Gil got though his training with Eve only focusing about what Tilly would teach him, and at the end of the session Gil didnt focus on recovering his stats properly but went and talked to Tilly.
"Morning Tilly" Gil said walking up to her "I dont mean to sound rude but you look a bit older today" Tilly had changed from looking around 18 years old to around 20 years old.
"Morning, thats very observant of you" Tilly said blushing a bit "I noticed as well and went to speak to Ava this morning, we think its due to the lowered mana in the environment in the human world that causing me to age differently. In the elf world there is stronger mana then here, there was one elder that lived until they where 2,000 before passing thanks to meditating on a mana focal point"
"Are you going to leave" Gil asked
"Dont worry I wont be leaving" Tilly reassured Gil
"Why not, judging from what you said you will slowly have a reduced life span" Gil pondered as to why she would stay
"Having a long life is fine but if i do nothing with it then whats the point, I can live long but feel like dying but can die you but feel alive." Tilly said "Dying young would still be another 200 years we think but thats fine, ive lived a better life here in the 7 years then the 140 ish in the forest"
"You make a good point" Gil added "Are there many worlds that have different amounts of mana in them"
"There are some, the two most drastic ones are the gate leading the 'Purgatory' which has very little mana and none in some places and the other being 'Aether' where there is so much some beings there are said never die" Tilly answered
"What type of monsters come from there" Gil was now interested in this as he hadnt found anything in the library about this.
"There has only been one being from the Aether gate to some through into the human world and it only looked like a blinding light appeared before walking back into the gate. The monsters from Purgatory are very different, this is what has been treated as a prison where the worst beings are sent in there with little mana many powerful being fall and die, but the ones that live grow even worse. They learn to survive on little mana and of they leave can cause havoc anywhere, this is where 4 of the God level being have came from" Tilly explained "This is all i am able to say"
Gil looked to where Tilly was looking and saw the foot of Leon disappearing, not even noticing he was there Gil turned back to Tilly.
"So what technique are we learning today" Gil asked eagerly
"Flower bloom" Tilly said equally eager "Is a beginners technique but if you cant make this then you probably cant make other elven techniques work for you"
"Okay... What is the premise of it" Gil asked
"Simple, makes flowers" Tilly said raising her hands and causing several roses to grow from the ground.
"What would be the practical use of this" GIl asked bending down looking at the flowers
"As this become more advanced you can get specific flowers to bloom, one of my cousins spent 200 years advancing the and can grow anything she wants" Till answered "There are plants that can heal, boost powers and much more" She added looking Gil look less energetic then before.
"Seems like a practical one to learn" Gil corrected himself "How do we start"
"You gather the water and earth mana in the air until you feel like the end result would be a wet ball of mud. Then infuse your own mana in the middle like a seed and imbed the whole orb into the ground. You will then need to send your own mana into the same spot like you growing it" Tilly explained.
"Like this" Gil was following on what Tilly was saying and recreating.
"Almost, you see the abundance of water mana there, use that" Tilly said.
Gil tried again at a point where there was a large amount of blue mana in the air, before he could move it to the ground he heard Tilly.
"Thought so"
"Pardon" Gil wasnt sure what he done
"You can see the mana in the air, not as well as me, but you can see it" Tash explained.
Suddenly Gil realised that when Tilly said about the water mana she didnt point like normal and Gil went straight there.
"What made you suspicions" Gil said letting the orb he was working on disperse
"You where following my directions to the mana filled areas better then normal and had a better understanding of getting the right ratio of mana then normally possible if you cant see it" Tilly replied
"I trust you wont tell anyone" Gil joked.
"I wont, ill just make your training harder for the remaining time we have together" Tilly answered in a happy voice.
Gil tried again at the area he was at and got the orb into the ground easier.
"Alright, now slowly send a constant stream of your mana into the 'seed'. At the moment that will do as where just learning the skill but the type of mana you send in will effect to plant you get" Tilly explained
Gil spent 2 minutes sending his own mana in the ground before closing his eyes as he could focus better that way. After a bit he heard to sounds, opening his eyes he saw the screen and a small bud coming from the ground and a system message. Closing the system message he looked at Tilly.
