Sinopse

Ren Jiang, an introverted architect, died. He found himself transmigrating into a psychotic villain of the novel he read. Thinking about gaining new martial powers, he excitedly stepped out of the door. He did not get the powers but ended up face to face with a childhood friend who was obsessed with the original body. Ren, "..." Trying to get rid of the obsessed friend he found himself entangled in life and death situation with none other than the male lead. Ren, "... Please, leave me alone!" With the help of his system, Ren, now, Dorion, tried warding off the evil people and correcting original's evil ways. He finally achieved a peaceful life.... Not really. Even, when he carefully avoided any troublesome interactions with the main leads, he still, ended up catching the eye of the male supporting character. A person who appeared at the end of the novel, just to torture the original Dorion. Even when the original owner begged for death, he was cured to be tortured again. Ren, "..." Looking at the tall figure coming towards him, Ren sneakily tried to wiggle his way out, "I'll l-leave right now. I-I didn't m-mean to come here…” Kade Death laughed, his wine-red eyes gleamed with amusement. He easily trapped the beautiful person in his arms, "You didn't actually think that I would let you go, right? The scared Ren, "..." I did, But I dare not say! "I let you go once, my sweet, not anymore..." Ren, "...System, H-Help!" System, "Why don't you help me?!!!! Save me from the claws of this nine-tailed fox!!!!" ---------------------------------------------------------- This was my first novel. And I realized that... To some readers it came off as a bit erratic at some points. Is it hilarious? Yes, absolutely. Is the story different than other transmigrations? Yes. Is it hard to grasp? Maybe, for some readers. I have learned so much after writing this. So, I am glad that I did. I may or may not edit it in future for better readability. If you are reading this, I am glad that you did. If you find it erratic... you can check out my other novel (◔‿◔). .............................................................

Chapter 1Reading Kills

Some books give you trauma for life.

The first kind shatters your world, leaving you questioning your entire existence.

The second?

The book leaves your soul shattered, and you wonder, what if you kill the author, and the characters of the book?

Going to jail for eradicating this level of junk is worth it.

No?

Ren Picked up a random audiobook to calm his mind. According to the description, the story was set in the futuristic era where people have different physiques, and some have different powers.

A male lead named Win Xander of level S physique, a third child of the Xander family, one of the most influential families, falls for a female student named Sabrina.

Happy ending?

Hell no!!!

The female lead doesn't care about the male lead's good looks, and money...pretty obvious. Sabrina is the embodiment of purity. So, as a sensible female lead, she ignores the male lead, making him angry and jealous.

She only liked her childhood friend, who looked after her since she was a toddler.

After making a final decision, she confessed to her crush, only to be rejected by him.

What will any girl do after a rejection?

Cry? Cut hair? Go clubbing? Something along these lines.

Right?

NO!

That's for "normal" people, and She is a female lead. How dare you mortals compare yourself to her?

The rejection fueled Sabrina's anger. Ignoring the fact that her crush had trouble with normal interactions, let alone a full-blown relationship, Sabrina pestered the male. She deliberately let the male lead see when she got rejected for the second time.

Why?

Ask Sabrina, Ren doesn't know either!!!

And Here comes the male lead.

No matter how long Win Xander chased Sabrina, she never took interest in him.

So, he stalked *cough* followed her to her home, where he saw his dear Sabrina laughing and giggling with a boy he never knew.

This boy was the topper of his class, yet he doesn't have much impression of the boy. Even spider webs are more visible in the dark than that boy. Forget about the face, Win had no idea what his name was. How could he, when all his time was spent chasing Sabrina and participating in Mecha fights?

So, Win Xander decided to find his weakness. He wanted to go for an absolute kill. He tried studying and ended up 25th in his class.

Win: "....."

After concluding that he couldn't beat the nerd in this game, he went to look for him.

There, he saw his beloved Sabrina, confessing to the Nerd and getting rejected.

He dared to reject her!!!

Now, how could he bear that?

But bro, shouldn't you be happy about the rejection part?

Ren was having a hard time grasping both male lead's and female lead's characters.

Clouded with anger, he went to his group of friends, which included Lifra Denaria, a girl of temper and too much pride and Zery Riones, a clown of the group. A popular boy, a rich girl and another rich boy whose only purpose is to make a fool of himself…yeah pretty "new".

A group of teenagers came to the absolute best idea they could come up with. To make the nerd, whose name they still don't know, fall for Win. Then, Win will break his heart just like the nerd did with his beloved. Pain needs to be repaid tenfold.

