answered.

She sighed. "I already told our manager-unnie that I would rest tonight. I promised them that I'd make up for lost time tomorrow."

I breathed out. "That means you have to double your effort during practice. It'll exhaust you. Will you be okay?"

"Have some faith in me, oppa." Chaeyoung said with a wry smile.

A knock on the door echoed throughout the room. "Hey guys! I'm sorry I'm late."

Chaeyoung giggled. "You're about twenty minutes late. Dahyun-unnie just left."

"She was here? She didn't tell me though." JayB-hyung sadly smiled.

Chaeyoung patted his shoulder. "Cheer up, JayB-oppa. She must have thought that you were really busy."

JayB-hyung nodded. "Thanks, Chaeyoung-ah. I WAS, actually."

"Well, I better get going. I'll visit you on Saturday." She said while preparing her stuff.

I raised my brow at her. "I thought you're going back to work?"

"I am." She answered as she checked her stuff inside her purse.

"Then why are you coming back the day after tomorrow?" I asked.

She giggled. "We have the weekend off."

"Us too." JayB-hyung added.

I sighed. "What is PD-nim doing? He's letting his artists slack off."

Chaeyoung pinched my cheek. "Don't you want me to be here?"

"I just thought that you'd be catching up with work since you were here the entire week." I rub my cheek as soon as she lets go.

JayB-hyung chuckled. "Don't worry. She's a fast learner. She can do it once practice starts next week."

"Alright. I REALLY need to go now. I need to catch some Zees. Bye oppa!" Chaeyoung gave a peck on my cheek before she left.

"Cute girlfriend." JayB-hyung teased.

"She's mine, hyung." I joked.

JayB-hyung chuckled. "Easy, tiger. No one's taking her away from you."

I let out a soft chuckle. "How are things with Dahyun-ah?"

He sighed deeply. "We're getting better at handling our marriage."

"No, I mean… how are things OUTSIDE of marriage?" I asked again.

He gave me a small smile. "We're doing great. Inconsistent… but great. We're closer than how we first started."

I gave him a smirk. "I could tell. The first episode aired today. I saw how nervous you looked. Even when you were preparing that surprise for her. I could see how hesitant you were."

"That was today? Gosh, I totally forgot about it." He facepalmed.

I slowly sat up. "Hyung… seriously. Don't change the topic. Why were you acting all weird around her?"

"It's not me, okay? It's her. She wanted to be married on camera but casual off camera. That's why I was hesitant at first. But we got past that. We're okay now." He explained.

"Well, I'm glad that you guys are slowly working things out." I gave him a smile.

"Me too." He replied.

"Me too actually." Dom-hyung smirked as he was leaning on the door frame.

JayB-hyung chuckled. "Since when did you get here?"

"Since 'We're getting better at handling our marriage'." He teased.

JayB-hyung sighed. "I'm SO getting teased when I get home."

"You know it." Dom-hyung patted his shoulder.

"So what brings you here Dom-hyung?" I asked.

"Can't I just check on my favorite patient?" Dom-hyung sarcastically said with a big smile.

I sighed. "You didn't even check on me once ever since the follow up tests were done."

JayB-hyung laughed. "Were you that focused on the practices and schedules that you forgot to check on Zhang-ie?"

"Ya! I've been monitoring him ever since, okay?! Even if I wasn't physically present, I was always making sure that he was taken care of." Dom-hyung replied.

JayB-hyung rolled his eyes. "Yeah, right!"

"So there is something wrong with me." I bluntly said.

They both stopped laughing and snapped their heads towards me. Dom-hyung cleared his throat and became serious. "I thought I could at least lighten up the mood first."

"Don't. Just tell me." I looked at him straight in the eye.

Dom-hyung sighed. "Your right leg isn't healing properly. Seiji-hyung's serum is already doing so much. I can't let you take it again not knowing what the side effects are. You have to do rehabilitation for a week to realign your bones and let your body do its work on its own. Seiji-hyung said that it's the only way for the serum to fully work."

"But what about our comeback? I can't stay here like this! Our promotions have already been halted for a week because of me!" I snapped.

JayB-hyung placed his hand on my shoulder. "Your health is our top priority. The comeback can wait."

I shrugged his hand off. "But the fans… the pack have already waited long enough for this comeback! I can't just-"

"You will stay in this room and recover. Do you understand? I'm not letting you go back on that stage until your leg fully heals. If you won't do this, you'll be disabled for life. Do you understand me? You just have to listen to me and do the rehab for just one week. Just one week. Okay?" Dom-hyung interjected.

I leaned back a little and bit my lip. It made me ponder a bit about it and he was right. I sighed deeply. "Fine. One week."