"Well done, your a prodigy" Tilly said bending down looking at the bud. "Seems like it will be a daffodil"
"How long for it to fully grow" Gil asked
"5 minutes"
"Okay" Gil turned back round to the bud, acting like he was looking at it he opened the system message again.
[Plant bloom learnt]
[Plant bloom lvl 1
Grow a flower from the ground, Depending on the mana supplied to the flower it will change the attributes of the flower, the stronger the power the better the result]
"Whats the best you can produce" Gil asked as the yellow petal's opened up
"Depends on the position im in as there isnt really a definitive answer" Tilly answered
"Whats your favourite then" Gil asked inspecting his daffodil
"I would have to say this" Tilly raised both hands in front lacing them together "Is a special breed of astral flowers i made" The flower was around 50cm tall, the stalk was a dark blue and had a few leaf's coming of it. The leaves coming of where the same shade of blue with speckles of purple mixed in. As Gil looked in the petal and was lost in the beauty of them, the majority of it was black but had speckles of yellow and white with the inner petals getting lighter and lighter, lastly the centre of it was light blue.
"Its amazing" Gil finally said
"Thanks, i love it but as youll see it cant survive here and will die rather soon" Tilly said lowering her hands. After a few moments the petals started to wither and fall.
"How come its dying" Gil asked
"Mana in the air is different from when i made it, not only that the ground as well, Im trying to make a new one for this world" Tilly said excitedly
Gil and Tilly spent the rest of the time slowly making flowers getting some strange looks from the other students until Sam walked in.
"Whats all this" Sam asked looking at the flower patches
"Mana practice" Tilly answered skipping away
"Right...." Sam made his way to Gil, first avoiding the flowers then walking over them "This time im going to step it up so be prepared"
Gil jumped up and started his training not stopping for the next 6 hours, when he eventually made his way to his room he saw a note on the door taking it off he made his way inside.
"Dear Gil,
Im sure you dont know thanks to your hellish training ive heard about, but there is a new event being held in one month.
This event will bring together the full first years before we go on a 2 week break to participate in a game chosen from the first year representative.
At the end of the special training there is a meeting for all the first years in which the exact event will be announced, there are some rumours as to what it will be but nothing definitive.
When the training ends come find me and ill catch you up on everything.
Kindest of regards,
Jade"
Gil read this and put it down opting to ignore it until the relevant time and checking his progress, he now had hope of finishing the task of reaching level 25 before the inters school tournament. Gil finished his remaining time training and Him and Tilly choose to stay in touch. On the Monday after the training Gil went to the food hall to find Jade and the others sat there in Tashs favourite spot.
"Morning, long time no see" Ruby said seeing him first
"Morning all" Gil said sitting next to Tash "How was your training"
"We've heard from the others you where training with about the stuff you where doing but what was your actual training" Ruby asked
"I spent my days split into 3 parts, first was improving my handling of mana and sword together. Next was improving my mana, taught by an Elf who was really nice called Tilly and lastly non stop fighting, the training was 6 hours long, That's not 6 hours in total but each teacher" Gil described his training adding the last part as Ruby look like she was goi g to ask something. "How was your training"
All of them started to rattle of there training. Tash had been taught how to better control her power and in turn learnt a new skill allowing her to create a small snow storm. Jade had been healing all the time and when she couldn't read books about the different ways treatment helps resulting in her healing power taking a lot less time for smaller injuries. Will was taught a few things by Leon and could now use his power to open a very small rift allowing him to pass through it which he demonstrated with a slice of toast, Gil was impressed until Ruby lifted hers and jammed her finger through causing all of them to laugh. Ruby had been doing basic strength training with large amounts of weights so she felt lighter when they where off. Lastly Hope had spent the 2 weeks finding objects hidden so she could advance her powers and now she can view around herself in a radius of 5 meters.
Once they all asked any questions they could think of to the others, they made there way to the front of the castle with the rest of the first years.
