Chapter 35 Darkness.

While all of this was happening the world was not still, as the first week passed by, people that were like the Nuit family entered into the Gene path stage.

Genis path. At this step whichever the subconscious mind wants the body to evolve into, the body and soul will evolve into an Ethereal representation of the thing you want.

Naturally, for the people that are like the Nuit family, the system would have activated for them already as they understood themselves fully.

These types of people are only one step behind the Nuit family, who are at the peak of the Genis imposing step.

Genis imposing. At this step, one has to infuse Genis into the ethereal representation of the body and soul, doing this will turn it into reality. 

Currently the Nuit family, thanks to the accumulated cultivation from Eleonor, have managed to reach the peak of the Genis imposing step, unfortunately to advance, they have to master the powers of each of their current racial power systems. 

Something that will take people like Kaile a long time, as he has three paths, other people to awaken may very well surpass him as they only have one path, and even people with two paths that understood their true selves, and gained the system awakening achievement will advance quicker than him. 

The reward for understanding your true self is currently being experienced by many people all throughout the world, one such person being Jessica the dinner lady from school.

Jessica, sat on a bed at home with her eyes closed, her body was plump, her brown bob cut hair and brown eyes made her not really stand out. 

The air around her body sounded a bit restless, like something invisible was being attracted to her body, suddenly she heard a notification within her mind. 

Opening her eyes she could see a blue holographic system screen. 

''Huh!'' She exclaimed, some tears began to form on the corners of her eyes after she pondered on it for a while.

Unlike others, she is well aware of what a system is, as she reads novels in order to cope with reality. 

A few years back, even though she was yet to fully mature, her budding beauty couldn't be hidden, her bright smile would make any one melt, and her innocent big brown eyes would induce even criminals to avoid her instead of pushing her out of the way to escape.

Now however, after a crazed middle aged man killed her family in front of her eyes, her bright smile is nowhere to be seen, her once innocent eyes, although still there on the surface, after many years of fear and resentment, her mentality has become warped, her smile now hide's a malevolent desire to butcher the one who took her loving mother and father away from her that day.

The once budding beauty people could have all seen all but vanished, now that she had matured, no sigh of the former self could be seen, only a shell of her former self, a plumb woman who wares a mask without even knowing it herself.

So now that she sits on her bed after reaching the peak in the Genis first stage, and after gaining full understanding of herself, as she accepted that she's no longer her parents little angel they used to call her.

Currently in her mind, she feel that the system is her opportunity, just like in those novels, and in a sense she is correct, but at the same time she's wrong.

''What? No shop! No beginners package?'' Jessica's voice sounded low and disappointed. 

''Just what are you then? Just what do you do?'' She continued to ask questions, not allowing the system to respond. 

As the system, Jessica, and the rest of the world will be using has no spirituality, and is just an informational system, the system has no audio, the only way to communicate is through text. 

That's one of the biggest rewards Kaile and his family received, being able to have a foundational budding system with spirituality, it can be said to be alive, unlike what Jessica and the world have.

In response to Jessica's question, the system replied once the questions finally stopped, by this time, some tears couldn't help but spill over from Jessica's eyes.

[This is an informational system relating to Genis, anything can be asked, the system will do the best to gain the information.] 

After calming down, Jessica then proceeded to ask many questions, eventually learning that those who awaken the system early have the rights to 2 racial evolutions, and they can even have the possibility of becoming the progenitor of the race, if they are the first ones to step onto that path.

Something the system didn't mention though, is that Kaile has the ability to disallow that as well, and even if one becomes a progenitor, it's up to Kaile to allow someone to advance to become a primordial of their race.

All of this is possible because, Kaile houses the original scripture, the scripture isn't just words on a paper, but it holds actual authority, Kaile cannot make people evolve one way or another, but he can stop someone from becoming a primordial, or even allow someone to become a progenitor after killing the last one.

Kaile isn't the type to put limiters onto others, so he won't stop people from becoming progenitors, or even a primordial if they have that ability, however if he wants someone for example, a friend or family member to become one but they cannot due to someone else, even if that other person is innocent, he... He doesn't know what he might do.

Naturally, Kaile never would have had these kinds of thoughts before, as he was just a normal person, however after evolution, his thoughts have begun to change drastically, becoming more and more extreme, it would take quite some time for him to be able to control himself properly.

Jessica thought long and hard about the race she wishes to become, that's when a flashback happened. 

She was sitting at home on a comfy black leather sofa, her mother was sitting next to her reading a book and teaching her child the workings of the world. 