"Okay. Good. Rest up. Can I get you anything?" Dom-hyung asked, trying to cheer me up.

"My life back." I answered.

JayB-hyung sighed. "You will. Just listen to Domi-ya for now. We only want what's best for you Zhang-ie."

I nodded. "Okay."

_________

"Come on, Shentong-ssi. You can do it." My Physical Therapist encouraged me to walk more but I just couldn't do it.

I've been doing therapy and rehabilitation for the last two days. JayB-hyung was really kind enough to take good care of me in those two days. He had a drama to film today so Chaeyoung was taking care of me instead. Zee wanted to come to the hospital and be my guardian, but Dom-hyung refused profusely since he was afraid that Zee might break things in his hospital or worse, give me the wrong medicine. His… I believe the word I'm looking for is "clumsiness". Right... his clumsiness can happen at any given time. We were in the rehabilitation wing of the hospital. I was trying my best to get my leg to function properly. To my dismay, there was no improvement.

"Hang in there, oppa… you can do it." Chaeyoung was doing her best to encourage me.

I was already sweating profusely and was heavily panting. My left leg was already starting to move but it still feels like jelly. My right leg, on the other hand, was what Dom-hyung predicted. It was not improving. I couldn't feel a thing.

"That's it, Zhang-ssi. You're doing great." He encouraged even more.

"Oppa! You're almost there." Chaeyoung added.

After a couple more steps, I couldn't take it anymore and my hand slipped from the handlebars and I almost fell down, but my therapist caught me. He chuckled. "It's okay. Don't worry about it. It happens. Why don-"

"Damn it! It's not okay! I'm not getting any better! I probably won't! So stop telling me 'it's okay'!" I yelled.

Chaeyoung approached me with my wheelchair. "Donguk-ssi… I'm sorry. He must be feeling tired. Why don't we call it a day?"

Donguk, my therapist, smiled as he bowed before he left the room. Chaeyoung sighed as she turned her attention to me. "You know oppa? I know you're really frustrated but you didn't have to take it out on the person who's trying to help you?"

"Then what am I supposed to do, huh?! I can't even walk!" I yelled.

"Then why are you taking out on me?!" She fought back.

I scoffed. "Because you're talking as if you understand my pain! You guys don't even know anything!"

She threw her hands in the air. "Then stop being a baby and tell me what's wrong! Stop being sulky and so depressed! We're here to listen!"

"Oh I'm sulky and depressed?! Why don't you try being injured for once! I'm sure you'll understand what I mean once you get to try it." I retaliated.

She slapped me across the face and the sound echoed throughout the room. I snapped out of my angered state and slowly turned my head to see Chaeyoung's face full of tears. "You're such a jerk!"

Chaeyoung was obviously frustrated. She walked out of the door without turning to look at me even though I was calling her several times. I fell flat on the floor as I tried to stand up and run after her. She's right. I really am… as she would say… a jerk.

"Ya! Did your girlfriend just cry? What did you do to Chae- What are YOU doing on the floor?!" JayB-hyung walked in on my… pathetic state.

I didn't respond as she tried helping me back to my wheelchair. "Did something happen? I saw Chaeyoung-ah crying when she entered the elevator."

His words reminded me of what happened earlier. I didn't realize that a tear had already escaped my eye. I sighed. "I'm the worst boyfriend, hyung."

"Hey… why don't I bring you back to your room? Tell me what happened along the way." He said as he patted my shoulder. I gave him a nod before we started making our way back to my room. I told him everything. It was actually nice to let it all out for once. I wasn't used to it, but it definitely felt good.

"I see… so that's what happened." JayB-hyung sighed. "Well, if there's one thing I'm sure of, it's that she's right. You have been a jerk."

"Gee. Thanks." I sarcastically said before I covered my face.

"So what are you planning to do about it?" JayB-hyung asked.

I shrugged. "I'll wait for her to come back."

"You're an idiot if you think she'll come back after what you just did." JayB-hyung rolled his eyes.

His words made me sigh. "So what do you think I should do?"

"We'll see after today. For now, try calling her and apologize." JayB-hyung suggested.

"She won't answer." I told him.

JayB-hyung raised his brow. "How do you know when you haven't even tried?"

I sighed. "I did. I've been trying to contact her on our way here while telling you all the details."

His eyes widened in surprise. "Wow! I didn't know you could multitask like that?"

"Well now you do. And can we focus on the situation please?" I reminded him.

"Sorry. So what are you planning to do?" JayB-hyung asked again.

I contemplated for a while and suddenly, an idea came into mind. "Hyung… I've got a favor to ask."

