Hello Dear Readers!
Author here.
First of all....Uhm, sorry for not updating this story for a while when I actually promised you guys that I will post new chapters at a faster pace.
The thing is, I got a writer's block and it was a pain in the arse to deal with. No matter what I write, I just didn't like it.
Then there were some of you guys who were complaining about how slow this story is getting, which I absolutely agree with you guys.
But It was getting really tough for me to correct it as it ended up becoming a habit of mine. I still tried my hardest to change it though which resulted in some improvement, that you guys are so NOT going to see in this chapter....as this was something I wrote when I was into slow paced writing.
1 more chapter left till we go into the action, that I am sure a lot of you people are waiting for. I actually love what I wrote and hope that you guys also like it. I am going to post that chapter till the end of this week, and this time, I AM SERIOUS.
Don't forget to read the ending, it's canon.
Peace.

[An hour ago; in Asgard]
"You shouldn't blame yourself too much my King. What you did, was necessary for the betterment of Asgard, as well as the Prince himself."
A calm and serene voice, that belonged to one of the finest warriors in the realm of Asgard, spoke in the hopes of pulling his King back from the misery he was feeling for banishing his son from this realm.
Heimdall, the all-seeing and all-hearing Asgardian, gatekeeper of Asgard and guardian of its bifrost, looked at the state of his King with worry filled eyes.
Heimdall was an Asgardian blessed with sensory abilities far beyond those of other Asgardians, letting him see nearly all that happens in the Nine Realms. Due to his nearly omniscient abilities, he was given the role of gatekeeper to Asgard at Himinbjorg on the Bifrost Bridge.
Throughout his time as its guardian, Heimdall made sure that no enemies were able to get past his watch and enter Asgard, ensuring its safety.
Despite that, Heimdall failed to see it coming.
The intrusion of the Frost Giants.
The previous day, when the coronation ceremony of Thor, First Prince of Asgard was taking place, several Frost Giants broke into Odin's Vault in an attempt to reclaim the Casket of Ancient Winters right under Heimdall's nose.
This incident mortified the all-seeing Asgardian.
How wasn't he able to foresee this attack?
This intrusion also sparked the ire of Thor, leading him to take action against his Father's order.
Thor being the reckless warrior he was, came to Heimdall, seeking access to Jotunheim in order to gain answers from the Frost Giants. Heimdall, having suspicion about having a traitor among their ranks as well as being fairly angered because of the intrusion himself, agreed to let him and The Warriors Three pass.
A mistake on both of their parts.
What they didn't see coming, was Odin's interference during Thor's visit to Jotunheim. The All-father was mysteriously notified about this secret mission of theirs, and he was furious.
After getting notified about his son's reckless action, Odin came marching down to Himinbjorg and ordered Heimdall to open the Bifrost Bridge and give him access to Jotunheim as fast as possible.
Heimdall after being ordered by his King, had no choice but to do as he was told.
Many things led to another, and now Thor Odinson, the first prince of Asgard, was exiled from the Realm Eternal to Midgard for almost waging a war against the Frost Giants and putting his, as well as his friends'lives in danger.
Despite taking a decision that only a man as wise as the ruler of the nine realms could take, The All-Father himself was not proud of his decision; rather he was devastated by how things have turned out.
For that reason, Odin was now standing inside the Giant Portal Room of Asgard, the place where he exiled Thor and stripped him of his powers. He was cursing himself for not being a better father, not only for his exiled son Thor, but for his adopted son Loki as well.
There was that one daughter in the back of his mind too. The one that he himself imprisoned so that she could not cause any more blood shed; a trait that she adopted from his past self.
'I hope you find it in your hearts to forgive me my children, for being such a terrible father; A father that does not even know how to educate his children properly. If I was there for you more...then there could have been a possibility where a situation such as this would not have arise.' Odin thought as he stood a few feet away from Heimdall while staring at the place where he last saw Thor before he got banished to Midgard.