That's when Jessica asked an innocent question.

''Mom, how do doors work then?'' 

Her mother, whenever Jessica would ask such innocent questions, would always reply first by calling her 'my little angel.' 

So with that thought in mind, Jessica made the decision to choose one of her races as an angel.

At this point in time, Jessica only chose an angel just for her parents sake, a sort of remembrance for them, but knowing that an angel isn't known for its fighting power, she wants to choose another thing, something strong. 

Little does Jessica know that angels are very powerful in and of themselves, and given Jessica's current mindset of purity and impurity in relation to kindness and unkindness, her choices of becoming an angel will result in something a lot more profound than she could have ever imagined. 

As for her second race, isn't it obvious, Jessica wishes for strength, but more importantly, she wants to see her family again.

''I think I'll choose a Celestial of time'' Jessica said out loud, while pondering if such a thing was even possible. Just when she began to doubt herself, she could feel instinctively that it was possible.

Even though she doesn't understand how, but she can just feel it, this shocked her greatly.

What could possibly be stronger than time itself, not to mention once she is strong enough at using time, she can simply use it to get her parents back.

Jessica couldn't help but show her more crazed side at this moment, as she let out a hysterical laugh, with bloodshot eyes, once she calmed down, she began to weep like a little girl, curling up into a ball.

Elsewhere within the Neutral country, that very same young man called Tom Flockmen, the son of a military general of the Neutral country, the smart one from from the cafeteria could be seen, with a huge grin on his face, he just finished infusing Genis energy into his body and soul.

Tom Flockmen is a smart young man, easily able to score high grades in school, but he has always despised his own human body, feeling like it's weak. Tom Flockmen has always had a dream.

His dream was to fly through the skies freely and unfettered, to go places no one else has been before without having to rely on others.

So it's no surprise that ethereal golden wings sprouted from his back, a clear manifestation of his truest desires, this however is something he didn't notice, but he felt the sudden change within himself, like he gain something, just like Jessica did earlier, this allowed them both to confirm the race they wanted to got was selected.

Just like Jessica, Tom Flockmen also understands himself greatly, weak body but strong mind, wishes to be free and unfettered, to look down on living beings like the sun itself, he also looks down on people below his intellect, these are just some of his qualities as a person, suddenly a system screen just like Jessica popped up in front of his face.

You have to wonder, someone that's intellectually smart, doesn't like being caged, and wants to have the strength to back himself up, along with some other hidden desires only he knows, just what second race would such a person choose?

All around the human continent, many people were awakening the system, others that infused Genis energy into their body and soul, but failed to understand themselves, well, they might just regret it for the rest of their lives, as they will only be able to evolve into one race, most suited to their existence, also without the ability to chose, after all, how could they make a choice when they have no idea about it.

This is just a perk of activating the system beforehand, to be able to selectively choose the race you wish to have. (A/N I don't know if I have said otherwise within the story, but this is the law now, anyone that awakens the system at this stage has 2 choices, anyone else can only lament.) 

Back at the scene above the Nuit family house.

Salia has just taken off on board a standard military transportation hovercraft.

The hovercraft is square in shape with an aerodynamic aspect, the craft has no visible wings as the propulsion system doesn't need them, the craft is pure white in colour, signifying peace and purity, a ploy the military use in order to show friendliness towards citizens, after all this is only a military transportation hovercraft used within civilization area's, the hovercraft is not that strong, only able to block personal laser beam weaponry. 

As soon as the hovercraft left the ship, on board the captain's deck, the captain who is currently sitting down on his chair heard a report from one of his crewmen through his ear piece, and relayed it back to the butler standing behind him. 

Pointing his hand forwards, the captain created a holographic screen in front of him, using his privileges as the captain, the scene on the screen showed a ship leaving the carrier. 

''Head butler, the young miss has left the carrier.'' His voice was respectful. 

The butler behind the captain smiled a knowing smile, then shook his head, then said. 

''Just ignore it, if anything happened I'll take responsibility.''

The captain hearing this felt some weight off his shoulders, the words of the head butler carry a lot of influence within these leading families, as they are the right hand men of the leaders.

With a wave of his hand, the hologram enlarged and merged with the central hologram within the deck, the hologram that only showed the Nuit family house and the projection of the individual captain's now shows the ship entering into the scene, everything looks realistic, like they were standing their themselves. 

Back at the scene with Kaile standing in front of his family members with terror in his eyes, but with equal determination. 

The laser from the ship that was ready fired from the carrier above.
