The Battle of Redo Part 1

November, 30, 1420

The city of Redo is on their last stand, the city is filled with debris from the destroyed structures, corpses who's lying on the streets, and mens shooting each other with their rifles, and in the center of the city, everything is crumbling.

The city hall on the center of the city is getting surrounded, the soldiers on the top of the city hall have find out about this, so they went down to the ground to tell this to their captain.

One of the soldiers inquired, "Where is the captain?"

The man with the injured foot said, "His on the gate."

He sprinted to the gates and then yelled at the captain.

"We are being encircled, Captain, what should we do?"

But no one responded to his query, so he looked at the gate and saw that the captain is dead.

The captain was with other soldiers who, fortunately, are still alive.

One of the soldier looked at him and said "Get this key and open the vault on the very top room of the city hall"

He subsequently throw the key to the soldier, but the soldier was flabbergasted.

"What will this do??" He asked

"Just do it! it might be our only way to survive this battle"

"Alright.."

He was about to run back but the soldier stopped him and warned him.

"Please don't lose the key, the captain sacrificed his life for that"

The soldier nods before running to the top level of the city hall, where he discovered the vault with the mayor standing near the vault.

"Mayor what are you doing here" he asked

"I'm waiting for the key, do you got it?" The mayor said

"Yes"

"Open the vault, fast!"

Despite the fact that the troops are now losing all of their supplies, the vault has a lot of weapons and ammo. However, the blazing sword in the middle of the vault is what really stands out.

"What the hell" The soldier said

"Call the volunteers fast!" the mayor said while arranging the supplies

The soldier then run toward the volunteers on the 1st floor of the city hall and told them to go to the upper floor

Neo Bastion, an amnesiac man who is traveling to search for the missing pieces of his fractured memory, is one of the volunteers.

And when the volunteers arrive at the vault, the mayor told them to help him arrange the ammunitions and the weapons.

As the supplies are being organized by Neo and the volunteers, the mayor examines the blazing sword in the center.

"Do you know any fire users here?" The mayor asked to one of the soldier

"No, sir, all of the fire users on our company is dead." The soldier replied

"Dammit! only a fire user can use this sword"

"Do we really need it sir?"

"Yeah, only by using the sword, a novice lever fire user can become a grand level fire user. Too bad we don't have someone who can use the sword."

"I can"

The mayor and the soldier both turn to face the source of that voice, and what they saw is a girl on her academy uniform standing on the entrance of the vault

When the girl enters the vault, the burning sword suddenly ignites, the sword flames appear to be becoming more ferocious as she approaches it more closer.

The girl grabs the sword and raise it up, the sword flames disappeared as she gain control over the sword.

After that the soldiers asks her if she can fight

"Hey, can you fight?"

"Yeah i can, i'm a student of the Frontal Academy and i also got this diamond pin" She then showed the diamond pin on her chest.

After noticing her diamond pin, the troops are cheering and yelling that she is their hero.

Upon hearing this Neo look at one of his fellow volunteer and asked

"Hey what's a diamond pin?"

"Oh that? it's just a pin that really hard to get, because on Frontal Academy they got this once a year duel tournaments, one for swords and magics and if you actually managed to get 1st place on all of those you can get the diamond pin as a part of the award"

"Oh so she must be really strong"

"Yeah, she can basically save us from the invaders right now"

While Neo and the guy next to him is talking, the mayor walk next to the girl who wield the sword.

"Hey girl what is your name?"

"I'm Aria Laura"

"I see so your that Frontal student who just arrive on the city"

"Yes"

The people inside the vault just heard a loud explosion outside, and when they looked out the window, they noticed a large crater on the gates. Outside, the soldiers had all gathered around the crater, their weapons at the ready. The tension in the air was palpable as they scanned the surroundings, searching for any signs of danger.

When the explosion's smoke finally dissipated, they noticed a man dressed in metal standing, his metallic suit gleamed under the sunlight, reflecting an array of colors. The soldiers were astonished by his imposing presence, wondering who he was and what he was capable of.

The metal on the man suddenly broke, revealing a man with two swords on his back.

He swiftly unsheathed his blades, their gleaming edges reflecting the sunlight. With a determined look in his eyes, he assumed a battle-ready stance, ready to face any adversary that dared to challenge him.

The moment he started cutting the soldiers in half with his fast approach and quick movement toward them, Aria then jump from the window and made the decision to join the fight.

Aria tried to finish him off by attacking him quickly while she was still on the air, but the man blocked her attack, undeterred, Aria swiftly changed her strategy, using her agility to dodge his counterattack. With lightning speed, she launched a series of calculated strikes, determined to overcome his defenses and claim victory.

As they continue fighting, Aria's movements became slower and less precise. Despite her best efforts, the man's defenses remained impenetrable, leaving her feeling increasingly frustrated and exhausted.

"Your getting tired aren't you" The man said while blocking Aria's attacks

Aria didn't respond because she wanted to devote all of her remaining energy to the attacks she was making, but despite her best efforts, she faltered on her final strike. The man grinned and was about to stab Aria when he was fatally shot.

The man, however, was able to stop the bullet from striking his head by blocking it with his hand. He then turned to look in the direction the bullet had come from.

He saw Neo holding the rifle while perched on the window and grinning. When he later noticed flames beneath him, it was Aria she began to use the flaming sword, she's not using it earlier since she was still testing it's capabilities.

The man was panicking as he saw the flames beneath him. She tried to stab Aria again to stop the flames, but Neo quickly shot him back. Aria quickly stood up and trapped the man using the flames coming out of the sword.

Aria released a powerful wave of flames towards the trapped man and burned him alive. He screamed as he was being burned alive, and the screaming finally ended when his throat melted from the intensity of the flames.

Aria looked back to the window to see who saved her from death; she saw no one. The soldier and the volunteers celebrated as they watched the man burn, while Aria was looking for the guy who saved her.

Aria went to the window where the bullet came from; there was nothing there, not even a clue, so she took a look at the vault.

She saw Neo putting back the rifle to where he got it.