_________

CHAEYOUNG's POV

"So that's what happened." Dahyun-unnie said as she leaned on her hand.

It's been a day since the incident happened. I've ignored Shen-oppa's calls and messages. I didn't even respond to his voicemails. I was still pretty much hurt about what he said. But I also miss him at the same time. I'm sure that he didn't mean what he said. He was probably disappointed and frustrated because of his situation. The pressure that everyone has been placing on him is too great after all. That's why he's trying his best to recover.

Dahyun-unnie and I were at a cafe near our dorm. She suddenly asked me about the situation so I HAD to tell her. It was becoming more bothersome to just keep it all inside. Good thing I have eight sisters who were willing to listen. Dahyun-unnie just happened to be free at the moment.

"What should I do unnie? He's been trying to contact me since the incident." I worriedly asked.

She raised a brow. "And you haven't answered any of his messages or his calls?"

"I'm still scared to hear his voice, at the same time, I want to hear his voice." I sighed. "I must be going crazy."

"You're really an idiot. If he's trying to contact you that much, it means he wants to patch things up and apologize. Why aren't you giving him a chance?" She asked.

"I don't know." I answered.

"I bet you do. You're just too scared to say it out loud." Dahyun-unnie smirked.

Her words made me plop my head on the table. "It's because I'm also at fault. I was trying to push him when I didn't really know how or what he was feeling."

"Well, there's your answer. Now you both have something to apologize for." She said as she reached out to take my hand.

I happily took it. "Thank you. But what should I do now unnie?"

"Well, how about we talk to my husband and see how we can set things up? In the meantime, why don't you buy his favorite coffee? I heard he's been craving for it." She suggested.

I giggled. "Did you just say 'my husband'?"

"Shut up." She retorted as she folded her arms.

I rolled my eyes. "You know, unnie? For someone who's struggling with her lovelife, you're pretty good with advice."

She rolled her tongue to the side of her cheek. "So are we going or not? And what do you mean 'struggling'? We're not struggling!"

"Okay! Okay! Sheesh!" I laughed as I went to order Shen-oppa's favorite drink.

After getting my order for take-out, we made our way to the hospital. We took a cab going there since our managers were all on their day off too. The ride going there seemed so short since I was contemplating on what to say when I saw my boyfriend again. There was a part of me that was nervous and a part of me that misses him deeply.

"We're here! JayB-oppa told us to meet him at the entertainment room in the Leisure Wing since Zhang-oppa is still asleep." Dahyun-unnie said.

I sighed in relief… or was it disappointment? "Alright. Let's go."

We arrived at the Leisure Wing and saw JayB-oppa leaning on the entrance to the room. He was closing his eyes. He must have been tired since he had to work all night yesterday after taking care of Shen-oppa the entire day. It's my fault since I was supposed to take care of him while the other members of Alpha were in their separate schedules.

"You guys made it." He opened his eyes as he held Dahyun-unnie's hand and gave it a peck.

"Stop… will you? The kids are watching!" Dahyun-unnie joked.

I pouted. "Who are you calling a kid?"

JayB-oppa chuckled as he patted my head. "Alright, alright. Why don't you go on ahead? I need to tell Dahyun something."

I gave Dahyun-unnie a malicious grin before I winked at her. "You love birds do what you need to do. I'll be waiting inside."

"Don't worry. We'll be here." Dahyun-unnie smiled.

It was weird since she didn't retaliate. I didn't get it at first and just brushed it off. It was only when I went inside the room, my eyes widened in surprise. I was not expecting this. As soon as I entered, JayB-oppa closed the door and locked it.

________

ZHANG's POV

"Don't worry. We'll be here." I could hear Dahyun giving me the cue that Chaeyoung was about to enter.

JayB-hyung and I spent the day yesterday coming up with a song. Well, HE came up with the song. I had to learn it in an hour though. It was pretty good. I sometimes question if I really am a musical prodigy when he's around. But nonetheless, I was grateful for the song. I asked him to contact Dahyun and bring Chaeyoung here. We decorated the hall with her favorite flowers and a giant red heart in the middle of the room made out of thousands of red rose petals.

I was in the middle of the heart with a piano waiting for her to come in and play her the song called "Shaking". JayB-hyung was weird since I overheard him saying "Taeil did a great job with this song in the previous world". I didn't mind it since I thought that I was dreaming since it was late at night. Still, it is a great song. Chaeyoung finally entered the room with a surprised look on her face. I gave her a smile and started playing the intro to the song. She slowly made her way to the white chair in front of me. I then started singing the first line.