He enticed the students, and soon others started bullying the nerd. Win always appeared at the critical moment to save the day. Slowly but surely, the nerd opened up to him. He confided in Win that he was poor and hid it so others wouldn't look down on him. Imagine Win's delight when he found a new way to make the nerd's life even more miserable.

The next day became the official day where no one listened to the nerd's side of the story.

Even the teachers stopped standing up for him. No one wanted to go against the Xanders and other powerful families for a poor student who was only surviving on a scholarship.

At this point, Ren thought that it was a romance between Win and the nerd. He even checked the tags whether it was a dark romance BL or something else. The happy ending tag did assure him to continue listening to the audiobook.

The time passed, and the nerd ended up falling for Win. When Win invited him to the park near the school, he agreed. He had no idea about the rejection he had to face in front of so many students.

The point to note is that, no one knows how the nerd looks. He always wore a hat, mask or hoodie to cover his face.

The entire school watched the live stream of Love and Betrayal.

One might wonder, what the female lead did because Sabrina liked the nerd.

She was a sadist. Maybe, that was the only reason she liked the nerd.

After all, the nerd didn't have the best life out there. The author mentioned his separated parents, neither of whom wanted to take him in. However, that's all we know about him.

After a few days, the nerd disappeared from their lives.

Through various trials, Win and Sabrina ended up together. They fought for the family inheritance with Sister Xander, the second child of the Xander family. Don't ask where the firstborn is.

He died.

Why???

The plot!!!

After gaining a few hundred million with difficulty as high as one would gain fat after eating junk food, they decide to celebrate their success.

At that party, they encountered the nerd, again.

Nerd, who fell in love with the female lead.

Excuse me????

Nerd knew he suffered at school because of her, yet he fell for her.

Ren wasn't a fan of the male lead, but even he wanted to question nerd's loyalty.

Nerd, are you a masochist? S and M? Pair made in heaven?

That's not the point!

After all the characters gathered under one roof, they unlocked the super plot. A scenario used so much that without it, readers might think that the author forgot to put it in.

The kidnapping incident!

Ren "..."

At this point, Ren was only listening for the sake of ending the story, and to also see just how ridiculous a story can get.

Was it the nerd who kidnapped the female lead?

No. If that were the case, won't everything make sense?

The sister Xander kidnapped the female lead because… she liked her.

When did this happen? The last time both ladies were at each other's throats. Ren even supported the ongoing bet in favor of sister Xander.

It was because her character had more depth and definitely not because her strong personality and strong body which was Ren's type. Yup! Totally for the character.

Well forwarding to the story...

The nerd went to save the female lead.

Why is everyone falling for the Female lead?

Again, The plot!

Ren wondered about what the male lead would do next.

Much to Ren's dismay, Win Xander panicked and went after… the nerd.

He was still unable to wrap his head around the fact that he couldn't even make an insignificant person fall for him.

At this point, Ren checked the tags again to see if the story was BL, a genre he had been avoiding until now because his friend Rummi kept talking about her obsession with ukas, or was it ukers?

Don't worry Ren you will learn what uke is soon enough, but now is not the time to wander.

Somehow, everyone managed to reach where Sabrina was. The police were still nowhere to be found.

While fighting with each other, they found that the nerd sexually assaulted a girl who was only sixteen years old.

Ren understood the author's intentions for pulling the hidden molester plot because, till now, everyone was sympathising with the nerd. With this, readers had a solid reason to hate him and tilt in favour of male lead, and female lead.

The kidnapping 'party' was stopped by the male lead's friend, who was also quite coincidentally the elder brother of that 16-year-old girl.

There is always this one person with underworld connections, willing to do the dirty deeds for the male lead.

Then, just like every story, the police arrived at the end of the time when everything had been already settled.

The elder brother took the nerd to torture him, and the male lead was left to take the credit for saving the female lead.

In the end, the nerd died, sister Xander died too, elder brother Xander was already dead, and mummy and daddy Xander suddenly died as well.

At this point, Ren found the idea of opening up a coffin house in this world pretty profitable.

The female lead married the male lead.

The end.

Can someone tell where the promised fluffy moments, the long-awaited romance, and the sane main characters were?

What is 'relaxing while listening to audiobooks'?

Now, he might get high blood pressure.

To calm his mind, he went to the balcony. As the cold wind brushed his face, he felt a stabbing pain in his chest. His fingers only felt something wet sliding through them and he fell.

A bullet meant to kill someone hiding inside his balcony ended up piercing his heart.