"You shouldn't blame yourself too much my King. What you did, was necessary for the betterment of Asgard, as well as the Prince himself." A calm and serene voice, that belonged to his most trusted subordinate, prompted Odin to put his thoughts in the back of his mind for the time being and replace his sad outlook with a calm and tough expression on his face.
Heimdall after not getting any response from his King, decided not to interrupt for a while and patiently waited for his King to speak up.
Odin after a few moments of silently staring at nothing in particular, finally turned around to look at Heimdall and said
"I should not blame myself? If it were not for me being so indulged in my own world, I could have taught my sons better! Something like this should have never happened. If I taught Thor some humility and gave Loki the acknowledgment he desired, maybe they would not have turned out like the way they are. One is an arrogant fool and the other is a clever swine. It is I who is to be blamed Heimdall, for being such a terrible father." Odin said with a stern expression on his face but his eye was showing what he was truly feeling.
Heimdall after hearing his king's words, was about to say something but his words stopped on their tracks and his eyes widened in surprise after getting a glimpse of what transpired in Midgard.
He saw something. Something that happened in Midgard with Thor.
"So they meet..." Heimdall muttered to himself without any change of expression on his face, but the widening of his eyes showed that he was surprised.
Odin after hearing what Heimdall said, got a curious as well as serious expression on his face.
"What is it Heimdall? You see something of interest?" Odin asked in a serious tone of voice. If Heimdall interrupted their conversation like that, then Odin was sure that this was much more important than him wallowing in his self-pity.
Heimdall for a while didn't answer as he kept on staring at nothing in particular. Odin knew that Heimdall was currently looking at something in one of the realms and decided to wait for his answer.
After a few moments of silence, Heimdall turned his gaze towards his King with a serious expression on his face and said in a calm tone of voice
"It is the 'Anomaly' my King. He and Thor, they have just interacted in the Mortal realm."
Just as those words left Heimdall's mouth, Odin's expression darkened and he started rubbing his head with his right hand.
"Heimdall, open the gate to Midgard. I cannot let those two meet, not with the way Thor is at the moment. Without his powers, Thor is helpless. Hel, even with his powers, there is barely anything he could have done. That man is abnormal and knowing my son, I know he must have done something foolish and got himself on his bad side." Odin said in a serious tone and sighed at the end of his sentence. He didn't trust Thor with a good first impression one bit.
Anomaly, as Odin and Heimdall put it, was a Mortal. A mortal capable of defeating the gods, and that too with just a single punch.
How do they know of him and his endeavours? Well, Heimdall can see nearly all that happens in the nine realms so....yeah.
"I don't think it will be a problem. It was just a short interaction my King." Heimdall reassured Odin with a calm tone of voice.
"I doubt that Heimdall. Tell me what happened?"
"You don't have to worry my King. They did not interacted for long. As far as I can see, their conversation was not anything extraordinary. Thor did not do anything foolish....yet." Heimdall said the last part to himself but he knew Odin heard him, if him nodding his head in agreement was any indicator.
Heimdall saw the interaction between the two, where Thor showed off his beautiful golden locks in front of the poor anomaly, who unfortunately lost his hair at a young age and was very sensitive about the subject. Heimdall decided not to tell Odin about that though.
"If what you are saying is true, then I will trust you on this Heimdall. But if something happens, notify me immediately. Now tell me, what exactly happened?" Odin asked again, but this time, much more calmly than before.
Before Heimdall can reply to that however, the sound of metal clinking caught their attention prompting them to look behind themselves to notice a guard coming towards them.
The guard came in front of them, then kneeled while putting his right hand over his chest where his heart is supposed to be, and stared at Odin with a respectful gaze and said
"My King, the Queen asks for your presence."
Odin after hearing the guard's words, looked towards his palace and gave a wave of his hand to indicate that he will be there in a moment.
The guard taking it as his cue to leave, bowed his head to Odin one last time and gave a respectful nod towards Heimdall, who was looking at him intently.
