Develop the personalities of your characters
Be sure to include:
The hero's motivation (what he wants to achieve ideally); The hero's goals (what he wants to achieve
specifically in the course of the story); The hero's conflict (what prevents him from
achieving his goals); The hero's epiphany (how the hero changes as
a result of all the events that take place).
If at this point or the next, you feel like going back to the beginning and tweaking things, that's a great sign!
Feel free to go back and make adjustments so
the story makes sense.
You should be comfortable with the fact that the outline is never set in stone, and you can continually make changes to it. Be prepared to even rewrite long, ready-made chunks when you need to give the story the right structure so that it fits together.