Song of the Gardener of Souls [BL]

Rowan sees beauty in death. The Order he has sworn to obey only sees defilement. As the reviled Caretaker of the Order, Rowan has accepted his role as a dutiful outcast because he believes it is the only way to prove his worth to the man who holds his sisters’ souls as collateral. With his magic and his voice, Rowan can absorb death and transform it, but only in ways the Order deems acceptable to maintain the stability of the reality it claims to protect Order must subdue Disorder. Reality must triumph over illusion. He is tainted and always will be. Rowan has never questioned those lessons, but that changes the night he harvests a crimson soul that is more than human and chooses to keep it a secret. When Rowan’s song transforms that soul into a beautiful and mysterious man he names Wren, he is forced to accept that sometimes duty is a lie and illusion is the only thing you can trust. As the fabric of the Order begins to unwind and a new kind of Disorder takes hold, Rowan will need to choose again, stand with the Order that held him down, or forge a new path with Wren at his side. He may be the only one who can restore balance to the worlds, but only if he can find balance within himself first. ************************************* Updates 3-4 times per week. Note: This story focuses on relationships. I promise an epic romance, lots of swoon-worthy moments, and a healthy amount of fluff. When it does get steamy…you might get burned. Fair warning for explicit content. I don’t shy away from my spice. There are lots of side characters and couples to fall in love with, in addition to the main couple. If you love the idea of found family, you will be happy. This book is set in a non-heteronormative world, so you will see various gender identities/expressions and types of love. ************************************* Excerpt (if you want the full steamy version, you will have to read the book!): Still reeling from the new magic that coursed under his skin and unsure of how to react to the desire that threatened to take control of him, Rowan froze. Wren's hot breath against his mouth sent a jolt of pleasure through his body, and he choked back a groan. A different kind of panic flared in Rowan's chest, burning him as if he were the one on fire. This was what he wanted, what he'd thought about every night since Wren left. But wanting more was one thing. Acting on it was another. He'd spent so much of his life hiding, he didn't know how to do anything else. One corner of Wren's mouth twitched as Rowan pulled away. When he attempted to free himself from Wren's grasp, Wren just hauled him closer. Rowan liked that he didn't have to think about what to do next. His bare chest thudded against Wren's torso, and the heat from Wren's body merged with Rowan's skin, melting him from the inside out. "What did you just do to me?" Wren's deep voice vibrated against Rowan's chest. "The Disorder of your illusion was holding you captive. I…I absorbed it." "Oh? Where did you learn to do that? Have I been gone that long?" Wren's grip loosened slightly on Rowan's wrists as if he was satisfied now that Rowan was practically sitting on top him. Rowan stared at Wren's lips. He opened his mouth to protest, but immediately closed it again. "I know you aren't going to say that I shouldn't touch you." Wren's free hand splayed over the small of Rowan's back. "Not when you started it." Rowan's breath hitched. "No. I'm not going to say that anymore. Not to you." "I thought you were afraid to be touched." Wren's fingers traced a circle over the curve of Rowan's spine as if testing for a reaction. "I know that I'm not afraid of you." Rowan waited for the panic to set in, but all he felt was desire. "With you, I want…" "You want what?" "I want more." Triumph flared in Wren's gaze before he narrowed his eyes. "Really? Then why are you still trying to get away from me?"

hi and hello, this is my first time writing a review, so forgive me if it sounds strange. i haven't finished reading yet, but so far (ch ~70), i can't complain about anything. the MC's personality feels both consistent and likeable, the same goes for his system and many other characters. THEY MAKE SENSE. this story is NOT suffering from "Oh, i saw something interesting in another work, so i collect those things and stuff them all into my story" like so many others out there. there are genuine moments of surprise and amazement. the interactions and conversations are well-paced, and the world-building isn't just nice, it's great; there are several inventions i never saw elsewhere (yet, but i read a lot so they most certainly aren't common). And if they do exist elsewhere already, they're still described nicely and totally fitting into the story and flow. as seen in another review, there are some typos, but even as someone who feels rather allergic to them, it didn't break the flow of reading. It has a healthy balance between "omg I'm on edge" and "awww, so wholesome". I'm not sure how to say this, i just feel like the author put a lot of thought and soul into this work, making this an individual journey and definitely more than "just some random novel", also causing me to write my very first review because i believe this work deserves it. i hope the quality stays like this until the end, but i have a good feeling about this. So, for all those of you looking for a novel with its own not-copy-pasted soul in this genre, I recommend giving it a try! 🫡✨️
