Chapter 4

(Zaire Pov)

(Before ??? awakened his memories/ Morning of the day)

It has been a little bit since I awakened my memories and took over this body and began living in the one-piece world with my friends, Sadly Zach and Keagan have not awakened his memories yet.

Over the past couple of months, I have been Getting used to my new life, flying using my wings, and utilising my natural fire from my Lunarian heritage.

Over the past few months, I have begun training with my sword, I used the bases of my training off the saying " I fear not the man who practices 10,000 kicks, I fear the man who practices 1 kick 10,000 times" or some shit like that, I don't remember.

But I have been practising one sword swing for the past month and only just last month I started reading from my Haki manual and swordsmanship manual. Even though I read through every part of the Haki manual's Observation chapters I still haven't gotten a breakthrough in unlocking it.

At the moment I am walking around the forest on the island, At the current time of year the natural coldness mixes with the hot air from outside of the isle shrouding the island with thick fog making the island even more deserted than usual.

" Damn, I gotta find another one of those Frozone Bears," I say out loud as I walk around on the snowy island. Frozone Bears were kinds of bears that had meat that was high in nutrients but not to the level of sea kings but still a good amount.

While walking around the snowy Island I saw numerous amounts of Ferno Jays, They were essentially just blue jays that emit heat from their bodies that allow them to survive on this snowy island.

'Tch just those damn birds' I say as I remember the last time I had a run-in with them as I walked in the opposite direction of them. I only did this because the last time I ran into them, there was a whole swarm of them as they travelled in packs that ranged from 10 to 50 and due to their heat they accidentally lit my clothes on fire which caused me to freak out and jump in the water, making me almost drown due to my water weakness.

Shaking my head I rid my mind of those thoughts as I continued to look around the foggy and snowy landscape I see the exact thing I'm looking for, A pack of snow bears.

Snow bears travel normally in a pack of two and they look exactly like polar bears but are much larger and have a special power with their fangs to cause a freezing effect to whatever they bite causing snowflakes like freeze-burn patterns to form on their body and kill them.

Seeing the two snow bears I got ready to fly in and surprise attack the two of them, I see two more Snow bears run up to the other two and start walking away. 'Damn now that there are four of them I don't know if I'll be able to kill them all, I barely took down two last time' I said in my mind as I watch the four snow bears walk away

"Damn it, this is the time for me to train against actual opponents, Besides their meat will give me enough meat to last a few weeks," I say out loud as I use my wings and activate my fire as I use fire to accelerate my flight speed.

While flying towards the bears I grab Kozune out of its scabbard that was on my waist, I quickly cover the blade with my fire as I descend on the snow bear in the back's head.

Once Kozune's burning blade hit the snow bear's neck I felt some resistance coming from the bear as it tightened its neck muscles, making me have to use even more force to get the blade through the bear's thick neck.

'That thing was stronger than I expected, now I have to kill 3 more of them without the sneak attack advantage' I think in my mind as I jump back narrowly avoiding a slash from the bear in front of me, The slash hitting the tree and breaking the tree down

"Holy shit," I say as I swing Kozune at the bear's head, But as I do this I use my natural senses to dodge a swipe coming from my left by flipping backwards into a tree falling a little forward.

' I have to get a better view of what is happening in this fight' I say in my mind as I get up from where I was on the ground and fly up into the air with my wings almost getting hit by two of the three bears.

' That was close' I thought as I looked at the three bears from the sky, I was only 15 feet off the ground giving me a good view of everything going on, on the ground.

When I look at the ground I see the three Bears trying to jump and hit me with their claws as they stood on their hind legs, They were barely missing and I knew if they got any form of momentum they would be able to reach me so I quickly fly up another 10 Feet making me float 25 feet in the sky.

The three bears continue to try and jump and swing their paws at me but were farther away due to me being higher up. 'I'm gonna have to use my Hybrid form, I don't believe I am strong enough to keep control of my Full Zoan form' I say as I feel the sense of familiarity of growing a second head and the growing of fur around my body.

Now being in my Hybrid I felt there be a significant increase in my strength, Endurance, and my 5 senses. Feeling this I had a feeling of confidence in killing the remaining three Snow Bears 'I should look at my status in Hybrid form' I thought as I opened my status screen

'Damn!!! my stats increased quite a bit, it made my physical stats go into the one hundred' I thought as I closed the status screen and looked back at the bears who seemed to have stopped jumping at me and had begun trying to climb up the tree I was floating above.

I use my wings and fly down at the bears with the fire ignited from my wings giving me a significant boost in speed just like earlier when I killed the first snow bear.

Grabbing Kozune out of its sheath I fly at the Snow Bear with my fire going down the blade as I slash at the bear but just as I am about to hit the unsuspecting bear the bear to my left hit me right in my left side with its paw sending me flying into a tree.

After getting hit by the paw I felt some of my ribs crack or break as I hit the tree hard "Fucking Hell that hurt, Dammit" I grunt out as It hurt to breathe due to my broken ribs.

Looking up I see the bear that I was about to attack, Jumping at me so I rolled out of the way to the right dodging the attack as I launch fire from my second head at the bear who attacked me, as I also launch Lightning from my mouth.

Watching the fire hit the bear I thought it would have been killed by the fire but it seemed to handle the heat, but the lightning ended up killing the bear by electrocuting its brain.

Seeing this the two remaining Frozone bears both ran at me, at the same time as I stand up and use my wings to fly into the sky to dodge the slashes coming from the two bears while I hold the left side of my stomach with its respective arm, while I held Kozune in my right arm.

I swing the blade of Kozune down at the neck of one bear and in one fall swoop, the Blade manages to completely cut through the neck of the bear causing blood to fly everywhere and for the bear's heads to eat the ground with a thud.

Seeing this I realize I barely missed the second bear, but it did not matter as it jumped backwards once it realized I missed its neck with the blade of Kozune.

'Damn it, that should've killed them both, I barely missed and I'm getting tired I need to revert to normal I thought in my mind as I reverted to my base form and I feel a little weaker than when I was in Hybrid form but I know I am still quite strong for a five-year-old I think.

Looking at the Frozone Bear I realised it started running in the opposite direction of where I was standing 'Should I leave it alone or should I chase after it,

I do have two bears that are edible and should last me for a few weeks' I thought as I decided to leave the remaining Frozone Bear alive, I walk up to the two decapitated bears and put their bodies in my inventory.

After I put the bodies in my inventory I walk away from the bodies and back in the direction of my home which Has kind of upgraded from a cave to a little Hut that connected to the cave where I can hide if any marines or powerful enemies come to the island.

Once I got back to my house I took one of the bear's carcasses out of my inventory and prepared it to be cooked over the fire I had prepared.

After a short while the food had been finally done cooking making me dig into the meaty and juicy piece of Meat as I opened up my Mission tab in the system.

Looking at my missions I nod my head at this, I haven't looked at my missions since I awakened my memories but seeing the second mission I realized that I need to become a very powerful person in the future.

After I close my mission screen another blue screen showed up in front of my face making me smile at what I have just read off of it.

Hey, guys hoped you enjoy this chapter regarding just Zaire's everyday life and a quick fight I felt like writing for him before I upload the next character's introductory chapter.

And just Like Ceres, I increased Zaire's stats as he has been working out over the past month, just like Ceres.