[You're walking to me

With a warm cup of coffee in hand

As I take in that aroma, I smile]

She gave me a smile as she sat down on that chair with a giggle. The lyrics fit the scenario perfectly. She smiled but her eyes were becoming watery. I winked at her before I went all out on the pre chorus.

[When a butterfly flies past a flower

The small petal shake

When rain falls on a river

Even the moonlight shakes

So when you pass me]

I gave her a smile as if assuring that I do love her and I wanted to tell her that I AM a jerk, but I didn't mean to be one. She must have understood what I was trying to convey when I saw her smile and gave me a nod as her eyes continuously poured out tears.

[I'm shaking, my heart flutters

All you did was just pass by but waves crash in my heart

I'm shaking, my heart flutters

The sight of your back is beautiful]

I displayed my vocal skills as I did some adlibs. But I didn't even notice that I was crying until I saw the droplets on the piano. I continued singing and just let it all out as she stood up and started approaching me.

[I'm always waiting at the same spot at the same time

You will pass by this street with a smile

I'm hiding my face

But we've been friends for a long time

I hear your footsteps right now]

She sat beside me as she leaned her head on my shoulder. I was suddenly reminded of the years that I had to wait and tell her how I felt. It made me realize that the person beside me is someone I didn't want to lose. Even if I had to change completely and sacrifice a lot of things in the future, I would, just to keep her by my side.

[I'm shaking, my heart flutters

My heart that has you in it feels dizzy

I'm shaking, my heart flutters

To me, you're always beautiful]

She slowly wrapped her arms around me and whispered how sorry she was. I gave her a smile and continued singing the next part.

[I want to hug you

I want to catch you

I'm looking at you every time

More dazzling than the warm sunlight

that shines in the afternoon]

I paused for a while and stared at her lovingly. I didn't break the gaze. This person… Son Chaeyoung… I want to keep her for the rest of my life. I will love, cherish and protect her. Still, without looking away, I sang the last part softly.

[I'm shaking, My heart flutters

All you did was just pass by but waves crash in my heart

I'm shaking, My heart flutters

Your breath is crashing over me

Even the sight of your back is beautiful]

As soon as the song ended, she cupped my face as her lips shook from all the crying. "I'm sorry. I… I don't know what came over me. I know that… I… I'm sorry… Zhang-op-"

I didn't allow her to speak anymore as I crashed my lips into hers. I'm not good at words, nor am I a good conversationalist, but I know that through the song, she understood what I wanted to say. As soon as we broke the kiss, I leaned my head on to hers. "I'm sorry. I'm a jerk. I know that now. You were just doing what you did best. Cheer me up. And I took it for granted. I even said those horrible things to you. I'm sorry. Will you forgive me?"

She nodded as she gave me a smile. "Of course, silly. I can't stay mad at you… Not after THAT."

I smiled at her and caressed her face. "You were wrong by the way."

"About what?" She looked confused.

"You said that love's a form of medicine that'll cure me. Love is not the medicine. It's the person who loved me... you're my medicine." I responded as I slowly stood up.

"You... you can stand!" She exclaimed excitedly.

I chuckled softly. "I can't walk though. But it's progress."

"Oppa... this is really a wonderful surprise... you can stand, and that song... just... wow!" She said as she held my hand to help me sit back down.

"JayB-hyung wrote that song actually. Did you like it?" I asked as I slowly wiped away her tears.

She did the same. "I do! I really do!"

"Wow! I didn't know you'd propose today?" Dahyun interrupted as she leaned on the door with her arms crosed and with a smirk all over her face.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "Thanks for ruining the moment."

She smirked. "You're welcome, dumb dumb."

Chaeyoung giggled. "Thank you, Dahyun-unnie, JayB-oppa. You really helped out a lot."

"What can I say? My wife and I make a pretty good team." JayB-hyung said as Dahyun gave her a fist bump.

I chuckled as I recalled something. "Hyung, it's Saturday by the way."

"So?" He shrugged.

I shook my head in disbelief. "Weren't you supposed to tell Dahyun-ah something about the new episode that'll come out today?"

"What episode? What is he talking about?" Dahyun snapped her head towards JayB-hyung.

Chaeyoung clasped her hands as she gasped. "Oh right! The drama that JayB-oppa was starring in! I heard that it's actually doing well. It's ending next week right? I heard that they would air three episodes today."

"You were watching it?" I asked Chaeyoung.

"Of course! Any drama that Alpha members star in usually has high ratings." She replied cheerfully.

Dahyun cleared her throat as she glared at JayB-hyung. "So? What were you going to tell me?"

JayB-hyung smiled wryly at her. "Oh shoot…"