After the guard was gone, Odin turned towards Heimdall with a tired smile and said
"I think we should discuss this some other time Heimdall. I just hope you are not wrong about this man."
After hearing Odin's words, Heimdall stared at his King with absolute certainty in his eyes and said in a confident tone
"I am absolutely certain about this man My King. If Thor does not cause any harm to some innocent Midgardian, then this Anomaly will not be bothered by his presence, for that, you have my word."
Odin after hearing Heimdall's words, smiled a little. Heimdall has been keeping an eye on this Anomaly for three years now, and Odin was sure that he has taken a liking to the abnormal human. This also makes Odin a little bit less concerned about this man, seeing as there are not many people who can make Heimdall take a liking to them.
He just hopes that his son does not do anything foolish. Well, all things considered, Loki still doesn't know about this man so it should be fine right?
When Odin was busy in his thoughts, both him and Heimdall failed to notice a pair of green eyes replacing the previous brown orbs of the guard.

[Read this. It is canon]
Three years ago, Odin got notified about the strange appearance of some abnormal creatures that humans regard as monsters, and how they kept on attacking the Midgard.
The place they were attacking, albeit being a small part of Midgard, It was still under Odin's jurisdiction. So All-Father decided to take action to protect the mortal realm.
He couldn't do so however, as someone else already did his job for him.
That someone being a Mortal.
At first, that mortal was extremely weak. So much so that if Odin had to put a comparison in his mind, it would be that his strength would have been far below that of an Asgardian toddler.
But after a year, his strength skyrocketed. He was far above any human that Odin has seen in his entire life; when it came to physical strength at least.
His growth was astounding, as well as abnormal.
How can a normal human being get so powerful without any use of magic or anything special? It was something that nobody has ever seen before.
Odin wanted to meet this man, but was stopped by Heimdall himself. Heimdall told him that the Anomaly was not a threat, rather a possible ally. Meeting him at that moment would not have been a smart move, so Odin decided to trust Heimdall's words and left that man alone.
The Sorceress of Midgard also vouched for this man, proclaiming that he will become the biggest ally to Asgard. Odin didn't understand why or how that would be possible but he decided to just trust these people at the time.
Odin didn't trust the sorceress, not at all but Heimdall was a different story altogether.
Heimdall was a loyal subject to Asgard, and Odin knew that he would never do something that could possibly endanger the Realm Eternal so he decided to put his trust in the all-seeing Asgardian's words.
Despite that, Odin was still concerned about those strange creatures that kept on attacking Midgard.
They were beings that even Odin himself was unaware of. What were they and how did they come to existence? Even Heimdall had no idea.
They were getting stronger...far stronger than Odin predicted. So he decided to find their whereabouts and kill them himself to ensure the safety of Midgard.
But he couldn't find even a single trace of them. It's as if they weren't supposed to exist.
Odin still had his doubts however, he felt as if some sorcery was at work. So he decided to take the help of the strongest sorceress he knew, his wife Frigga.
Even after three whole years, Frigga was still looking into the matter without any proper leads. Despite the situation, she still seems to be quite happy with the fact that she found a new challenge; something that she became a stranger to after reaching a certain point of mastery at magic.
Being too strong sure has its own disadvantages it seems.
When Frigga was busy looking into the matter, those creatures kept on attacking Midgard relentlessly. They couldn't do much damage however, as they were all stopped by the Anomaly himself.
After Two years of relentless training and battles, the Anomaly reached a level of strength that shocked even Heimdall.
Two years. That's all the time it took for the abnormal human to surpass most of the finest warriors of Asgard. So much so that he was even stronger than Heimdall.
One more year passed, and now Odin himself didn't know whether he could beat him. Seeing as he was not in his prime anymore as well as the fact that they don't have any idea how strong that Anomaly has become.
All in all, that Anomaly was strong, and one of the few people in the entire universe who can make even the ruler of the nine realms vary off his strength.

1 more chapter to go, and we can finally get to see some action. Hurray!!
